  1. I am merely saying this is hypothetically all I can imagine us being willing to move. But Calderon does make sense in a way, while I hate on him he is still decent, and is definitely better than Udrih. People forget Jose averaged 9 assists last year, this would also allow Evans to shift to his natural position at the 2. And I am sure the deal would be littered with picks and [expletive] like that. Again, I am not saying the Kings are or would entertain this, I am saying this is the only deal that would make sense from a Raptors fan, or GM's, perspective.
  2. Derozan is the worst player I have ever seen at fighting through screens, he just... doesn't. We need a starting 2, NOW. Get Sonny and Wright out of the rotation and have a starting 2 and Demar get the bulk of the minutes, Marco at times too. Please, just get Sonny and Antoine out of here.
  3. Rasho is actually solid, we just don't have the minutes for him with the way Amir has been playing lol.
  4. Probably not. Bargnani and Bosh are both getting 35 minutes at least, you figure Amir will get 15-20 minutes, Hedo will see a couple minutes at the 4. I just don't think there is any room for this guy on our team. I always felt like he was a solid talent though, especially for shotblocking. Someone should take a chance on this kid, I just don't think us signing him would be good for us or him. Plus when (if ) Reggie comes back, there will be nothing for him, when Reggie gets back I will be interested to see how Jay handles the rotations, I wonder if Bargnani might see some time at the 3, there won't be enough minutes for Reggie and Amir though at this rate, and you can't take any minutes away from Amir the way he has played this year, no way.
  5. I haven't noticed how bad Jack is on D, that is probably in large part to me not trying to criticize him as much as I do Jose. But I think Jack just brings so much more to the table, he actually pushes the ball, takes some chances. He actually allows Hedo to run the offense at times... plus I just think Jack is a grinder and a tough player and Jose is one of our softest guys, I see him patting guys on the back on the other team at points in the game... I just feel like our team is better with Jack getting the minutes. Jack's decision making can be pretty bad sometimes, but I think his superior D, hustle and versatility makes him a lot better than Jose. Also I just plain hate Calderon.
  6. Jose should only get minutes if he is willing to not be the primary ball handler and more a spot up shooter. If he is willing to allow Hedo to have the ball up top more often then okay, because Jose is probably the best shooter on our team besides maybe Andrea. If he continues to always run towards the ball and do nothing when he doesn't have it, then he may as well stay on the bench away from Hedo.... I am convinced Hedo and Jose cannot co-exist. I want Jose gone though, he has definitely become my least favourite Raptor.... I am fickle though so that could easily change within the next month if he starts playing well
  7. I am still not sure how I feel about us potentially getting Martin. Not sure what we would offer besides something like Jose+Amir or something like that. If we don't have to get ruined to get him, I would love to have him here. Adding a 20+ point wing is something Bosh has always needed. But I have also heard Martin is a ballstopper and a chucker basically, so I don't know if he would be able to fit in Toronto. Adding Martin to the starting line-up would probably make us instantly better though.... I just question if we are 'really' interested or not. I doubt Martin will go for a deal like that though, I can't see us getting him and keeping Bargnani and Bosh. Martin on the Cavaliers is an interesting prospect though, a legitimate second option for LeBron finally, I think Martin would fit the billing. He would also get a lot of points in Phoenix. I just question what the Kings are looking for in return.
  8. http://www.nba.com/raptors/news/ulmer.html I admire that Bargnani wants to improve, it is nice to see from him he wants to get better and wants to be a good player. Sometimes I get that feeling that he doesn't care, but he has definitely helped make me like him these past few weeks, he has definitely been really solid for us. As for his rebounding, I think he will be hardpressed to get 10 a game, mainly because while Bosh typicailly takes care of the defensive glass, Bargnani just is not on the offensive glass, at all (1 a game). I think he will always be a lackluster rebounder, but if he could just average 18-8 for us, that would definitely be worth the money we are paying him, if he can continue to play solid D of course. Bargnani needs to work on his positioning on the offensive glass, when a play is being run for someone else rather than stand out at the 3 point line he should be getting into the paint to crash the glass. I admit I hated Bargnani when we were struggling early on, but as of late he is one of the main reasons we are playing so well. I am definitely coming to appreciate Bargnani more and more... wish he would get more looks though, I think it might be time he is made into the definitive second scoring option, and gets more touches rather than shoot spot up 30's 75% of the time. If Bargnani can even become just a good rebounder, or solid, you have to be happy as a Raptor fan.
