Nuggets Nearly Landed Deron In 2005
Check my Stats replied to The Regime's topic in Denver Nuggets Team Forum
Have to figure that AI was headed to Atlanta in the deal, would have been a great deal for both teams to be honest. Hawks passed on another PG again, can't believe they took Marvin at 2, he didnt even start in college did he? -
Lakers interested in Kirk Hinrich
Check my Stats replied to Dash's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
I guess it would make more sense if Sasha was involved like you said. But still, the owners are looking to get a hard cap which means the Lakers are going to be [expletive]ed when they have to start trying to get down to the hard cap. I think if this team has the best record in the West at the deadline and are 1st or 2nd in the league, they will stand pat. The only way I see the PG position changing is in the off-season, through trade for free agency. I think the Bulls first option, like mentioned, is to move Salmons for an expiring. I think the only way that this deal happens is if LA starts to really struggle, and they are willing to trade just expirings for Kirk, that would mean getting another team involved or sending Fisher as well. And the Bulls would only do this if they were unable to unload the amount they needed to clear. I know people said Buss said money is no object or he will spend to win. But these owners, all of them, HAVE to be keeping the CBA issues and potential lockout in the back of their mind when constructing their teams, especially long-term. At least I would think so. I would be shocked if he tied 90+ million dollars into this team next year when not only the cap is going down but a hard cap is nearly inevitable coming into 2011-12. You have to look at the big picture, when the Lakers have Odom and Artest over 30 years old, Pau at 30 and Kobe well into his 30's, all these guys are on pretty big deals, and the Lakers will be forced to move them for almost no value just to get into the new cap restrictions, or they will be forced to move Bynum, Kobe or Pau, three guys I doubt they planned on moving in the next 3-5 years. Adding Hinrich will only make working under the potential CBA even harder. -
are the 8 seeds in the east already a lock?
Check my Stats replied to SRT Spidey's topic in General NBA Discussion
If the Heat fall out of the playoffs I am sure Wade is gone. I don't see how you can stay in a situation where management would rather sit around and wait for 2010 rather than appease their only star player. At least the Raptors and Cavaliers are making a serious attempt to please their stars, the Heat are completely neglecting Wade. He should leave just to make a point. -
You can't be a fan of two teams it is impossible.

I think the teams in the 8 spots now will be the teams in the 8 spots come playoff time. I think there is a serious talent drop off from that Bulls squad who is in 8th to Milwaukee and New York. Philly has the talent but they need a coach before they can do anything. -
Can Ron Artest create his own shot?
Check my Stats replied to The Regime's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
Artest has never been a good scorer, he always shoots a low percentage, he is just really streaky. He is not a very good spot up shooter though which, from what I can tell, is what he is doing a lot of. He just isn't quick enough anymore to get by his man, not to mention his feet are apparently pretty messed up. Artest used to be a guy that would get 5-6 APG, he needs the ball in his hands to do anything with it. He honestly reminds me a lot of a less crafty but better defending Hedo Turkoglu. -
Seriously lmao at Jack Armstrong.

Kings have like 9 points this quarter. Salami and cheese time with that 3 I would think.
-
Antoine Wright has been playing like a stud as of late.
-
Martin has been pretty invisible since I have been watching, Tyreke holds the ball so much it is hard for Martin to get touches. Not to mention Donte Greene is a big time ball stopper. Refs have been suspect as hell in the 2nd half. I just hope Bosh can carry us to the victory, I don't care how we do it, just do it please.

Honestly what happened to our defense? The Kings are just scoring at will.

Just woke up, typical Raptors playing down to the competition.

Lakers interested in Kirk Hinrich
Check my Stats replied to Dash's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
I still don't see the Lakers tying up that much more money long-term, especially with the owners seemingly deadset on instituting a hard cap soon. The Lakers will be in dire straights if they are at a salary of 90+ million with like 7 long-term contracts when teams are starting to get forced to LOWER their cap. Not to mention Kobe is apparently getting 3 years 90 million or something absurd like that, maybe if he takes a paycut or just stays where his salary is this makes more sense, but otherwise it just doesn't. -

It honestly should not matter at all what team you are on for all-star weekend, whether it be for the competitions or for the game. The best players should be in, period. I agree with you on Gibson, but not for your same reasoning, I don't care if he is on the Nets or Cavaliers, it doesn't change whether or not he is deserving. Besides Morrow didn't get in last year and was first in percentage, it is the same thing. -
I don't like team forums, I think it discourages general basketball discussion. When you post something in a team's forum it sucks how you are typically only getting thoughts from the people who follow that team.

