-You know this how? LeBron can score pretty much anyway possible, but as a SF/SG why would a primary concern be offensive post play? Just curious. -Yes because 80% is worth scoffing at. Typical stupidity. -Umm, at his frame I am sure that everyone is absolutely dying to get in the post with him. You act as if he is a PF, LeBron is going to be playing guys that are 6'8 and like 215, he is consistently at an advantage in anything involving strength -Is this serious? He was a defensive first teamer last year, due in large part to the fact that he helped lead a top 3 defensive team in the NBA. To say he can't defend his position, small forward specifically, is absolutely ignorant. -And where has this conclusion been drawn from? The 20 games he has played with Shaquille O'Neal? Please.... -Yes, because this is a fact. Actually wait, LeBron is supposed to play off the ball? Why would the Cavaliers have Delonte West or Mo Williams hold the ball when they have the most dangerous player on his team? He holds the ball because he is pretty much the only one on the Cavs who can create for himself and others. I am sure he could play off the ball with another competent wing on his team, or an actual star at his side. Your 'points', if you even want to call them that seem to be based more on assumptions or opinions than actualities and facts. LeBron is talented, to say otherwise is absurd. LeBron now is better than Durant will ever be, because Durant can not carry the ball up the floor 30 times a game, Durant cannot affect the game defensively like LeBron can. Durant doesn't use his physical gifts (length and size) to the same extent LeBron is able to. The only thing I have yet to see you use would be the empty, 'he isn't a winner' or 'he isn't clutch' claim. Honestly, your hate for LeBron is so ridiculous.
-
Yeah, LeBron has no pure skill. You don't get 8 assists a game as a small forward if you have 'no skill'. LeBron has more skill than anyone in the NBA besides Kobe because no one can affect the game in the number of ways LeBron can.

A Reason For Optimisim Or A Desperate Reach?
Check my Stats replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
We are 3/20 against teams above .500. I think when our line up of hustle guys is most effective is against crappy teams, it means we haven't found ways to be effective against the upper echelon teams. While this is a new team I expected we would be 'gelled' by now. While I agree it is a slight sign of optimism to be had, I just worry what we have to look forward to. I mean what, if we continue to beat up on the crappy teams then we win 45 games, but then what get swept by a top team in the first round? I think our team has really just proven how mediocre we are. Also the better teams are able to pick our defense apart while crappy teams struggle to. Sure we can beat up on the crappy teams but hopefully as the season moves forward we have learn how to beat the better teams. I think we have definitely shown we are talented enough to be on the level of the Heat or so, but we need to provide consistent energy. It is like our team only gets up against the crappy teams. This is why I can't wait for Evans to get in the line up, because I feel like he will consistently be on his teammates, providing motivations and making sure no one is slacking. My hope is he can sort of be the leader of this team because I question whether or not Bosh can lead this team emotionally. I think if our guys worked their asses off and gave 110% every night, we could be a very good team. I think Jack starting is a step in the direction of our team having a better, more natural chemistry. Jose demands too much of the ball and it feels awkward when he is out there. With Jack we can allow Hedo to handle it more and we have a competent defensive PG on the floor for 30+ minutes. One thing I am not looking forward to is the return of the Jose-Jack backcourt -_- Also I think Sonny has been a stud since getting consistent minutes. If he can continue to play a complete game like he has of late I think he is definitely better than Antoine. He has forced up less and less shots and is getting a lot more comfortable, he is a good passer and a smart player. I hope he can continue this level of play and steal minutes from Marco. -
PP called out by Kenny and Charles
Check my Stats replied to The Regime's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
He was probably actually hurt. Dude was just milking the [expletive] out of it, probably twisted his ankle something like that lol. -
Howard is so athletic that he can recover so easily on any broken plays and still get a block. He is an amazingly physically gifted player. I don't know how he will be as he gets older and his quickness and legs start to go though, Zo was able to maintain his defensive abilities through his entire career. Dwight might rely on his athleticism more than anyone in the NBA.
-
Your hate for LeBron's attitude is fine because I agree with some of the points you make about that. But to let your annoyance of his attitude blind you from what he has accomplished and what he is capable makes you either ignorant. LeBron can affect the game in so many more ways Durant can. No player LeBron's size has the court vision, or the ability to throw the passes he does. You act like he is Dwight Howard of wings, but he actually has tremendous skill. Quit letting your opinion of his personality affect your opinion of LeBron the basketball player. EDIT- Fine take LeBron's athleticism away, he still has his passing ability and his shot is underrated. Stop acting like he will be immature when he is 30 years old. He could be Magic Johnson if he had some actual talent on his team to pass to consistently. He is only forced to score as much as he does because no one else can, LeBron is unselfish and could probably average 10+ APG with a competent supporting cast offensively. Larry Hughes/Drew Gooden/Eric Snow/Sasha Pavlovic went to the finals on LeBron James back, ask yourself how much worse is this team than Kobe's a few years ago? It is obviously worse but not a championship team, that squad doesn't win 20 without LeBron.

