  1. Amazing deal, the age of the youngunz officially begins... I love that we don't have a single ball dominant player anymore, our ball movement is going to be awesome and with Sonny/Demar on the floor together, along with Jarret, we will be awesome in the open court. We are going to be really streaky because of our age but I expect us to be a real momentum team. I am expecting a huge year out of Jack next year, trading Hedo is going to shave a few wins off our season though, I expected him to be a lot better next year with CB gone... going to be an exciting team to watch, which is pretty cool considering we will be a lotto team as well... hopefully we can be bottom 5, this draft looks pretty good. I just really wonder where this leaves Sonny, we have a glut of small forwards and that is where I figured he and Demar would log major minutes... hopefully more deals are coming because I want Sonny to be a rotation player next year getting 25 minutes a night.
  2. Apparently Jose Calderon might be involved as well as Tyson Chandler, according to poopsworld at least.
  3. I don't... you use your max money to bring in impact players and stars, you use future MLE's to get role players. Basically I think they should have just stood pat, sign some 1 year guys and tank again, use their cap next year.
  4. Gambo620 Turkoglu agrees to waive $5.25 million of $6.5 million trade kicker. Turkoglu is under contract for next 4 years at roughly $42 million This is awesome. Now this means our starting 5 will be something like Bargnani-Davis-Weems-Demar-Jack... yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  5. Maybe, but Hedo isn't a great 3 point shooter and has always been at his best running off screens with the ball in his hands, not spotting up from 3... him at the 4 is going to be very interesting as well (if that does happen). Hedo is going to have to come into camp in shape this year for sure though, playing in a system like that.
  6. Source confirms Suns' huge 1-2 punch Sun. night: acquiring Hedo Turkoglu from TOR 4 Barbosa and s/t with ATL for Josh Childress. Story soon. And Poe you clearly don't know what makes Hedo a potentially effective player, I'll give you a hint, it isn't his spot up shooting.
  7. Hedo in Phoenix is even worse than Toronto from his perspective, especially with Bosh gone, hahaha, Nash holds the ball more and Hedo would hold it even less than he did here. http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/7610/aahhhhhh.gif
  8. http://www.azcentral.com/sports/suns/articles/2010/07/11/20100711phoenix-suns-acquire-hedo-turkoglu-josh-childress.html PLEASE.
  9. If you can get paid 12 bucks to work at McDonalds or 10 bucks to work in a top restaurant, which do you do.... Gilbert is just pissed because his employee said he would work at McDonalds longer than he did because a new great opportunity came up.
  10. Signing Blake pretty much sealed his fate.
  11. Still don't think Fisher leaves, this is just a way to get the money from LA he wants.
  12. This looks pretty cool, wish I was good at this game.
  13. They need a new coach... there is talent there but as long as they keep playing the way they do it won't work. But yes, Monta and Curry are a solid backcourt and Lee is a good offensive threat in the front court, Biedrins is a good player on the defensive end, don't really see where Wright fits in really.... but there is certainly talent there, I just don't think Nelson is the one who will help them realize it.
  14. Wade said it best, they are getting criticized for doing what the Celtics did, just instead in the prime of their career rather than the twilight.
  15. Magic should only sign him to that much if they intend on giving him 50% more minutes than he got last year, he will play well over 30 minutes in Chicago, if they re-sign him they should utilize him.
  16. This kind of blows, there is going to be a championship monopoly among a few teams if these alliances or whatever continues.
  17. I didn't watch the video or click the link but Simmons is kind of stupid, he is funny, but dumb at the same time. Anyways, the Heat ARE contenders, how do you define a contender anyways? The Heat have two of the best 3 players in the game, instantly come playoff time that makes them contenders, now they have the best 3rd option offensively in the entire NBA? People forget the Heat have 15 million dollars or so to fill out their roster, they can get some REALLY solid guys with that, via trade or signings.... I don't think Haslem is the answer (though he would be solid on the bench). They need a solid C who can hit the glass and finish off inside of 2 feet, nothing else.... they need a wing player, not necessarily a PG, but a wing who can shoot the ball and play at least a little bit of defense. They don't need a deep bench considering almost the entire game they will always have 2 all-stars on the floor and almost always have a top 3 NBA player on the floor.... Wade/LBJ log 40 minutes and Bosh 35+, they don't need great backups at these positions. If the Heat can sign solid shooters and some good rebounders who know their role offensively they are instantly the best team in the East. Of course the Heat right now are not contenders, they don't have a roster.... 15 million is a lot of money to fill out an NBA roster, they can sign 3 solid guys for around 5M a piece then fill out with MIN contracts, that would give them a solid 7 man deep team or so (how many guys did the C's have at the start of the year), then whoever gets bought out during the year could join them. The Heat already have more advantages than they do disadvantages. Also I don't know much about the draft, but who knows, one of those 2nd rounders could be the Heat's own Glen Davis. I know Laker fans are annoying people are declaring them champions already, but the Heat can't be overlooked... not to mention Bosh was pretty successful against the Lakers and Magic (top interior threats) this past season on a largely inferior team, I'm not saying Bosh can lock Dwight down, or Pau either, but he either outplayed them or stuck right with them in both games playing beside Andrea Bargnani....
  18. Mo would be a really good upgrade over Bibby, not big on Shaq going to Atlanta but if that is what it takes to get Mo, so be it.
  19. Signing him to a 3 year deal is pretty risky, that 3M is something the Knicks could wind up dumping next year so they can make a run at another big name. They should have signed him to a 1 year deal, of course they risk losing him at season's end but I doubt he will have a huge year that will command him major money next year.
  20. I know but I am just trying to make a point, people say if player x gets x many rings he is better than player y...
  21. Nah they are a team award and have no bearing on who is the better player right now (see Kobe and LeBron). If you want to use rings in a debate save it for players who are retired.
  22. Magic should definitely match this offer... it is only 3 years which is very manageable, Redick will make the Bulls a lot better with an increased load at the 2.
