Just tuned in, let's go Hawks. The C's always have trouble with these guys damn.
-
Is anyone taking the Heat and Hawks serious as contenders right now? Both are at 6-2 right now and running wild at the 2 and 3 spots in the East respectively. Of course we consider the Celtics, Magic and Cavaliers contenders by default, but my question is, is anyone taking these guys serious as threats at the throne? Or is this 6-2 start by these two teams irrelevant and neither will finish with 50 wins? Do any fans of the big 3 (teams) in the East consider these teams a serious threat? Do these teams need to make any moves to push them over the hill, post your thoughts here.

Nash Moves Up On This Week's Race To MVP
Check my Stats replied to Sun Tzu's topic in General NBA Discussion
Damn Ariza is still putting up nice stats, I wouldn't have minded us getting him instead of Hedo for like half the price and 6 years younger, this in hindsight of course lol because I always thought of Ariza as a glorified spot up shooter who plays good D. -
Toronto @ L.A. Clippers
Check my Stats replied to alcstarheel's topic in Los Angeles Clippers Team Forum
I don't think the Clippers have the offensive firepower that the Grizzlies do. Also if Bosh drops 25+ he will tie Vince Carter's record of 8 straight games of 25 points, I would love to see him take a record like that away from Vince. -
Nash Moves Up On This Week's Race To MVP
Check my Stats replied to Sun Tzu's topic in General NBA Discussion
Lol at the Suns rebounding when losing Shaq for NOTHING. This is a guy expected to put the Cavs over the top, and a team went seemingly from lotto to a possible western conference heavyweight while getting absolutely nothing in return for him. I love how the Suns roster is put together, I have always liked Amare and Nash and I like Richardson too. There is a good amount of talent on this team, and although they might still be a move or two away, I think they could be a big man like Tyson Chandler away from contending. Also Amare would be crazy to play on a team that doesn't have a PG like Nash on it, absolutely crazy. -
http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime?page=dime-091114-15 Read the rest there ^^^ Pretty much what I have been thinking/hoping, just good to hear it out of a professionals mouth, or keyboard. I am more scared than ever to lose Bosh at the moment, because right now he is playing like a franchise player which is something he has never done before, he was always a second rate franchise guy to me but the Chris Bosh after the first 8 games of the year is a guy I would give the complete and total max contract to without hesitation.

What guns/sets is everyone using? I am just curious to what people think is the best. If it takes high level to unlock a perk or some [expletive] you are using, if you could note that would be good, here is mine: SCAR Gun with Holographic and heart beat thing for Search and silencer for team deathmatch Perks: Bling, Stopping power (soon to be cold blooded) and steady aim Flash Grenades and sticky grenades w/e that [expletive] is Death Streak copy cat

Who will be the Bucks leading scorer?
Check my Stats replied to Jenneral's topic in Milwaukee Bucks Team Forum
Ya I can't believe how good he is playing, but didn't Mayo have a start like this too last year? I'm not saying he will, but it is pretty likely he will hit a rookie wall eventually. Lucky for him he won't get the hook and will be allowed to play through it because there isn't anyone to replace him. I wonder if this will lead to more players going to Europe to play, while it may have hurt his draft stock, it definitely helped get him better prepared for the NBA game. -
Raptors Release Quincy Douby
Check my Stats replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
Nothing better to talk about Don't really care what we do with the roster spot. Nothing will be done until we see how this team looks with Reggie. Don't think I have ever been so excited for a guy with career averages of like 6 PPG to get in the line up lol. -

