Yeah I really like the makeup of your guys team. I was like "wtf" when they took RW but he looks like an absolute stud. Still need a banger down low but I like the guys you have, a lot of talent on that team. But the fact of the matter is Durant needs to show everyone that he isn't just a scorer, that he can do more than that. He needs to get more assists than turnovers, he just needs to do more of the little things to get those wins. But he is definitely going to be a top 10 player in the NBA very soon. Age considered he might be top 5 in terms of valuable players, that is up for debate though.

Odom now and always Odom. Odom is probably the most talented 6'10 player in the entire league. He is literally capable of playing any of the 5 positions. Odom is the guy you are always taking if you have to pick between the two as a role player on your team. Only other SF type of player, although many say he is a PF but take your pick, is LeBron James. Probably the two best passing forwards in the game. I've always been a huge fan of Odom's, and I know a few Laker fans who really neglect him and under appreciate him and it pisses me off because he does so many good things but all people can focus on is his "inconstancy" which I fail to see but whatever.

Durant is a borderline first tier all-star/superstar I consider him a top flight all-star, or 2nd tier, like Pierce and Dirk like mentioned above. He'll never be in the LeBron, Kobe, Wade, Paul group etc because they have almost no holes in their game and can literally carry a team. I don't watch Durant but from what I understand he is a lackluster defender and he doesn't have that great of a handle does he? Sure KD's stats are nice, but his team is trash, LeBron doesn't just put up stats, he hasn't missed the playoffs since his rookie year with a lack of help, his teams were the > Thunder but Durant is the only player on that team doing anything significant. It's hard to compare though since Durant hasn't really had an opportunity to put W's on the board, but regardless this is easily LeBron. I really like Durant's game though. What makes Kobe, LeBron, Wade so good is because they positively affect the outcome of games in so many ways besides scoring, seems like all Durant is doing right now is scoring.

Umm, how are you taking Lopez over Beasley? Lopez reminds me a lot of Al Horford, a guy who will be a solid player but I doubt he ever improves a lot. Beasley has a ton of potential to be an all-star in the NBA. If you look at Beasley's splits it's obvious the NBA was a huge adjustment, he wasn't able to do what he wanted when he wanted like in College when he dominated. I didn't watch Beasley closely last year but it's obvious he got a lot more comfortable as the season wore on, his FG% went from 45-42-46-48-48-55 month by month, he looks like he really put it together in the last month of the year in 8 games averaging 21-9 and taking more 3's than any point in the year. Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan of Lopez, he is a rock solid NBA player, he is a safe pick. But with Beasley the upside you have is a potential franchise player, a guy who will make all-star teams, a guy who will be the leading scorers on teams. He averaged 14 PPG in 24 minutes last year, I mean Beasley could break out next year and be a 20 point player beside Wade. It's obvious he is going to be an extremely efficient NBA scorer and dominant on the offensive end, his defense leaves a lot to be desired but his length alone at the SF spot will allow him to disrupt his opponents. The reason I am taking Beasley easily over Lopez is based on the fact when I look at Lopez I see a very good role player and a guy who would be hard pressed to make an all-star team. When I see Beasley I see a guy who could potentially be a top 10 scorer in the NBA. Also at 3 you are taking the best player available in my opinion, you don't worry about positional needs.

Was Wade better than LeBron last summer? Damn near everyone wrote Wade off, seems like dude comes back and has a huge statistical season and everyone is on his dick. Wade is doing now what LeBron was doing for years. You comparing titles already? Damn they've only been in the league 6 years man, sure at the end of their careers you wanna use that [expletive] okay, but LeBron has only really had a "championship" cast, if you even want to call it that, for a season since Mo got there. I feel like the competition at the top in 06 is worse than it is now, I feel like that 06 team would get destroyed now by the Celtics, Magic, Lakers etc. But it's not fair to compare a guy like LeBron to a guy like Wade. Of course Wade is more talented because generally guards are more talented, but how many 6'8 guys can run the floor, pass like a PG, throw it down as good as anyone and hit jumpers to a decently consistent rate? Talent itself isn't the end all be all of what makes a player better, Nash is more talented then Billups but does that make him better? Especially when Billups has a ring? LeBron is more dominant, he can potentially play 4 positions, he is the guy any GM in the NBA is taking first in a fantasy draft to build a franchise around. With Wade are the Cavaliers winning 66 games? I'm not convinced they are, I think LeBron affects the game in more ways than Wade does. Both are top 5 players, but LeBron is probably the 2nd best in the game right now, many would probably say first if Lakers didn't win the championship, but they did win so be it I'll give Kobe the nod at 1. Also LeBron has almost 4 extra years on Wade in terms of how long they'll be in their prime for since he is only 24 and Wade is like 28 isn't he? LeBron has plenty of time to win a championship, multiple in fact so I find it hard to use championships as a rock solid stat in comparing 2 guys who have only been in the league 6 years, especially when the Cavaliers have put together a relative sub-par cast for a guy like LeBron James in 6 years if you ask me.