I honestly can't believe that the same number of people think KD will be the best player in the league as LeBron. Wayyy too much LeBron hate on this board. Durant is nice but LeBron in his 3rd year was an MVP candidate leading a terrible team to 50 wins, at that point he was leaps and bounds ahead of KD and still is. KD is a beast, but LeBron is going to be the face of the NBA in 5 years whether you Laker fans like it or not. Kobe might still be on a contending team but LeBron will be the best player in the league if he already isn't.

Monta's Shot at the All-Star Game?
Check my Stats replied to Legacy's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
I didn't even know he was dropping 25 a game this year until I looked at the PPG leaders in the West an hour ago. Durant got left off last year so I think Monta will probably get overlooked this year. If the Warriors were in the hunt for the playoffs it would probably be a different story, he definitely should get a look though. -
EDIT: I wasn't sure where to post this, if this should go somewhere else just move it please. Just your starting 5 and bench for the all-star game if you got to choose. I think the line up is 12 players deep? Iunno just do w/e you want. East: C: Dwight Howard PF: Chris Bosh SF: LeBron James SG: Joe Johnson PG: Rajon Rondo Bench: C- Brook Lopez PF- Josh Smith SF- Vince Carter SG- Dwyane Wade PG- Mo Williams Other 2: Paul Pierce & Iggy West: C: Tim Duncan PF: Dirk Nowitzki SF: Carmelo Anthony SG: Kobe Bryant PG: Steve Nash Bench: C- Andrew Bynum PF- Pau Gasol SF- Kevin Durant SG- Brandon Roy PG- Deron Williams Other 2: Chris Paul & Monta Ellis Guys I left off are but considered: Amare Stoudemire, Kevin Garnett, Chris Kaman, Gilbert Arenas. Paul is on my others because he has been hurt and the other 2 are having great years so far. I did this kind of quick so there could be an obvious pick or two I missed so don't jump down my throat if I missed your team's player

If people compare Kobe, a SG, to LeBron, a SF, then this comparison is easily fair. Especially when their skillsets and size allows them to do so many different things at different levels.

The Kobe/Lebron commercials are pointless
Check my Stats replied to Big Chief Triangle's topic in General NBA Discussion
How can people criticize LBJ's ability to win LOL. Honestly his second best player is Mo Williams and third best is..... who? WHO IS HIS 3RD BEST? Delonte West? Lmao get that [expletive] outta here, here his cast would not win 25 games without him but with him they are put into status of contending. He is on the level of Kobe Bryant whether you like it or not. -
My analyses on the Heat moving forward

