Bargnani isn't as smooth in the way he plays [at least yet] as Dirk is. He still moves like a robot with the ball. Iunno, 5 years is a damn long time, hopefully Bargs can continue to do what he did last year and just score at an efficient clip and get a few blocks once in a while. ^^^And dude it looks like you are comparing Bargs 3rd season, his 2nd season he shot like under 40% from the field, was disgusting to be honest. But this is why Bargs was the right pick, does Gay, Roy or Aldy sign a 5 year extension at this point in their career in Canada? I doubt it, but Bargs wants to be here, hopefully he can keep growing, and this contract is meh because next year there would have been teams throwing money at a 24 year old 7-footer who can shoot the basketball as good as any big man. We would have had to pay him this much anyways if we wanted to keep him.

Teams always have a roster spot for guys who will give anything to win and play with everything they got for every second they're on the floor.

Wade is in the elite class where Bosh is an all-star. Obviously I'd prefer Wade but getting Bosh has turned out well too, the 2nd best player in Raptors history so whatever.

Are the Thunder a money pinching team? Just curious, they have all this young talent, but are they a team that will be willing to go into the lux tax when these guys are ready to contend? Or are they going to be like the old Hawks and ship out these guys once they need to get paid? If they are ready to shell out the money save it for 2010 when KD and co. are a year older and they might be ready to be good by then.

Bibby-Craw-JJ Talk about guys who like to jack up the jumpers. I'd love that 3 man SF-PG rotation though honestly, all of them can handle the ball, if Hawks can get Bibby back they will have a seriously talented team(as if they didn't already lol). The Raptors needed a second option, a SF/SG who can handle the ball and get scores when asked to. Hedo is a guy who does that, Ariza is extremely overrated in my opinion, maybe he proves me wrong in Houston, but he wouldn't get the same amount of open looks in Toronto as he did in LA, and he would have been as bad if not worse than the Kapono signing a few years ago if we were throwing close to 10 mill at him. He is just a defender who plays good defense, he is a role player.

For the money.

Are you telling me you can't play in the post as a SF? I'll admit that I don't watch Jamison, and you obviously have a better feel for what he is capable of, but I want my PF's to be able to be the anchor of my defense along with my C. Jamison seems like a SF for me, the thing I hate about Bosh is the number of jumpers he takes, Jamison takes a considerable number of 3's as well. The dude gets 0.3 blocks per game, unless you have Deke besides him then the Wizards have basically no defensive post threat.

Hedo by a lot.... even though his contract in accordance with his age is worse, Ariza is a glorified role player and Hedo is an actual difference maker, Ariza is younger but Hedo can be a 2nd option where Ariza is at his best strictly as a spot up shooter and defender. So in OUR scenario I'd take Hedo, maybe in a different situation I'd take Ariza, but here it's Hedo without a doubt.

I heared we offered 4 years 32, but then later that day we agreed with Hedo so I guess Marion wanted more. And when I was talking about using the MLE I basically assumed we got it, I don't even get why we have to denounce the rights to those players in the first place, but the CBA is what it is.

Sorry but you can't legitimately contend contend when you have a SF playing PF. Wizards wasted that pick IMO, there had to be better value out there than Miller and Foye. Jamison at SF and Caron at SG is ideal IMO, if that team had a legitimate PF in there, then they'd be a threat as far as I'm concerned. People sleeping on the Raptors

I heard we give up the rights to our MLE with the signing too....? If that is true then that sucks soooo bad. I wanna see the Hump-Dooling deal go down, I hate Ukic so much. I disagree, Evans and Pops will be 2 serviceable big men for us off the bench, hopefully the Hump-Dooling deal happens, if it does then it is looking up to me.... we still have our MLE don't forget, we can use a portion of that to sign Kleiza or some other SF/SG out on the market. And there is a team option on Obryant is there not? I doubt they pick that up if there is a team option.

This trade makes us a lot better, but if Bosh leaves we are stuck with this contract with Hedo basically as our best player.... anyways I think it was Doug Smith, or someone said in an article that if we make it out of the 2nd round our chances of getting Bosh back are very, very good. Don't quote me on this, I just remember coming across this on on the net one day. But our depth is non-existent, imagine if Hedo goes down?