People act like LeBron has talent now because Mo made a damn all-star game, by that same logic then KG had an abundance of talent in 04. Also that "talent" as you so ignorantly put it was the highest scoring trio in the NBA that season. Dirk has never got a chance to be on a team where he doesn't have to carry the load. Dirk is still capable of being the best player on a team, is KG? I'm not convinced he is. Is this topic discussing who the better player is or whose accomplished more? Because the past is somewhat irrelevant in terms of what players are able to do right now. Also a bit of a delayed response on the topic but w.e.

You honestly think that a bunch of role players, literally not a single first option caliber player is making the playoffs? Mo Williams was not an all-star and he still isn't, why did he get on? Because the team with the best record only had one, so Mo got the nod as a replacement. His best season EVER is 18 PPG? You are acting like if LeBron wasn't there he'd take them on his back. Dude was a 17 point player on Milwaukee who was terrible year in year out. Like many he is a product of LeBron James' ability to make his teammates better. Cavs don't win 30 games without LeBron and neither do the Heat. But the fact that the Cavs DID win 66 games with LeBron says a lot about what he does for a team, even without Mo this team was going to win damn near 60 games the way LeBron was playing. LeBron made the finals with a supporting cast of Hughes, Gooden, Z, Snow, Pavlovic and so on. Hughes was the 2nd leading scorer at 14 PPG on 40 percent with Z 3rd at 11 PPG. Wade had Shaq, still getting 20-10 on great %'s, Jason Williams and Antoine Walker who you guys act like is a scrub but both put up better PPG then Z at 12 each. Was Wade's cast amazing? No, was it better than LeBron's? Yes, and by a mile. In 2009 LeBron is winning 66 games with a cast consisting of a bunch of good defenders and a decent scoring PG in Mo. Yes the Cavaliers cast now is > the 07 cast LeBron had, but it's still not on the level of Wade's support. Wade still had arguably the most dominant big man in the NBA at the time he won the ring, to say he won singlehandedly is taking too much away from what Shaq brought to the team. Yes Wade was the best and most dominant player but you act like Shaq was Big Z or something which is just Look at it now, the Heat are running JO-Haslem-Beasley-Wade-Chalmers or something to that extent? In 07 the Cavs ran Z-Gooden-LeBron-Hughes-Snow. How much better are the 07 Cavs really?

Championships are overrated in terms of comparing careers IMO, especially for guys who have only been in the league 6 years. Some players simply don't get equal opportunities compared to others. For example, people hold it against VC that he's never won a title, but how many 'championship' teams has he really been on? None. LeBron won 65 games with Mo Williams as his second best player, Wade had a bevy of great role players in 06, and the most dominant post player in the game when he won the title, yes Shaq was still demanding double teams almost automatically. This isn't to take anything from Wade, he was amazing in the finals, but how can you use championships as almost an end all be all factor? So now, LeBron has the broken down Shaq some might say compared to 06 Shaq, if he wins a title this year (completely a hypothetical) is he automatically as good or better than Wade? Just off one championship alone? You basically throw everything else out the window? Wade is doing what LeBron has been doing for years now, dropping huge numbers without a cast, only difference is LeBron made it past the Pistons and onto the finals(albeit where they got owned) with next to no help and was winning damn near 50 games year in year out. Wade has a similar situation on his hands compared to LeBron, no help, and he can't beat the Hawks? EDIT- Mo Williams, Big Z, Ben Wallace, etc, are a "Juggernaut"? Correct me if I'm wrong but that supporting cast is no where near a playoff team without LeBron, but he got them to win the most games in the NBA, his cast got exposed in the playoffs though.

Raptors Trade Devean George for Marco Bellinelli
Check my Stats replied to The Goods's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
It's no secret BC has coveted Marco for a long time. I haven't seen the dude play at all, I doubt he is anything particularly special, if he was he'd be had for more than an expiring. Actually I just checked contracts and this is wack, Marco has a team option so he is basically expiring, the Warriors are trading a decent young player for a guy I heard we might be buying out. -
We don't even have a SG yet. We are still a 33 win team until we play our first game.
-
Still have Miami and Atlanta as the 4/5 seeds. 6-8 should be our target unless we have a season that exceeds my expectations. We might be able to catch 5 [Miami probably] depending on whether or not they get Odom, we'll see. But then again we haven't played a game yet and could win 33 games again for all we know. All I know is we have actual big man depth now, Rasho and Evans are insanely better than Hump and Pops and anyone else who backed up our bigs last year I can't even remember -_-. Maybe we won't get bullied so much on the glass with Evans in there.

I definitely think Allen and Rondo compliment each other the best, Parker and Manu would probably be my number 1 choice, Bibby and JJ is talented but Iunno I don't like Bibby that much. Nelson and Carter is right there too, we'll see how that pans out during the year. -

Raptors Officially Introduce Jack

Back loaded would make most sense seeing as we'd still have a portion of our MLE left to use. If we managed to somehow bring in Kleiza and Rasho to round out this off-season, that would be perfect. -
