Iverson Sells Tickets, but Will He Win Games?
Check my Stats replied to NJNJ's topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
Adding Iverson most certainly should make this team better. Iguodala is a guy who doesn't command the ball and there isn't really anyone for AI to co-exist with. He should have a good year and I would be surprised if he didn't average 22 PPG once he gets into the swing of things. This team needs to try and trade Elton Brand though. -
Mapping the NBA: To Live and Die By the Three
Check my Stats replied to NJNJ's topic in General NBA Discussion
Pretty soon the only position that won't be capable of shooting from the outside, maybe not threes, will be the Centers. I'm surprised how efficient PHX has been from 3 considering the volume they take, thought Toronto's volume of threes would be higher though. -
Lol I doubt LeBron cares what he says. And he's not really calling him out as much as he is asking for a shot at the dunk comp. He wouldn't win but he can probably throw some nasty dunks down. It's a shame what a gimmick the dunk contest has become though. Demar would have to wear 15 and do a VC dunk to get perfect on anything.

Knicks Players Fed Up With Losing
Check my Stats replied to A.K.'s topic in New York Knicks Team Forum
Lol at Nate's comparison. Anyways the Knicks don't want to lose without having their pick. They should have signed AI, there was no long term risk and they could have just cut him if he was causing problems. Apparently he doesn't even require a guaranteed contract. But all of these guys will be gone when the Knicks are forced to give up their rights to use their cap. Unless they initiate multiple sign and trades with the teams they are stealing players from, which is doubtful lol. The Knicks might have enough to offer a max and a big contract, but after that all they can do is sign minimum contracts. They won't even have their MLE if I'm not mistaken. So unless they do sign and trades to get these guys they want then the Knicks won't be very deep past the two stars they sign, if they even get two stars. -
Chris Bosh: 'We're Just Not A Good Team'

We suck. Demar> -
Jack should be starting for Jose or Amir should be starting for Bargnani, or both. The two of them really can't be on the floor together but either way both of these guys make 10 million dollars and are BC's Golden Boys so Triano won't do this. A lot of stuff has been coming out lately about how Triano is scared to call out certain players and this is clearly Bargnani and Calderon and probably Turkoglu. For [expletive] sakes I am hardly even watching the game, but we are down like 30 and Hedo is on the sidelines laughing? JOKING? I would really love to know what is so funny because Raptors nation wants everyone in the Toronto organizations' head right now. Calderon and Bargnani don't try because they don't have to, they are going to play 30 minutes regardless. I would rather see Demar and Jack and Amir get the minutes because at least these guys are playing hard regardless of the situation. These guys make an effort while Jose, Bargnani and Turk just take jumpers all day and don't get back on D. This is just a frustrating team to watch, because the coaching staff isn't getting the best out of their players for one of two reasons. 1. Triano isn't allowed to give the minutes to someone other than Jose or Bargnani because of BC. Or 2. he simply doesn't have the player's respect. Today we saw guys questioning the schemes and some subtle shots at Jay it seemed, at least when things weren't so good with Sam last year no one was blaming the coach (at least players). We need a balance, we need hustle guys. We can't have 5 finesse players on the floor at a time, especially starting. Moving Jose or Bargs to the bench brings in a hustle player or a superiour defender/rebounder and adds a scoring punch to the bench. At least Amir is willing to crash the boards with Bosh. But like I said, Bargnani will probably never go the bench and Jose won't unless he himself suggests it. It is time to trade Bargnani before other GM's realize how horrible he is. He is averaging decent numbers so at face value he might still get good value. I would trade him for a package of picks or just a rebounder. When Camby got traded for a 2nd that was a great deal for LAC, that is the kind of deal BC needs to get in on.

The 'Answer' is now the 'Question?'
Check my Stats replied to a topic in Philadelphia 76ers Team Forum
He will average at least 20. Brand's numbers are going to plummet though, I expect the Sixers to get up and down the floor a lot, or at least they should. Should be a lot of cool connections between AI and AI. -
Missed the game, had hockey. Another L, I don't know how much longer I can keep telling myself "we have had one of the toughest schedules so far".

Do you guys think Atlanta is a
Check my Stats replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Atlanta Hawks Team Forum
Definitely more than the Cavaliers IMO, not more than the Magic though. The Magic have gotten a taste and are gonna be hungry, and while the Hawks might also be hungry to win they are still pretty inexperienced in the playoffs. Though the Hawks have pushed the Celtics to the limit before, I would still consider the Celtics the favourites, but the Hawks are still a serious threat to any team they play. -

How old are you? jw. -
We need to start Amir or Reggie when he gets back. Bargnani and Jose cannot be on the floor together. I can't believe how dumb BC is being, when Bosh/Bargnani do a more effective job on Nash off a switch then Jose does straight up it should tell you something. I know he isn't stupid but he either can't realize, or refuses to realize, how much his golden boys are hurting us defensively more then they are helping us. Jose is being completely exposed, he can't play off the ball and can't do anything outside his comfort zone. One thing he used to be good for was not turning it over but now he turns it over all the time.