I honestly thought, before this season started, Beasley was going to average 20+ this year. -
The Kobe/Lebron commercials are pointless
Check my Stats replied to Big Chief Triangle's topic in General NBA Discussion
LeBron is closer to the level of Kobe now then either KG or Duncan are, easily in fact. If you don't like that Kobe and LeBron are on just about the same level then you should close your eyes during commercials during Laker or Cavalier games. LeBron is the only guy who can be mentioned with Kobe because he is the only player who dominates the same way Kobe does. If this bothers you now, I wonder what you will feel like when people hold LBJ above Kobe in 3-4 years. -
Nellie to Turn Randolph Loose
Check my Stats replied to Legacy's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
I thought Nelson didn't play you if you were over 6 foot 6? Warriors have some nice young players hopefully Nelly is actually committed to letting them play and develop. -
Two articles on Raptor Point Guards
Check my Stats replied to BasX's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
Considering we have 20 million tied into average PG's this year ALONE I think Jose needs to go. He is making near max money and is basically the same level PG as our backup (Jack) is. I think Jose can still be a useful player but BC gave him too much money and now that is gonna bite us in the [expletive]. Losing Jose doesn't make us better but I would rather take the hit and have his contract go bye bye. Even someone on a 2 year deal would be better to me. On a side note I have always thought Banks was a competent player, obviously not a star but he got that contract for a reason. It is a shame his contract is the reason he is overlooked as a decent player. He isn't an ideal backup PG but he can provide some solid effort. With Hedo out there he is better because Hedo can run the offense and Banks can defend the PG's. -
Demar DeRozan Thus Far
Check my Stats replied to Check my Stats's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
The thing I love about Demar is you can get on him, and he won't get shook by mistakes. He is a player that will be easier and quicker to develop than Bargnani because he isn't a little girl who needs to be babied. Add to that he WANTS to learn and WANTS to become a good player I think we have a keeper on our hands. I just hope he can develop his handle and jump shot so he is able to one day break his man down one on one off the dribble. I think he is gonna be a good defender and he is already a good rebounder at the 2 or 3. -
Chandler Unhappy With Wallace's Comments
Check my Stats replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Charlotte Hornets Team Forum
I wish Wallace was a Raptor, any time you get 10+ rebounds a night from your SF you are laughing. But he would hate playing with Bargnani lol. This is the kind of attitude (Wallace's) that I am looking forward to see from Evans, he will call dudes out when they aren't doing their job. Never been so excited for a low rotation player before. -
PPG: 7.7 RPG: 3.2 APG: 0.7 SPG: 0.6 FG%: .439 3P%: .333 FT%: .782 Per 36 adjusted his stat line is 13.6 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 1.2 APG and 1.0 SPG. Overall what are your thoughts on Demar so far? Has he met your expectations? Exceeded? Less than expected? For me I think Demar has been better than I could have asked for or expected, I really expected him to be raw and make a lot of bad decisions when he had the ball. Instead he has been really composed when he gets the ball, typically doesn't force too many shots and just really seems to play within himself. His jumper is shaky but not as bad as many people said before the season, I think his FT% is a good indicator of this shooting nearly 80% already after only like 65% in college. Though his 3 point shot is still very bad, he has a pretty okay shot off the dribble. Like any rooke he has been inconsistent, he went through a stretch of averaging 14 a game over 5 games 3 of which were wins. But then he went through a stretch recently of 2-2-4-4 point games which 3 of those games were losses. I think when Demar is aggressive early on he is much better, if he isn't he gets yanked by Jay. Even when Demar has 8 in the first quarter he still gets yanked which is very frustrating. What I fail to understand is that with Jose out and Jack playing strictly PG that should open up around 20-25 minutes at the SG slot, but Demar is still stuck at his typical 20-22 minutes a game? Instead of increasing Demar's minutes he is giving the minutes to Sonny Weems and Marco when Demar is the guy we are supposed to be developing, and usually is the better of the three players anyways. I think what could wind up holding Demar back is Jay, with Jose out Demar's responsibilities and minutes should be increasing, but instead Sonny Weems is the one getting minutes with Antoine being benched (thank goodness). By the end of the year I would like to see Demar have some 30 minute games, but he has only done that once this year and it was exactly 30 minutes. I would like to see Demar get some more run with the bench players because that way he can get more touches. I really have liked seeing Jack-Sonny-Demar-Amir out there together, they get out and run and actually cause turnovers. Anyways, post what you have thought of Demar thus far.

The Kobe/Lebron commercials are pointless
Check my Stats replied to Big Chief Triangle's topic in General NBA Discussion
Laker fans stay talking about Kobe being better than LeBron. Nice first thread. -
Evans looks like a stud. Don't watch either but I heard Rose is absolutely horrid and lost on defense. Evans looks like a Dwyane Wade V2 looking at his stats. Honestly just give me Evans at this point, his numbers are awesome. Good comparison, though I wish Evans had a full year under his belt. I mean he could very well pull a Wade and average 25 next year or instead have a worse year. It is hard to tell, and we are still waiting for him to hit that rookie wall.

Bosh Says He Won't Look at Nets This Offseason
Check my Stats replied to Teletopez's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
Bosh is better than anyone else you could sign not named Nowitzki, Wade or LeBron. Funnily enough if you don't get LBJ you will probably walk away giving Amare a 6 year 120 million deal when he is worse than Bosh. -
Lol? Yes...... if his points are coming off the pick and roll with Steve Nash the majority of the time then I don't think he is a particularly great player. He doesn't play defense and doesn't have any commitment on the glass. He is all offense and isn't even particularly good there. He has had plenty of surgeries and what not but I don't think he is better than the guys I posted. Are you suggesting that I cannot have a different opinion than everyone else? It is not a fact he isn't top 5, a lot of people might put him there, I just refuse to do that for a player who shows no commitment defensively or rebounding, and isn't even dominant offensively. By your logic LeBron is basically as good a player as Melo or Kobe offensively because his PPG is comparable, when really he isn't. So it does matter how you can get your points, Melo and Kobe are far more versatile offensively which is what separates their games, particularly Kobe.

This team needs someone who can lead this team and organize this offense. I don't watch them but I figure that there is no structure, who is supposed to be taking the shots etc. They need a floor general at the PG spot, I mean honestly Jose Calderon would be better than Arenas at running the offense. I think they should package Gilbert+One of their wings like Miller or Caron for a competent PG and a good banger down low like Ben Wallace but better obviously. I don't know if such a deal is available, but they need to do something. I just don't think you can win when your PG is always thinking shoot first, and is completely ignorant to his own contributions to the team, he thinks when he gets 6 assists he is being particularly unselfish, I could be off base due to my dislike for him but I just don't think any team with Arenas is going to be successful unless he is playing with a SG like Brandon Roy or someone who can handle the ball. An Arenas-Jason Kidd backcourt would be awesome, Kidd could run the offense and defend the SG's, and Arenas could play SG on offense and defend the PG's. Get on the phone with the Mavs
