  1. They need to develop Bynum into the first option because Kobe can't score 30 PPG forever, if Bynum could become a legitimate star that would be great for the Lakers and bad for the rest of the league. As much as I hate it, Bynum is actually starting to look like he is worth that extension, kinda scary to think how much further along his development might be if he was on a team where he would be getting almost all the touches, instead of on a team where you have to make statistical sacrifices for the chance at a title obviously. Ideally if I was a Lakers fan I would want Bynum doing the most scoring and being 'the man' offensively so to speak in the upcoming years during the season, so that way Kobe can adopt the Tim Duncan coast through the season style, get his 24 points and all his other stats, all star games and what not, then just turn it on for the last 12 games and the playoffs.
  2. Knicks will definitely be the team throwing the max around, like BFT said if they don't get any of the big names, after like 2 years of basically telling the fans 'wait till 2010' they will overpay for a star, not a superstar, just to save face. Also wouldn't be surprised if Knicks walked away with Amare and JJ or something, even though I think JJ would be crazy to leave. I am almost certain Amare is going to NY, he would be crazy to though because he will get exposed while not having a PG like Nash, he will be exposed as the 2nd rate star he is.
  3. Fix that title, smh. Without looking at the schedules you have to assume Milwaukee will lose first at home, PHX has hardly any home games early on, like 19 our of 27 on the road to start the year so they will probably lose last. Really though you could probably just flip a coin because any of these teams could lose any night now.
  4. Yes lol @ everyone who went off of mocks and simply agreed with what the professional scouts said that Rubio was the best PG. Truly LOL. What is actually funny is you are declaring one PG better than the other, when the other hasn't even played a single NBA minute yet. More so how you actually are basing this off of the first 8 games because I am pretty sure you never watched Jennings in Europe. Hindsight is 20-20, don't act like you would have taken Jennings at 5 instead of Rubio. You say you aren't basing this off last night, but you ARE basing it off of 8 games, I wonder if your opinion will change by the all star game if his averages are down to 16-5. Mayo averaged like 24 PPG in November last year, where you one of the kids declaring him the next Kobe? lol
  5. Frye killed us, Bargnani is mentally challenged and kept leaving him alone on the perimeter. You would think a C who makes his living on the 3 point like would understand that he can't leave him to help over and over. Frye was definitely the game breaker, he hit some big shots for them and was really the only guy on their team who had it going from the 3 point line. This might be the best offensive game Hedo has played all year.
  6. Did anyone notice what the hell Ryan was wearing last episode? He looked like a preppy 14 year old lmao.
  7. Both teams get what they want, MJ continues to take on more salary for this Bobcats team every deal he makes. But Warriors get 5 million in expiring, potentially 12 if Vlad opts out which is doubtful, and the Bobcats get a guy who can affect the game positively in a bunch of ways if he plays the way he is capable of. Warriors get a salary dump, and while Bobcats take on more salary they should contend for their first ever playoff spot.
  8. With rumours that Pops could be headed back to T Dot, this would pretty much guarantee Amir's minutes would be at risk of being lost. This brings up my question, who would you prefer to see getting the minutes, Amir or Pops? For me it is Amir, I feel like he is getting better each game, and brings probably more energy than any of our other bench guys besides maybe Marco. He actually crashes the glass and creates a lot of extra possessions of tip outs and things like that. One of my favourite things about him is he knows his limits offensively, he doesn't try and create for himself and only takes appropriate shots, or layups/dunks I should say. When he is on the floor I don't have to worry about him doing anything stupid I feel like, besides the odd bone-headed foul.
  9. Marco and Demar, I wouldn't mind seeing them on the floor together at the SF/SG spot at some points, when the game is getting really up and down.
  10. Devlin just said on twitter Wright is out and Hedo is going. Anxious to see what Demar does in the extra minutes I expect him to get.
  11. Bosh will hopefully [expletive] on Amare further solidifying his status as an elite player if he has a great showing tonight. Phoenix's ball movement around the perimeter is probably going to kill us, if we continue this help defense nonsense we are going to lose handidly. If our defenders try and go one on one for once, most the time at least, then we might have a shot. I hate how we help on virtually every time they get 15 feet from the bucket, we can't leave the shooters tonight, period. My prediction: I expect Jack to have a good game, the first good game from him in a while. Bosh gets 28+ and 14+ rebounds. An up and down game where the Raptors get down by a lot early like in LAC, we make an attempt to come back get it to single digits but the Suns come back. If we can hit our threes in transition we might have a shot, gonna be a lot of jumpers tonight.
  12. He would be an absolute moron to leave the situation in Atlanta right now, even if it meant a bit of a paycut. The guy left Phoenix for money too apparently so we will see. No team with cap will put a team around him equivalent to the Hawks.