  9. He was definitely one of the best, he had takeover ability with the likes of Kobe Bryant and Tracy McGrady back in the early part of the decade. Vince was easily a top wing and was the best wing in the East for many years, hence his like 5 straight all-star games or whatever it was.
  10. The West has more depth but 3 of the 4 best teams are in the East.
  11. How come it seems Kobe's hand is messed up every year?
  12. Should definitely be a playoff team, they have more than enough talent to be. Would just be a question whether they could put it together though. This team has twice the talent, without Kobe, the Rockets do and Rockets are in the playoff mix. The Lakers bench is pretty crappy though so that could be a problem.
  13. I agree with you, I said before the season he would average 20 a game. Guess I was wrong.
  14. I wish the Raptors had the expirings to chase after Iguodala.
  15. It's not just the internet, the people on the internet are real you know..
  16. Lol at a guy who averages like 20-5-5 year in year out being an underachiever at all. Oh yeah I forgot fans think if you don't win a ring your career was a failure. Ya sure he didn't wind up being Kobe, but who ever does live up to their expectations? Everyone thought LeBron would have a ring by now, I don't consider him an underachiever. Half the players in the league would be underachievers by this sort of logic. Vince is one of the best and most exciting players of this generation.
  17. RealGM says the deal isn't happening, which of course could just be a smokescreen. I want this to happen, only if Bosh says he is leaving obviously, not only because Bynum is an amazing way to save face but because Bosh could go and win a ring. If he went to LA everyone would start slobbing on him and realize he is a top player, he would finally get into the media spotlight more playing in LA. Honestly this team could be one of the best ever on paper with Chris Bosh, you would have 3 guys there who can score as a number 1 option on an NBA team, along with Artest and Odom.
  18. Demar went up and got that, please get this kid in the dunk competition. Matt Devlins (hip of Hedo guy) is such an annoying announcer, honestly -_-
  19. If Kevin Garnett had any sort of respect for the league, which I know he doesn't, he would also surrender his spot in the starting lineup to Chris Bosh. Bosh has been the 2nd best PF in the NBA and is being absolutely robbed because of idiotic fans, Bosh should be starting without question, KG can go but he should give Bosh the starting spot if he is allowed. Absurd that a guy putting up role playing stats is going to start over someone putting up 24-11 in less minutes than most stars, really pisses me off. AI and T-Mac should also pull out as well obviously. The fact that we even have to argue that 3/10 players in the potential starting 5 of the all-star game should 'pull out' should basically show David Stern this idea is very flawed. Maybe let the fans vote in 5 players, but don't let them pick the starters..... the best players should be starting, but the fact is that the most deserving players almost always don't. Amare making it over Duncan is also lol worthy, dude isn't even a C, he doesn't even get 8 boards a game does he? If so he barely does.... the best players should be starting, not the guys who the fans like the most.
  20. So wait, they are starting the story over again....? Like from Spiderman 1? Or they are just making #4 with an entirely different group of people?
  21. Hedo has been nowhere to be found as of late, Bargnani and Bosh are really the only ones doing anything. The 2 PG line up is so dumb but I would rather that than any of our other SG's out there, I just don't trust any of them besides maybe Demar. We need to make a trade, now. Get Jose out of Toronto, please please please. So, Jose comes back and we go 2-2, winning both games by the hair on our asses and losing the other 2. Is it time we start hating on Jose again :D
  22. Our coaching staff is too dumb to realize that Jose and Hedo can't co-exist. Jose is a ball whore, and Hedo obviously needs the ball to be effective. While I agree Hedo has been relatively disappointing, I still believe he can help make this team better. He can affect the games, at least offensively, in so many different ways.
  23. I always said he would be good, on another forum I forget which, I said keep him in mind last year for rookie of the year because I thought he was gonna light it up. Kid is just a scorer flat out. 48% is pretty solid though. I always thought Gordon was somewhat of a chucker, but he must be getting inside and getting high percentage looks to be shooting that well.
  24. I think this draft was great, lot's of good players who I think will be contributors down the road for a long time. Like you said though I doubt any player here is going to be a superstar besides maybe Rose, everyone else seems like they will be the 2nd fiddle guy. That could definitely change though if they catapult. But look, everyone in the lotto, besides Alexander I believe, is getting decent minutes on their team or is still in the league, and expected to be contributors on their teams long term. Then you have Speights, Randolph, Hickson, Batum, Courtney Lee, Ryan Anderson, George Hill, Donte Greene, DeAndre Jordan who all look at least decent who weren't in the lotto. I just think this draft was really deep in terms of quality players, but lacks the star power to be realized as a great draft class. They should definitely smash the rookies in the game though, lol.
