The game was over, LeBron was going to shower after anyways. He barely cares, so why do you? I wish Miami fans had a 1/4 of the passion that teams like the Celtics do. don't give me that shit about your team being new, the Raptors building (for example) was louder cheering for 41 and 47 win teams in the playoffs than I have ever seen the Heat. You may be a diehard fan, but don't let your entire fan base reflect on you. Just because your fans are shit doesn't mean you are, don't take it personal.

Durant is one dimensional. He is like what Melo could have been with a good head on his shoulders. No matter how incredibly good he is at that one dimension (even better than LeBron) he doesn't come close to LeBron in all the other areas, and likely never will. By LeBron's 5th year he was already the best player in the NBA, and Durant is still so far behind defensively, and intangibly. Not to mention, while Durant has a more impressive offensive arsenal, LeBron is still the more effective scorer (not better, effective). Aside from a few small things, Durant is still basically the same player he has been the past 2 seasons. Sure he is clutch as hell and I give him that, but the reason the Thunder are progressing has as much to do with the supporting cast, actually probably more so, as it does to do with him. His defense and playmaking are average at best. I know people might give me the old "you need to watch the games", but I watch plenty of him. I think his playmaking is better than some give him credit for, but he still turned it over more than ever this year (4 times a game), though I will admit he has been much improved these playoffs, which I give him credit for. Basically, if Durant goes 6-20 what is he doing for you team? The answer is that he is doing a hell of a lot less than LeBron if LeBron shoots 6-20.

Whose is better?

He needs a change of scenery big time. The fact he hasn't progressed whatsoever up to this point is horrible. He clearly has a shit attitude and playing on a team with a bunch of other punks like Cousins isn't going to help that. That organization is a mess, how the hell do you let a 20 year old rookie get a coach fired. Incredible.

In regards to Waiters: Sullinger measuring like that has gotta do a ton for his draft stock. I think there is a definite place for a guy like him in the league, even though I don't want the Raptors to take him. Drummond's measurements are incredible, honestly I think the Wizards should give him a good hard look at the 3 spot.

Also glad to see that the trade proposal forum got made. Remember posting about that a while back. I think that could be a really useful forum if people buy into it.

As per RealGM. http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/221457/Barnes_Meets_With_Bulls He would obviously be a fantastic fit there, but how the hell would they be able to acquire him? Deng+Taj Gibson? Even I feel like that isn't enough since I feel like Barnes will be top 5 in the end.

I just don't understand what the name change accomplishes? Obviously I don't know much about the forum business and how to be successful (I only post here and in the 1 sim league I am in) but I just don't see how a name change will change that much? Anyways, just glad this board is sticking around. I wish we had 10-15 more active members but honestly the ball talk here is top notch, just wish there was more of it. I still think that the lack of topics being created holds us back. I feel like the general NBA forum is so underutilized by members here. We can't rely on RD to make all the topics of discussion all the time. I've never been a fan of team forums, and wish they were just used to post news and realgm sort of shit, whereas the general nba forum we have arguments and whatnot. But hey, thats just me. But I will try to make more of an effort to generate discussion. I don't often make topics but given that the site is sticking around, I'll try to help with the new topics getting made.

I think they would be stupid to break it up. -
Have no problem with any of these things.