  13. He averaged 8 in past years where he took primarily jump shots. Now he hardly is taking any jumpers, the first time I have seen him take more than 1 or 2 was last game against the Clippers in the first half, in the second half he took it back to the rim and finished with good numbers. I would not be surprised if he averaged 12 or so and was first in FTA.
  14. Yeah that [expletive] had be rolling, Michael is hilarious, don't really find anyone else that funny though tbh. Wish we could get a video of where all of Dwight, Michael and Andy are at gunpoint after admitting they are all secret agents. Those 3 together are hilarious too.
  15. 55 is 55, just like 81 is 81. Regardless of the team you are playing both feats are impressive, especially for a rookie. I am loving this kid so far, I was not high on him at all coming into the league, thought he had a big head and would not get enough minutes to contribute. The kid looks like a star, but let's just wait and see before declaring him the second coming of AI, he is nice but what happens when the kids jumper isn't falling? Let's see what happens when teams start designing defenses to stop him. I still don't get how a kid went from a top 3 prospect coming into the NCAA season and fell almost out of the lotto just because he didn't play college but Europe instead. Extremely poor scouting by the teams who took inferior players before him, especially guys like Jordan Hill who isn't even logging minutes for the Knicks, and they don't even have a PG.
  16. Why not? Although I would take Duncan too it would simply be because of his track record and the guy is a winner. Even though Bosh is the best big man in the NBA right now.
  17. I am guessing 80% of those points are on dunks. Most improved players are typically guys who go from mostly non factors to high contributors, not scrubs to average.
  18. This team has a bright future, I doubt JJ leaves this team now in 2010 because they have a huge window of opportunity to contend long term, got a lot of good, as well as young, players there long term. Also this is HIS team, he has really developed into an outstanding player, I like his game. I have liked what the Hawks have been doing, used to love being them in sim leagues 2 years ago lol because of all the young talent they had, too bad they still don't have Childress lol. I think adding Crawford for nothing was a huge addition, and shows the Hawks are serious about contending. I think this team will get closer year after year, while they may not get to the finals this year, I would not be surprised if they were there any season these next 4 or 5 years assuming their core stays in tact. Like I said though, as these young guys mature and figure out what it takes to win night in night out, how to grind games out, they will be a threat. Because this team has a ton of talent on it, and they are young.
  19. When was the last time a rookie dropped this many? I can't believe he has 55 points right now.
  20. I would be absolutely shocked if JO wasn't hurt midway through the year. Whether it be major, or a nagging injury, I am almost certain after around the 65th game you will have a JO who is not playing at 100%, which is not a very useful player because he will begin to take almost all jumpers and will turn into a black hole on offense at times. The Hawks have more than one guy who can create for himself, Wade can't even leave the games because your best scorers are basically spot up shooters lol. This is why I think it is so important for Beasley to get minutes and touches because at least this kid can fill it up, and score in a variety of ways. I would like to see the offense run through Beasley while Wade is on the bench. As far as I am concerned the future of this team begins and ends with Beasley, if he can develop into the 20 point player he should be then the Heat look much better moving forward. If he continues this developmental halt and stays averaging 13 points all year then I would be concerned. IMO Riley should be shopping Beasley for a veteran/2nd option type of player this off-season, or maybe even now. You keep talking about the 2010 cap space you have, but you have a free agent of your own, and whether you like it or not you should be making all attempts to appease your star player, and Wade wants to win now not next year. I feel like Wade is being taken for granted, all the other teams are scrambling to retain their guys by making deals, while the Heat stand pat and send Wade into the season as a one man team once again. Also just a note, I was reading an article and the guy said with the cap projected to go down as of now no single team in the NBA is estimated to have enough to offer two maximum contracts in 2010. I don't know if it accurate or whatever, just saying.
  21. [expletive] I had a feeling this kid would be terrible. Here is is running away with rooie of the year 1/8 through the season.
  22. Didn't he go like 5 that draft? That draft was so garbage, the Raptors WOULD get the number 1 that year rofl.
  23. Would acquiring Stephen Jackson for Delonte West and whatever they are giving, expected to not be much, push the Cavaliers over the top? Or would the Cavaliers be better off waiting for a legitimate star to become available for Shaq or Z's expiring around the time of the deadline? Taking on Jackson and his contract would be a huge risk not only because it could cause an implosion in Cleveland because of this guy's head, but also if LeBron leaves this contract would be kind of annoying for a team that would be headed nowhere.
  24. All I am saying is the Cavaliers aren't invincible and there are still a lot of holes on your team. Atlanta would give your team fits if they were running up and down the floor, only Hickson and Andy would be able to handle it lol, Z and Shaq might literally die. Also Atlanta is not in the same class as Orlando and Boston IMO solely based on experience and track record of their players. But from a talent perspective the Hawks have as much talent as anyone and could beat any team in the NBA in a 7 game series. They are 9 guys DEEP, like 9 quality NBA players deep, all they need is another banger on the bench and a veteran presence and they could be poised for a deep playoff run.