Seattle or Vancouver need an NBA team

I don't even know if basketball is popular in Western Canada. That is where all the Hockey teams have sell outs. -
LeBron changing his number?
Check my Stats replied to Real Deal's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Lol he is only doing it if everyone else does it. What did he say exactly, something like: "If I am changing then everyone else should have to". He also goes on to explain what significance the number 6 has to him like his childrens' birth dates, his HS number, Erving being his 2nd favourite player so please, don't give the Miami fans any more ammunition then they need lol. Actually damn, after thinking more it is kind of weird that two of his biggest suitors have the number 23 retired, but I bet they would un-retire them for LeBron lol. I don't think a number in basketball should be universally retired because no one in Basketball has been dominant enough to warrant that, basketball would be hard to determine the GOAT because of different positions and stuff. Unlike hockey where Gretzky is the undisputed GOAT because the only main stat is points, and he owns that record column easily. -
Well it is kind of annoying how people drag their own teams into discussions that aren't really involving that team. I try not to talk about the Raptors when it isn't in the question. Also lol at the Cavs bench being an attractive asset, the Cavs roster is ugly. If I am LeBron, which I am not, I would be looking at New Jersey first and Miami second. I would only be staying in Cleveland out of guilt because I would be leaving them in a mess without a title. That city has nothing going for them if LeBron leaves. He would probably only go to Miami because of Wade but that team still needs some serious work especially in the PF/C spot. Cleveland's Finest, no offense but you are a moron if you think the Cavaliers support is better than the Nets. Harris+Brook+Top 5 pick is much more attractive than any other team capable of landing LeBron. That top 5 pick, like I've been saying could land an amazing piece to this team to complete it. Do you realize LeBron has been leading those terrible supporting cast Cavaliers teams to finals appearances and 2nd round appearances? Mo Williams is his second option for crying out loud, Harris is better than Mo and Brook is better than anyone else on the Cavs. Don't you dare tell me that Z/Shaq-Andy-LeBron-Delonte (might be gone soon lol)-Mo is better than Brook-Top 5 pick traded potentially for star-LeBron-Lee-Harris with Yi as another trading piece. Also this Terrence Williams kid looks really good Not only are the Nets younger, the skill level is also superior. I am pretty sure depth of a team isn't something LeBron is looking too far into when considering his new team anyways. I always thought NJ was a pipe dream for LeBron, but now I see it as the most likely/ideal. The Nets have done an amazing job getting ready for 2010,keep in mind on top of the Max they can give LeBron they can also give around a 7-10 million dollar deal, or use that space along with Yi's contract and they top 5 pick to trade for someone who is already an established star. Perhaps a sign and trade for Joe Johnson or someone, not sure he is worth a top 5 pick but just an example.

With Eric Gordon out this has to be a W. Even if Kaman plays we have to win this game going into Phoenix, Denver and Utah. -
Missed Opportunities
Check my Stats replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
The only game I wish we could have back is Memphis, all the other games I can deal with the L's, because even though they are banged up they are still title contenders and their chemistry is much better than ours. Our guys are still getting used to the team and the system, just ask Jarret. -

He already has improved lol, he is back to his old ways at the line. -
I defintely think the Nets have the brightest and most attractive situation. Harris and Lee are as good if not better than the Cavs backcourt, and the Nets front court is one I'd much rather have mostly because of Brook. Also they have a high lotto pick coming in which you should include, the Knicks do not.

Anderson would have made a huge difference if he had gotten minutes IMO. EDIT- If he had played too, obviously.

Should there be a foul out rule in the NBA?
Check my Stats replied to AboveLegit's topic in General NBA Discussion
I would like to say he has a point, but he doesn't. When there is a holding penalty the other team doesn't get a chance to get a free point or two out of it. Like I said, I think he is an idiot, I respect his coaching, but yeah.... You can't really compare penalties in different sports because the repercussions of a penalty is different in each. I just completely disagree, if you are making constant mistakes you should be penalized. I know in minor hockey 3 stick infractions like hooking and slashing you get the boot in that game, I don't know about the pros but yeah... And the fans are being robbed? Usually it is scrubs fouling out, stars probably foul out 5 times a year on the high end, and usually they don't foul out until the fourth. I am glad I wasn't watching when he said this I might have thrown my TV down the stairs. -
Noah is making Bosh work his [expletive] off, refs seem to be pretty hesitant to call fouls on Bosh compared to usual, at least from what I've seen. I agree with you on Bosh he is playing on a completely other level right now, some Vince Carter type stuff we are witnessing in terms of domination right now, 7 straight games over 25 which is 1 game shy of the record set by Vince. Has Wright been covering Rose a lot in the second half? I just saw a couple plays where he was on him and I am just curious. I would like to see Wright get a lot more of the assignments against the quicker PG's. Would rather see a SG post up Jose than see PG's burn his [expletive] play after play. This was a huge win though, we absolutely could not go back on the road 3-5. We go in 4-4 and we can now afford to lose 2 of those games, if we come out of this gross schedule 5-6 that would be satisfactory. Besides Memphis we are taking care of the teams we are supposed to. Lol at Jose's post game interview he is so excited, surprised he didn't start speaking in Spanish.