Raptors Will Be Buyers In Trade Market
Check my Stats replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
If we could get Caron with Jose that would be awesome, I don't understand why we WOULDN'T take Stevenson, I really hope that isn't what is holding up a deal. Butler & Stevenson for Jose, Wright & O'Bryant works, get er done BC If we did that we would have like 25 million in expirings for 2011, and we could make a serious power move next year with all those expirings. -
I watch it, it is pretty good. That blonde girl is fine.

Suns 'Desperately' Want Iguodala
Check my Stats replied to Smitty's topic in Phoenix Suns Team Forum
Kind of a weird deal, definitely a lateral move for both squads. Sixers lack direction IMO, they need to tear [expletive] apart and just start over... don't trade your biggest chip for a big man who could easily walk at the end of the year, who also wants a max deal and isn't close to worth it. Sixers C-PF could be the highest paid in the league and neither are worth it. -

Just because your team is doing well doesn't automatically make your players more deserving. Anyways... Lol at Anthony Morrow not getting in, someone hates this kid. He is dying to get in, give him a chance smh. -

Kevin Durant is a beast!
Check my Stats replied to The Regime's topic in Oklahoma City Thunder Team Forum
I can't believe how he became a top 10 player so fast.... I tried to rationalize the Oden selection last year being alright still, but after he has become such a complete player already this early in his career, it is hard to argue Oden will be close to the player KD has become. I thought he might have a Carmelo type of 2nd year, but he got better. Thought he might be the same player in his 3rd year as he was in his 2nd, nope he managed to get better again. Not only is he putting up huge stats his team is winning. Durant will be in the same group as Kobe/LeBron/Wade at this rate. -
He is the best PG in the East but that is not saying much. He still has of holes in his game, and the Celtics definitely USED to hide some of his flaws. He is obviously better now than 2 years ago, but 2 years ago he was really overrated. I still don't think you can be successful in the future when your PG can't shoot, especially with how much the pick and roll is used these days, unless of course you have 3 HOFers to alleviate the pressure offensively and help spread the floor for you. His quickness helps though, I mean you can sag off and the kid can still get by you, he is best suited in a role where he is not featured or relied on to score IMO, and when you are paying a specialist (defensively mostly) like that 10 million, I just don't know if I can consider him an 'all-star', at least perennially yet. I could be wrong though, I mean 15 and 10 are pretty sexy numbers, I am just curious/anxious to see what he does once the big 3 are gone. Also your PG not shooting 60% from the line is pathetic, the PG is supposed to be the closer and the guy nailing down FT's at the end of the game for you.... you can't even have him bring the ball up because if he gets fouled he will probably split them. Would be scary to think how good this kid could be if he developed a solid jumper, not even a great one, just solid.

Is Chris Bosh one of the league's top 10?
Check my Stats replied to TheNextBestThing's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
What BFT said Bosh really has taken another step in his development this year, especially I have noticed as of late he is actually closing games out. A lot of times our guys forget about him and start launching 3's, but when Bosh gets touches down the stretch he usually is a sure bet to get a bucket or get to the line, or at least get a high percentage look. Bosh's D is also criminally underrated, people sometimes act as if he is some sort of defensive liability, when at the least he is a really solid defender, how often do opposing PF's go off on him? He is not a great defender, but he is really solid which is good considering the offensive load he has to carry as well. I believed Bosh was better suited in a role where he had another all-star at his side, or as a 2nd option, but after this year it is clear that Chris Bosh is a legitimate franchise player in the NBA, and is arguably the best PF in the entire NBA. Yes, Chris Bosh is definitely a top 10 NBA player this year. Just wish he could get some consistent support so his team's record would make that deceleration a lot more convincing. It is kind of hard to make a cut and dry list like that though, but when you tihnk of what constitutes a top 10 player, dominant offensively and at least solid on D, I think Bosh fits the bill. I mean all the guys 7-10 on the first posts list, could easily be argued as inferior to Bosh.
