This is why rings are so overrated in single player debates, technically if MJ is > Kobe because of his 6 rings this same theory should apply should it not?
-
How can they even do this when the Heat haven't had a chance to fill their roster out? Lol, ridiculous... Lakers are definitely the favourites because the Heat cannot even field a team right now.
-
I would bet you something on this.
-
This is just leverage so he can get the money he wants from LA.

Except the only people that are mad hated LeBron to begin with (Laker fans, specifically), and Cavs fans. It is kind of comparable I guess but I don't really see it.

Can the Cavs Make the Playoffs?
Check my Stats replied to Cleveland's Finest's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Can it? Yes. Will it? Probably not, they are littered with role players right now, Mo was the 2nd best player on multiple bad buck teams, Jamison has never been a main piece on a top team either... as it stands I see them as a 30+35 win team. -
Hopefully he is right, Demar and Davis would be really good complimentary youth/core pieces next to a potential franchise guy that we could lock up if we were a bottom 3 team (I assume at least, I heard this draft is pretty good). We will probably win 30+ games next year though, I think we are going to do better than people expect without the expectations for once.

Details of Contracts for Bosh/LeBron/Wade
Check my Stats replied to Jammin's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
Wade is the one who should have taken a paycut since he is the one who didn't have to make any sort of move and is getting the biggest benefit out of this. Anyways, this gives the Heat a bit more than 15M to get a couple more solid starter/depth players, that should be more than enough. -
Juwan Howard, James Jones and Raja Bell close to signing?
Check my Stats replied to Flash's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
Hopefully he isn't starting for them, he isn't as good as a lot of people think, let's not forget he is 34 years old... could be good for 20 minutes or so if he can still hit a J but he is overrated defensively at this point in his career. -
I was almost certain you only had to waive their rights to outright sign them (the situation with Turk is similar to this exact scenario)... by obtaining Hedo by a S&T we retained the rights to our expired guys and also maintained our MLE/LLE. Since they obtained the 2 guys via trade I just assumed that they would retain their rights, as well as the MLE... that would explain why MIA gave up 4 firsts and like 6 picks overall to get these guys via TRADE rather than outright sign them... by obtaining them this way their flexibility to fill their roster out is made extremely easier and more flexible.... I could be wrong too but this is what I thought from the beginning, and the Heat giving up so many firsts assured me of it. Otherwise there is no point in giving away so many assets to me, just to give them the extra year when they would have signed anyways.
-
People gonna be even more mad when the Heat sign Mike Miller and retain Haslem after the S&T's... getting the S&T's done is what should make Riley GMOTY, not getting them... putting the pieces around the 3 is what will define his success in putting this dream team together.

How Will Colangelo Use $14.5M TPE?

The JO-Marion swap. I don't care hopefully on Al Jefferson or something. -
Fish expect to meet w/ Pat Riley
Check my Stats replied to The Regime's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
Seriously Fisher came to mind when I was thinking of a PG for them, I was just unsure whether they had the money or not. -
Bosh is going to look so uncomfortable out there.
-
So when are the players coming out? These analysts seem kind of dumb, I'm not really paying attention though.
-
Miami doesn't even realize how lucky they are.

No wonder Beasley has the maturity of a 10 year old, his dad is a moron.

Charles Barkley : Lebron Will Never Be A Kobe or Jordan
Check my Stats replied to The Regime's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
Reminder: LBJ is still the best player in the world. -
I think they should have just conceded LBJ wasn't going there and rebuilt properly... the Knicks fans are used to losing and a team led by Amare won't be much more than a 1st round and done.... worse than this they should have saved their cap from this year for next year for guys who are really supposedly interested in joining (TP and Melo). LBJ going there was a cool idea, but did anyone really think it was going to happen? I think Walsch did a pretty bad job clearing salaries, he paid 2 potential lottos and Jordan Hill (another lotto pick) to the Rockets to take a manageable contract. Meanwhile the Bulls were dumping contracts left and right no problem. The Knicks are better off now but I don't think they have done a good job by any means. I'm not a Knick hater, in fact I don't 'hate' any teams, just don't expect me to applaud an effort that was pretty sad in my opinion.
-
Yeah but getting Iggy and Boozer is half of what getting LBJ/Wade and Bosh would have been, that would have been titles, this is ECF aspirations at most.... it isn't bad and there is nothing wrong with working towards something, but unless Rose becomes the best PG in the league and Iggy can hit 3's consistently the Bulls will never break through the glass ceiling of the Magic/Heat level, and Celtics as well for now. Rose-Korver-Iggy-Boozer-Noah is a pretty sick starting 5 though, in a typical off-season that is a major turnaround, but this year it is just meh.

Lol another lateral move for the 76ers, would be a nice upgrade for the Bulls but it still sucks they struck out in FA.