Bobcats shopping #2 pick
Check my Stats replied to AboveLegit's topic in Charlotte Hornets Team Forum
There are no stars really on the block right now by the sounds of things, so I don't know what exactly they are hoping to get for it. That Thomas contract was so horrible. He literally said earlier in his career he wouldn't do the dunk contest because it wasn't a big enough paycheck, that wasn't a big enough clue not to pay him big money? Some management teams man, it really makes you wonder. Only thing I could really think of is the Hornets with Eric Gordon, but who knows if Charlotte would take the chance on those knees and if NOH would even want to. Just keep the pick and take MKG or Beal and call it a day. MJ has to realize this is a process and they are going to be high in the lottery at least 2-3 more years before it starts moving up. They can afford to take a really sick complimentary player like MKG right now. -
Which is LeBron's best playoff game this year
Check my Stats replied to htownborn's topic in General NBA Discussion
29 of 30 points, in overtime, against the number 1 seed, with no supporting cast whatsoever, guarded by an elite defensive SF at the time, game winning shot (layup) in double ot... idk I just find it hard to put any other game above that for LeBron. In fact, behind Kobe's 81, it is probably my favourite game that I have witnessed. It was just awesome to watch that game live, because no matter what LeBron did, I just had this feeling in my heart it wasn't going to be enough, because he literally was playing 1 on 5. Kobe's 81, well it doesn't need to be talked about, lol. -
THIS is the LBJ we've (well at least I've) been waiting for. The arsenal, the mannerisms, the determined play, everything. He just refused to lose tonight. He may have had better performances in the past, but tonight just felt different to me, he just felt like a different player tonight. Maybe its just me, but LBJ felt so determined tonight and I've never gotten that vibe from him, ever really, at least not lately. Its almost like finally instead of waiting for the championship to be handed to him, he is going to go and TAKE it now. I know its just one game, but damn. Hopefully he has some more gas in the tank after tonight. I would love to watch THIS LeBron waltz his way to the finals and take a big old shit on Kevin Durant.

Obviously tonight. Context is so important. -
Scared that it is the Raptors. I don't know why any GM would give a promise. It is a lose-lose situation really. You handcuff yourself to either go back on your word, or to not take a player who may fall to you.
-
Dude seems like a drill sergeant. I don't think that kind of approach works with players today.
-
Spo is not the only problem with this team. Doesn't help the face (well, former face) of your franchise has an unbelievably shit attitude.
-
If Boston doens't win this game, they are going to be hard pressed to win another one in Miami in front of that hostile crowd (lol). But seriously, tonight is still almost a must win for them IMO. Its gonna be interesting to see how this game is called. People are gonna be bitching hard either way after this game. I should be able to catch the whole game so I hope I can form my own opinion.

Austin Rivers measured at 6-5? Surely that will help his stock won't it? It sounds like Lillard has killed every workout so far that he has been a part of too. Makes me think he might not be there at 8 if he keeps going at this rate. I wonder how the Celtics/Spurs intend on getting into the top 5.

So many free throw attempts...

It honestly ruins the game so much for me. Completely destroys the pace so often. -
I think it is going to depend on a few things. 1. Westbrook's ego. If this kid can stay in check and realize KD is the franchise, that'll go a long way. Also, if he resists Harden becoming their 2nd best player (he will be, if he already isn't) it could also hurt this team. 2. What they do with their cap. I don't buy that they will have to choose between RW and Harden. I think they can keep all 3, but it is going to come at the expense of their depth. Their GM is a stud though so if he can pluck solid rotation players late in the draft (ala the Spurs) they should be okay. He can't afford any more gaffes like the Perkins contract though, or they WILL lose one of their big 3. Not to mention Durant really does seem like a guy who would take a paycut 3 years down the line to keep this team competitive. Idk. I think they can keep all 4 (Ibaka) for at least a couple more years... they won't run into problems until the contracts have increased a few years down the road. 3. How the Heat wind up. They are still the only team I see as a threat to stop the Thunder from winning 4 titles in the next 7 years or something like that. Obviously a lot can change and the NBA is incredibly competitive these days, but in the immediate future, I don't see anyone else other than Miami on a year in year out basis. Also, it depends what you mean by dynasty. A dynasty like the Spurs? Of course, I think the Thunder would be somewhat disappointed with less than 4 titles in 10 years with this core (depending on who they can hold onto). If you mean something like 3 titles in 4 years, or 4 in 5, or even 3 in 5... I just don't know, The NBA is insane and with the attitude superstars have these days, who knows how long until a new 'super team' for lack of a better word is formed. I think if they can keep their main 3, they should be contending for the championship for the next decade.

Td and the Spurs all class even through these circumstances. Gotta love that franchise.