Were you a fan of DBZ back in the day?
Check my Stats replied to reno's topic in Movies and Television Forum
Maybe the GOAT show. -
Lol, it wasn't his excitement. Not a chest bump, not a fist pump. He stared down a player who was down and couldn't even see him because he was looking at the floor in pain. The technical was appropriate because it was an inappropriate action after a play. They don't give technicals for players being excited do they? I am not calling Pierce the player dirty, I am calling the play last night a dirty play, intentional or not it isn't something you should be proud of. Kneeing a man in the groin then staring him down lol. I am saying if you are calling that play not dirty, then yes you are being biased. I am not calling Pierce dirty, so perhaps YOU should be the one re-reading my post lol. But what are you gonna do? The Celtics are thugs, their fans are going to defend them just as I probably would in your position. I don't fault the Celtics because I wish the Raptors played like that, but unfortunately they don't. But at the same time I wouldn't be sitting here saying a play isn't dirty when it clearly is, as were his actions. If Pierce got knocked on his [expletive] it would have been easily justifiable and I am sure Celtics fans would be calling whoever did it, probably Reggie Evans, a goon. This should have been an eye-opener for management. Bosh needs some backup, your franchise player gets demolished and no one even says anything to Pierce. For [expletive] sakes it looked like Turk was having a conversation with the Celtics. If Pierce was the one who got hurt I guarantee KG would have laid someone out, or Perkins or someone would have.
-
Also both of you quit being ignorant, imagine how frustrating it would have been to see Pierce get kneed in the gut, dunked on, hurt and stared down with NO ONE on your team doing anything. That [expletive] is frustrating to watch. But yes, Pierce can hardly get up anymore and had no business acting big after that dunk, he didn't jump over or through anyone, he kicked Bosh out of the way. It was a dirty play, and if you say otherwise you're either delusional or just completely and ignorantly biased. The play itself isn't what was frustrating, it was his reaction after. That fat turd thought he was so tough.

Wright Rips Into Raptors For Lack Of Focus
Check my Stats replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
A perfect example was Bosh getting owned last night. Everyone is so chill, if Bosh did that to Pierce I guarantee the Celtics would be dogging him and [expletive] would have gotten real. -
Pierce is too fat to jump over anyone anymore he has to stick his knee out to get to the basket. It was a dirty play and the stare down was completely unneeded, especially since Bosh was hurt from the play. If Bosh was postered okay stare his [expletive] down but the fact is he stuck his knee into his gut and it should have been an offensive foul if anything. But I'm not mad at Pierce, the fact that the only guy on the Raptors who got pissed off that our only good player just got pwned and stared down was our coach, is why I am mad. Boston turned their defense on the in the 3rd though, was really hard to watch our offense. Our announcer said to prepare for a game vs the Celtics you should run your plays against 6 defenders to get ready, pretty much right. Oh yeah, Peirce is a [expletive] lucky Reggie Evans wasn't there or he'd have been on his [expletive] next time down the floor.
-
Lol at Pierce sticking his knee into Bosh's gut, and of course he is the one who is going to look like a hero. It is also pathetic how no one on the Raptors is going after Pierce after that. Our coach is the only one who does anything, our team takes that [expletive] lying down. Pierce real tough staring down a guy who is down hurt. Would love to see Bosh run someone over even if he gets a charge, who cares. Of course he won't

Which should I get? Is 2k still the superior game?

This is gonna be one of those games where we hold the lead until 9 minutes left in the 4th and the Cetics go on a 13 run or something and we never recover.

The NBA's "Other" Terrible Team
Check my Stats replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in General NBA Discussion
The more losses the better as far as I am concerned. Would 25 wins really be better than 15? While in the standings it would be you are getting number 1 projected instead of 2 or 3. GET OUT THE TANK. -
I find sign and trades never get much value, usually picks at best. Bosh wouldn't come out and say that but if we assumed the info leaked that he was leaving from a credible source, I think his value would be very low. I think we might be able to get a pick of a second rate prospect package, but unless Bosh committed to that team I doubt he would get good value. If he was willing to commit to a potential trading partner his value would have to be very high, he is a top NBA big man right now. Bargnani and Calderon are the players whose value I am interested in.
