Turkoglu: Raptors As Good As Anyone
Check my Stats replied to Sun Tzu's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
We are definitely going to be a streaky team, that runs hot and cold. We are going to rely a lot on our jumpshooting. But I think we are capable of playing with just about anyone on any given night, it depends a lot on matchups. We create a lot of mismatches because of all the unconventional guys we have, Hedo the 6'10 SF and two 7 foot big men who play on the perimeter. Bosh and Bargnani just have to make opposing teams pay when they go small on us by taking it inside. But conventional bigs, like Shaq for example, are going to get torched night in night out by Bargs or Bosh. We gave up a lot of wide open threes last night though. I am looking forward to Evans coming back, he will bring a lot of grit and toughness and will be a good guy in terms of keeping the opponents off the offensive glass, which I still foresee as a problem for this team moving forward. But anywhere between 4-8 is where we would probably wind up, no chance we are winning 57+ games to get in the top 3 lol. Our season really hinges on Bargnani though, if he can be the 19-7 guy he was in the 2nd half of last year we will be a very good team, we have 3 guys who can go off any night in Hedo-Bosh-Bargs. I am just feeling really optimistic about this team right now, and I hope Andrea finally blossoms into the consistent offensive number 2 option we have lacked for the entire time Bosh has been a star. Bosh has never had a legitimate 2nd option beside him, but now he could have two (Bargnani and Hedo). It is a good time to be a Raptors fan with probably our best team ever on paper, hopefully we have a great year. If Bosh leaves after this year I will be rattled to [expletive]. -
LeBron still needs help
Check my Stats replied to AboveLegit's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
The only way to build around LeBron is FA, you can't draft because he will always have you in the playoffs and out of the lotto. While I agree they made some bad signings, LeBron backed them, he wanted most of the guys that were signed, to be signed. Also Hughes was putting up major numbers for the Wiz, not to mention the Cavs got [expletive]ed by Boozer AND Redd. I do completely agree with you though, this team is so scared of losing LeBron they will constantly try and put a quick fix around him in order to keep the team competitive. LeBron's trip dub tonight was so hollow, I hardly noticed him all game, felt like he wasn't even trying. He played really bad, the team just stood around and watched him I have no idea how he managed to get 10 assists, probably during that stint where the Cavs hit like 6 threes in a short period of time. -
Gilbert Arenas Injures Finger
Check my Stats replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
It would be better on his shooting hand, that would mean he would primarily be shooting in close and getting his points on drives/lay-ups. Also he would probably be passing more. Also why is that kid saying he would [expletive] on the Raptors any day? Arenas is trash, you mad? -
Shaq was extremely lazy when he was matched with Bargnani defensively, little to no effort to contest his jumpers. Got absolutely torched, I'd be interested to see what percentage of Bargs' points came when Shaq was 'guarding' him. It's too early to say this Shaq experiment failed. Shaq will not be guarding jump shooting big men all season, Bargs and Bosh will be giving opposing bigs fits all season, once Bargs learns to use his size when SF's like LeBron are guarding him he will be damn near unstoppable. But I feel like LBJ was more effective on Bargs than Shaq was.

Lol shaq was MINUS 25 tonight.
-
Surprised Jose didn't pull it out on that fast break. Great game, I wonder how Shaq is feeling right now.
-
JOSEEEEEEEE what an awesome first game of the season.
-
Get out the salami and cheese baby.
-
Surprised they didn't give LeBron free throws there.
-
Get some stops boys....
-
This is why we brought you in Hedo, close this game out please.
-
Things could get dicey now with Shaq out of the game. LeBron looks so pissed out there, he is giving off that "this is so gay" vibe.
-
LeBron is playing so [expletive]ty.
-
This is fantastic, everytime Shaq is in the game we pull away. I love watching Shaq fail, I hate that [expletive].
-
I wonder if they will take Shaq out now, I figure LeBron is coming back in but I kinda hope Shaq stays in.
-
Bargs took an early foul and missed a large portion of the 3rd. We need to get something going inside the Cavs are playing so small right now.
-
Marco has been a pleasant surprise all around, he is nowhere near as bad defensively as people made him out to be, at least in this game. Hedo is starting to do something finally. This next 12 minutes is going to go by really damn slow, I can already tell -_-
-
Cavs are starting to spread the floor, Shaq comes out and the Cavs close the gap a bit.
-
So many jumpers for Christ sakes.
-
How can you not take Oden at 2? No one in this draft has been anything special and Oden still has awesome upside. Horford is hell no, I would have taken Conley over him.
-
I will PM you a link I found, Idk if we are allowed to post streams or whatever on here.

justin.tv is your best bet if you haven't checked there. I don't know of any feeds I live in Canada so lucky me I get it on TV.

Shaq's expiring could still be useful. Like I said in the other thread, the Cavs starting [expletive]ty could be the best thing as it will force management to panic and make moves in a hope to appease LeBron. If they tear it up again the Cavs probably won't make any moves. But this game is still young, it ain't over till it's over.... especially with the King.

Who cares about the Bucks why do you have an OKC thing in your avatar? I'll try and be more active here as it will leave more to talk about with the season now underway.

LOL that had to have been at least 4 steps, the [expletive]ing guy started his lay-up at the 3-point line. [expletive] that is frustrating.
