This is why they brought VC in... he needs to match up with Kobe... got this game on NBATV.... hopefully the Magic are hitting their threes so we can see a close game. My guess is Lakers win by double digits though Hopefully everyone comes to play and we get a good game though. Hopefully this is a breakout game for VC.

It is something you definitely appreciate more when you are retired, but we all know Kobe knows how many career points the leader has, and we all know Kobe wants to be the man with the most. I applied there for Sports Management, same w/Laurentian in Sudbury.... going to go to one of those idk which yet, probably Brock if I get in mainly because it is like a third the driving distance lol.... plus I have been to St. Kits and it is pretty sweet. Also Niagara Falls ftw!

Never been a big fan of West's, feel like he is a major product of CP3 especially off the pick and pop.... West's mid range is deadly though so LeBron might be able to compliment him the same way CP3 does. Still think the Cavaliers need to get a legitimate second option on their team, this is just another bandage solution... get Jamison. If you look at game logs, West had a horrible first month, the majority of which CP3 was out. The next two months he has played much better, while CP3 has been back... I don't think this is a coincidence.

^^^ SG is definitely our biggest need, all our SG's suck, including Demar. Marco, Sonny and Antoine should play sparingly but all of them are in the rotation pretty much. A starting SG is definitely out biggest need, I think we might have the worst rotation of SG's in the NBA without looking. Either of these guys would hopefully allow us to bench the [expletive]ty 3 wings and give the bulk of the minutes to the new guy and Demar off the bench. In terms of who I would want I would frankly be ecstatic with either guy, but I think Caron would probably be the better fit. His slashing ability would be something that would address what we have lacked for years now, and let's not forget he has been a 20 point player the past 3 or 4 seasons. But Martin too is a shooter who would probably fit right into our jumpshot only system. I assumed Butler is the superior defender, but neither could be any worse than Demar.... but I will take Butler if I have to choose one. But honestly either of these guys would make us so much better IMO, especially if all we are losing is Jose, who mind you has been playing some really good ball lately himself. But really I have a gut feeling neither of these deals are going to wind up happening, especially if we catch fire and get our record even better EDIT- To the above, Hinrich is interesting.... they have wanted to move Salmons for an expiring for a while now, so maybe Calderon+Amir+Wright for Salmons and Hinrich would be something they would like.... Amir and Wright and POB if needed would provide expirings for Salmons, and we would basically be swapping Jose for Hinrich. Idk if that would be interesting to them, but it a pretty solid proposal that would address both teams needs, just would depend how badly they want to dump Salmons contract.

Dirk is so much more versatile offensively, Bargnani still gets the most of his points off spot up jumpers, a lot from 3 land. But Bargnani, since Smitch got fired last year, has continually progressed and there is no doubt that he is our second best player now. I think Bargnani has potential to be a better defender than Dirk though, especially since Bargs is bigger with potential to man up on legitimate Centers. Bargnani will never be as good as Dirk offensively though. Bargs looks like a really good second option if he can continue to get better and round his game out.... this is why I want Bosh to stay, with the strides Bargs is making they could form an un-guardable C-PF combo. A good example of how far Bargs has come, was when he made that quick move past Dirk for the and 1 dunk today. A quick, confident move by Bargs.

Rasho is involved in a potential deal for Caron so he probably isn't playing for that reason, according to some 'insider' on the RealGM boards

VC is definitely as good a playmaker as Arenas is.... both are SG's though, it just so happens Arenas is stuck in a PG's body.

Raptors holding tough so far. We are so much better at home, I think that it is easier for us to hold leads because opposing teams struggle to get into a serious rhythm when they don't have their home crowd behind them. I would be so damn happy if we pulled this out.

I think he is probably having trouble getting motivated when he knows no one really cares about this team's success right now and everyone is waiting for 2010. It is probably tough to get up to play when you know the team probably is dying to get John Wall.

I don't see why Nets would do this. Caron is playing so poorly it just doesn't make sense. Of course Devin is playing pretty horrid as well, he is 26 and definitely the better player, would just be a dumb move for the Nets. If the Wiz could pull this off that would be great for them. I think the Wizards are going to be hardpressed to get any sort of value for Caron until he starts to play like the Caron we became accustomed to over the past 3 or 4 seasons. I don't see why you guys would want this though, Harris might be better but the Wizards have lacked, during the Arenas era, mostly is a true PG. I don't see why you would want another combo guard/scoring PG at the helm after all these years of Arenas.

Such a dumb and ignorant statement. VC carried mediocre Raptor teams to the playoffs and a single shot away from the ECF, and always played fantastic in the playoffs. Was the best player on all 3 Net playoff teams. Carter affects the game in so many ways it is impossible for him to not help his team, he can shoot (albeit rather streaky), slash, pass, handle the ball up top, find his teammates. If VC doesn't help his team win then I don't know anyone who does. He is being utilized as a jump shooter in Orlando, that is why he is playing so poorly. You don't go from putting up all-star numbers in NJ on decent percentages to this garbage in one season, the Magic have yet to figure out how to efficiently implement VC into their offense. I think Dwight misses Hedo on the pick and roll.

Derozan would have been selected immediately if he was a Laker or on another big name team. I am heated that Demar might not get a chance to showcase his dunking at the dunk competition, chances are I won't even watch it if he isn't in it. I really hope LeBron and D12 don't go, especially D12. I am sick of the gimmicks at the dunk competition, hopefully LBJ would take it seriously if there and not put on some sort of outfit and do a lame dunk and get a 50.

I know it's only twitter, and also a no-name reporter of sorts in terms of basketball, but I still want to at least feel like it has some validity. What would you guys want to get for Jose? Do you think we could get anything decent for him at this point? I think he has played fantastic since coming back, if he can continue this play, maybe we can get his value to the point it was back in 07 when he beasted off the bench. I personally would love to nab a starting caliber SG for him. I think Hedo gives us an amazing insurance in case Jack gets hurt, because Banks can come in but Hedo can run the offense. A starting SG would be awesome then we can give Demar almost all the bench minutes and get Wright, Sonny and Marco basically out of the rotation, I feel like Triano is too nice to do this though -_____-
