Trust me, I've seen the Raptors squander more double digit leads than you would think.
-
The Cavs continue to launch 18+ footers. Eventually those are going to start falling I am trying hard not to get excited, this could be a typical Raptors game, LeBron has been quiet it is only a matter of time....
-
I didn't know Marco could throw it down like that. Bargnani is pissing, 20 points in the first half and it isn't even over yet.
-
The Cavs have looked worse when Shaq is on the floor, we just spread the floor too much for them to have two C's out there. Once our jumpers stop falling we could be in trouble though, not much has been happening in the paint, while their paint at least. Giving up so many offensive boards though -_-
-
Raps looking good after that stagnant start. Jose actually made a nice play on the fastbreak lol, Bargs and Demar are looking good early on.
-
How long is Evans out for? Would have been awesome to have him in the lineup tonight. Hopefully the refs are making sure Shaq isn't camping out in the paint (lol).

LeBron still needs help
Check my Stats replied to AboveLegit's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Ya that is why they need Redd. Just because Mo isn't a second option doesn't mean he isn't a valuable piece to a championship puzzle. He is still a skilled player who can drop 20 any night, but he can't be relied on to be a consistent distributor. -
JO and T-Mac are still way more overpaid. The fact Bynum got that contract based on his upside is disgusting though. He could still become a great player though and actually be underpaid if he becomes a close to 20-10 big man one day, though that is doubtful with Kobe and Pau still there. Bynum will get his fair share of chances to score this year though as he is probably 3rd option on offense now isn't he? Hopefully Artest doesn't take shots away from him.

Back in form implies he is playing to his old form. By the sounds of things he is a brand new player, I hope for his and the Wizards sake he has become a PG and not just a SG in a PG's body.

Mo is a good piece if he is going to be a 3rd option with a franchise player like LeBron. Mo is a good player but people thinking he was a second option on a championship team were/are delusional. Lol at acting like once Parker and Moon 'gel' your team will be improved, Parker probably isn't even better than Delonte at this point, he is just a bigger defender which is nice at SG and SF if needed. Moon is garbage, I am glad he is no longer a Raptor. -
It's time people realize..

I am glad to hear this. Nothing pisses me off more than a PG who chucks shots every time down the floor. But it is one game and 20 games from now it is very possible he fades back into his old habits, or if things start going bad he stops trusting his teammates and tries to be a one man show. But this team will never legitimately contend as long as Jamison is logging major minutes at the PF slot, sorry. The guy just IS NOT A PF. -

I was LOLing if they were on the floor together. Your team would get destroyed on the pick and roll. And your team isn't built for the long haul, the only 2 pieces long haul there are Mo and LeBron and that is only if LeBron re-signs. -
Gonna go d/l that Fif album right now didn't even know [expletive] leaked yet.

Are you being serious in saying this team is built for the long haul? LOL EDIT_ Wait what the [expletive]? They had Z and Shaq on the floor together last night? If so LOL. -

Michael Redd would be instant finals for this team IMO. Anyone who thinks this team is getting out of the East AND beating the Lakers without a drastic upgrade at SG is reaching, the Magic and Celtics will both be better IMO. I completely agree they need help, and the only attainable player/star of the top of my head they HAVE to get is Redd, and if they trade Z for him they MUST get Z back afterwards. Redd would be the number one choice, Rip is nice but is definitely not what the Cavs need. Rip is great off the screens and getting open but the Cavs need a guy to take the load off LeBron, they need a legitimate second option scorer. A 1A scorer so to speak, Mo and Shaq are not that and I'm not even sure Rip is due his lack of ability to carry the load offensively, Redd can be a guy who averages 25 PPG over a season. I think you were correct in saying the Shaq deal was overrated. He was brought in to defend D12 plain and simple, I don't even think he is a drastic upgrade over Z to be honest except when they need a big body down low, specifically on D12. Z nailing those jumpers off passes from LeBron is just as effective as throwing the ball to Shaq down low. The only thing this deal does is improve their post defense which will be helpful in the playoffs. I think the best possible start for the Cavs would be a bad one (record wise) this year, that would force management to use Z's/Shaq's, expiring unlike they did with Wally last year. Getting Redd is absolutely necessary, they probably should have done everything possible to try and get Vince last year. We saw 2 stud wings on the Nets go for very little, and the Cavs just sat by and watch this happen, they probably could have had either of those guys at the deadline last year. (Of course I am just speculating I am not an NBA insider). The Cavs have put a bunch of good role players and second rate stars around LeBron, all this team needs now is their own "Gasol" so to speak, that guy that put the Lakers over the top, and I have no doubt Redd could be that guy if healthy. If you have to get raped to get Redd, you do it regardless as far as I am concerned. -
Thought I would make a thread to talk about opening night tonight. We got the King in the house to start off our season. Should be a good test. I was supposed to be going to this game, will have to settle for watching it in the basement on HD now -_- Post your thoughts on the game before, after and during here.
-
They all killed it, Em and BT were right nose and nose and Mos Def was slightly behind if you ask me.
-
In typical Raptors form it will be relatively close for the first 28 minutes or so then the Cavs will go on a run and we will never recover
-
No one is going to be able to contain LeBron, Derozan is too small and inexperienced and Hedo, is Hedo. This game begins and ends with LeBron, if he is cold we will win if he is average/good we will lose. LeBron will need to play bad for them to lose this game. Was supposed to be going to this game <_< will have to settle for the game this Sunday vs Magic, which will be much more emotional with VC IN THE HOUSE.
-
Pierce, as much as I hate him, has ice running through his veins in the last 2 minutes. His mid range game is as good as anyones. Melo is definitely a bigger star and better individual player now though without question. Probably the best pure scorer in the NBA.

Haslem To Come Off The Bench Behind Beasley
Check my Stats replied to Poe's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
Beasley will never be a good defender, he is undersized at PF or he will be playing away from that hoop a lot. I think he will be a solid defender at both, or is at least capable. Starting Beasley is absolutely necessary this year though, he is the Heat's second best player. -
Pops Mensah-Bonsu vs. Amir Johnson
Check my Stats replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
Amir is definitely the better guy to have on your roster, neither would play much outside garbage minutes and Amir's upside is much higher than Pops. Neither of these guys are major rotation players on a team with playoff aspirations though. -

Rumors involve Bosh-to-Warriors for Biedrins
Check my Stats replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
Lol this trade isn't even close to worth doing this would take us from a playoff team to a high lotto team. Only deal Bosh if it is for a cornerstone or a legitimate building block down the road. Biedrins and Jackson and so on are nice players but not close to enough... would need at least Ellis in the deal. -
Bosh is usually near the top in FT attempts in the league if I'm not mistaken.
