Rose ecstatic over development of 3-point shot
Check my Stats replied to reno's topic in Chicago Bulls Team Forum
His mechanics always looked relatively solid. You can't be a superstar PG unless you can consistently stick a long range jumper, it is why Rondo might never reach that next level. -
Lol what a moron, I guess money talks though, 3/10 is way too much for him. EDIT: Not way, but he isn't worth more than a player like Z at this point.

This board is going to love this.

I am probably going to miss this game, might catch the tape delay on NBATV later. Demar is just having his way with everyone in the summer league though, it is really good to see him dominating these guys, if he wasn't I would have been concerned... his game looks a lot more polished and he looks so much more comfortable than last year, it is almost night and day.

Another PG lmao. -
Tracy McGrady close to signing with Heat
Check my Stats replied to Cobb's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
He doesn't really address any of this team's needs, he isn't a good shooter, isn't a great defender and won't have the ball in his hands.... he isn't a particularly useful off the ball player. I don't see why the Heat want him but I do see why he would want to go there. -
Sale Of Warriors Could Come Tuesday

So what happens if the Warriors get new ownership? Does that mean that Nelly is gone? -
Good choice on his behalf, solid pickup for Heat too.... can give them some solid minutes off the bench, or he could maybe even start for them.

Charlotte has traded Tyson Chandler and Alex Ajinca to Dallas for Dampier, Matt Carroll and Najera, a league source tells Y! Sports. 1yourself MJ, seriously.

Jazz might have just saved their entire franchise's future with this move. -

Hopefully they trade him for a PG, they really need one. -

Raptors going to acquire Diaw

Well at least Hedo is gone regardless, I am sure we can find a suitor for Jose elsewhere if needed, we just might have to give something up to drop him. -
I think if we can eventually prove to be a team that can win basketball games (I know, we are far away from this) we will be able to attract FA's. I don't think it is the weather as much as people think it is, but we are kind of a joke of a franchise. We have 3 playoff wins in 8 years, no top player is going to want to come here... But if we can string together some good seasons in the future, and put consistent winners out there, and put a good core of players in place (adding a top 3 pick this year would do wonders) I think we could eventually become a place attractive to potential FA's. People act like we are the great white north, Toronto hardly sees snow and is as hot as hell right now. I doubt we can ever sign top 10 players, but I think for most good players it comes down to winning, and if we can one day prove we can be a winning club consistently, we can convince good NBA players to come here, maybe not great players, but really solid ones. We will probably always be forced to get our franchise player through the draft though.

Are we approaching a decade of "Dream-Teams"?
Check my Stats replied to a topic in General NBA Discussion
The NBA needs a hard cap right now, see if these dudes are serious about taking CONSIDERABLY less money to play together. Anyways, the C's weren't really a dream team at the point they were formed (at least compared to the Heat), they were all entering the tail end of their primes, while the Heat (and potentially Knicks) are all in the prime of their careers. Lakers would need to add a top 20 NBA player to Kobe and Pau to even be in the 'dream team' discussion to me. Hopefully this doesn't happen though, a hard cap would be awesome, would be nice to see all the teams be on a level playing field financially. -
I like what the Nets are doing
Check my Stats replied to Bleed Green's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
What do the Raptors have to do with this, I just commented on the topic, I don't think I am hating at all. I just think that you use your max cap on max players, the MLE is there so you can get guys in that 5/35 million dollar range.... there would have been no harm (long term) in adding another top 5 pick this coming season and then using their huge amount of cap next off-season. What is the sense in fighting for an 8th seed when you could add another top 5 pick and a potential superstar the following FA. I am not opposed to the signings, I just don't particularly agree with them.... and I don't really see how the Raptors have had a worse off-season since they had no expectations coming in, if anything our off-season has been better because we accomplished our goals, while the Nets walked away from the major FA empty handed. -

Can the Knicks make the playoffs?
Check my Stats replied to Real Deal's topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
They are definitely in the mix, the combination of the lower half of the East getting weaker and adding a 20-8 big man along with a solid starting PG will surely add at least 10 wins to their total. I'm not expecting very much of Amare, their future is bleak as long as Amare is their best player, this team reminds me a lot of the Raptors last year with Amare being the Chris Bosh of the situation. Just lot's of role player around a star who isn't really a franchise player. -
I still hate everything about what the Bucks did this off-season, was pretty Colangelo-esque.

Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the dumbest one of all. Also please go back and re-read my post, I clearly said from HIS perspective, he won't have the ball in his hands as much as he typically wants (POINT FORWARD), which was his big problem in Toronto. And while he is a solid shooter, he isn't at his best as a spot up shooter, that is not his ideal role at all.
-
Considering he was responsible for all the contracts that were flipped I don't want to give him too much credit. It was pretty cool how he turned a 3 year and a 4 year deal into 2 year deals, but at the same time this wouldn't have happened if he didn't overpay to begin with... Brian has always been a pretty outstanding GM in terms of trading so deals like this shouldn't come as a surprise to us anymore, at least in my opinion. His weakness is, and probably will continue to be, is his incompetence financially, he has never signed a player here, or acquired one for that matter on a bargain deal, besides maybe Jarret Jack. Bargs (debatable), Jose, Hedo, Amir, all got overpaid. Is obtaining cap flexibility such as this that great of a thing with BC as our GM? With 20M in cap will we just wind up signing the next Hedo? Trade for another Rasho? Sign another Kapono? I love these moves as much as the next guy, but let's not call him a miracle worked quite yet, since the mess he is currently getting himself out of, is the same one he put himself in.

Boobie - "Cleveland Stand Up"
Check my Stats replied to Cleveland's Finest's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
PG without PG skills who can shoot the ball. Funny all these role players think they are going to step up next year and help the Cavs, they will win 35 games at most. -
If he said New York instead of South Beach I am sure your feelings would be dramatically different. Anyways, the NBA needs a hard cap asap.

Miller is perfect, though I wished (for the Heat behalf) they made a run at Redick.
