Ehh, we aren't losing much in this deal since I think Jose is very expendable. I just don't know how I feel about a chucker like Martin on our team. This would mean Demar would go to the bench and would see next to no floor time. Unless of course they run Demar-Martin in the back court and give Hedo the full reigns once in a while. I would just go for it since at least Martin is worth his contract.

I don't get why everyone thinks Arenas is playing any worse than he does any other season. He is just taking less shots this year. That Knicks proposition by Celtics in the earlier post is an interesting one, I can see the Knicks being interested in someone like Gil if they don't walk away with anyone special in 2010.

Anyways it is obvious people feel strongly about this, so it is whatever I suppose.

Honestly. The number of Laker fans would be cut in half if they had to cheer on a Kobe-less team like the Raptors lol. Anyways this could set the stage for a good finals. Build this into a legitimate rivalry, both teams will surely have the next meeting circled on their calendars.

Nate is a top player on the Knicks. If they are better without him that could have a lot to do with D'Antoni not being able to properly incorporate Nate into the team as an energy player, not able to utilize all his weapons. A player like Nate isn't a team ruiner IMO.

Idiotic fans are ruining the all-star game. The best players aren't even starting. I know that fan involvement is good for the business but they shouldn't be picking the starters, just 5 people in general. The Coach should be picking the starting 5, or a vote among all the coaches. KG should be a borderline all-star, at this rate he is a shoe in for the starting spot. Same with T-Mac and AI, absolutely ridiculous that 2 undeserving guys could be in the all-star game.

He is clearly trying to downplay this game. It is easily the biggest game of the year up to this point for both teams. The two best players go at it, two top teams as well. Potential finals preview, not to mention Shaq facing LA on another new team lol. There are a ton of back stories for ESPN to work with to make this game seem huge. Really both teams should treat this like a playoff game, because it should be a statement game, especially for the Cavaliers with everyone overlooking them, everyone is forgetting they were a 65 win team last year. I hope we have a duel between Kobe and LBJ.

This team was a 50 win team with Yao in the line up. No, of course they are not better without him. I don't think it is fair to say any team with a 20-10 big man can afford to lose him. No one takes the Rockets seriously as a threat, but if you add a player like Yao they become more of a threat at least. Yao is the type of player you should accommodate for because of how dominant he can be. If only the guy could stay healthy. Whether people realize or not, Yao and T-Mac have consistently led this team to 50 wins year in year out while being hurt consistently, if they could have been healthy consistently they might have been able to actually get something done.

Well that is the Pacers lol. Still Gasol is a stud, really saved that Pau trade from being absolutely retarded, at least Marc looks like a competent NBA player. He is the perfect complementary big beside a scoring big like Zach Randolph IMO.

Money has been tight this year, especially for a part time worker I chipped in with my bro and dad for an automatic car starter (50 bucks) and then bought a 25 dollar gift card for a book store for my Mom. Got my brother a hockey helmet with my dad for 30 bucks, still wanna get him something on the side with that idk Got my sister a controller for her nintendo wii for like 30 bucks and chipped in for a hockey helmet for here too lol, 20 bucks there Got my dad the hangover and some winter gloves he needed, like 50 bucks or so overall Spent well over 250 when it was all said and done though, burns my [expletive] how much xmas costs

There is only one ball to go around, would be hard to get everyone to buy into the system. I also think Pietrus would be better in the SL because he is the better spot up shooter. I doubt T-Mac would be interested in playing less than 30 minutes a game at this point anyways. With how much he is hurt it is easy to forget he is only 30 though, so he might be able to contribute as a second option or a core guy still.

He would be a guy I wouldn't mind on the Raptors if his attitude reflected his play. He is typically quite a black hole himself when he gets the ball. But he bangs and gets rebounds and plays good D. Too bad he is making twice as much as he is worth. This kind of reminds me of the pot calling the kettle black tbh.

I can't imagine Jose would come in and take the starting job back immediately. You can't really take Jack out when we are finally playing good ball, we haven't given up 100 in 3 straight games. Hedo is playing his best ball of the year and Jack has been really, really good for us. This has all happened with Jose out of the line-up. I think Jose coming in and running the second unit would be awesome, those guys are more competent defensively than our starting 5 and Jose would be playing second rate PG's so he would flourish again. Like you said in the other thread Jose coming off the bench is the best option. Don't rush back Jose

Honestly the LeBron not being clutch thing has been old since 2007. He is one of the best closers in the game now, he isn't Kobe Bryant but that doesn't make him a guy who can't close games out. Get that bull out of here. Also co-sign Warren, how can Shaq make an impact when he plays half the games and only 20 minutes a game at that?

I feel like the attendance, besides the top teams obviously, is down overall. I know the Raptors games are a lot less full than they were last year, at least the games I have gone to which is like 4. It is a shame a team like Atlanta can't even play in front of a good crowd, I can tell you if Toronto had a team like that we would be packed, I feel like the city is just waiting for us to finally have a good team again in any sport lol.

T-Mac back in Orlando would be awesome if he was willing to play his defensive role once again like when he was a rookie/his Toronto days. My concern is that he will never be able to be a role player, he has always been a Gilbert Arenas type of scorer anyways. He is still a really talented and versatile player, people just over-blow his scoring abilities, he is a streaky scorer but can have nights where he goes 8-26 from the field and just keep shooting. You would have to be dumb to not be at least intrigued, in the Magic's position, if someone as talented as T-Mac was interested in your team. He would probably have to come off the bench though. But the Magic would be adding to what is already probably the deepest team in the league, it would just be a cool story to see T-Mac and the Magic/VC reunite.

I am just about ready to begin the trade waive Jose Calderon and win the NBA championship movement Missed the entire game, but as usual our defense seems apparently better against a crappy team. We have to find a way to at least limit the good teams offensively. Holding any team to 64 points is good at this point though, stay hurt Jose!! EDIT- Wow, Hedo with 11 assists.
