So LeBron wins in a landslide as the best SF, but those same people wouldn't want to start a franchise with him? Explains why so many teams are so horribly run. Give me the 27 year old who shows absolutely no signs of slowing down anytime soon over the younger guy (only 4 years mind you) who is supposed to "get better", but is still the same player he was 2 years ago. Durant is so overrated it is insane, if anyone deserves to be in the class with LeBron in the "start a team with" debate, it is Rose, not Durant. Smh.

NBA GM Survey: Rookies and International

2 votes for Bargnani, how did Colangelo manage to submit 2 votes? -
It's not ideal, but it isn't like Kobe has been playing Tim Duncan type minutes the past years, he is only up 3-4 minutes a game. And nothing will keep Kobe off the floor, whether that is a good or bad thing, well that remains to be seen. Obviously you'd like to get his minutes down, but who takes them? Guys like Darius Morris and Ebanks are already averaging over 15 minutes a game when they do play, which is already a lot for guys like them. This team is in desperate need of a backup wing, problem is, they probably don't want to shell out the money (probably like 3-5M) for a legitimate wing, because they'll have to pay double on the lux tax, or whatever it is, so they will be stuck playing sub-par ones until someone becomes available willing to sign for cheap. I was pretty surprised they didn't try hard to get Pietrus (could be wrong, wasn't paying much attention at the time). So my thought is that this is mildly concerning, and that nothing will "tear down" Kobe Bryant... he'll play hurt even if it means he has to shoot 30% from the field.

O.J. Mayo’s Back On the Block
Check my Stats replied to Sħãlïq™'s topic in Memphis Grizzlies Team Forum
A crap team needs to pick this guy up and give him a shot... paging Kahn. In all seriousness, Mayo is suffering from Michael Beasley syndrome. Even though Beasley sucks balls, at least he got a shot so we could know for sure... I want Mayo to get a fair shot at having a significant role on a team before we give up on him entirely. I just don't know how a rookie can average 19 points a game on Kobe type percentages then wind up what he is now. I still think there is a place for an OJ Mayo on a lot of teams in this league. -
Just got this idea from the other thread, when Nitro said that they should deal off KG and Allen, probably for picks... and also on RealGM when I saw that teams are supposedly inquiring about Pierce (already). Pierce makes around 15M annually, KG makes 21M this year but is a free agent after, and Allen makes an extremely manageable 10M this year, and is a free agent after. What teams do you picture as interested in these guys, if they were somehow available? As a GM, realistically, what sorts of assets would you even be willing to part with for them?

I think that title belongs to Demar Derozan.. what an utter disappointment he has been.. some of the blame goes on Casey for poor utilization, forcing him to work heavily out of isolation situations as well as a spot up shooter, rather than freeing him up off the ball first. Still, Demar needs to be better, bottom line.

Sheridan: Dwight has added Clippers to wish list
Check my Stats replied to Dash's topic in Los Angeles Clippers Team Forum
Hilarious.. it's too late now you moron, at least if you want your cake and to eat it too, which all these players do.. these players don't know what they want, and it pisses me off. -
Shaq calls Bynum "Best big man in the league"
Check my Stats replied to GamerGuy's topic in General NBA Discussion
Shaq still hates Dwight, all because he got that Superman nickname. So dumb, Bynum isn't even in Dwight's league, not even close.. for all the limitations Dwight has, he still managed to put up 23 points a game last year, and about 20 every year (on usually between 10-14 shots, not really THAT much more than Bynum). Andrew might have a more versatile offensive arsenal, but it's like the old Kobe-LeBron debate... Kobe might have more in his arsenal, but LeBron is still more effective... same shit with Dwight and Bynum. This isn't even a debate.. you're arguing probable all-star with top 5 player. -
They're sitting 4-7 right now, and this schedule definitely isn't in their favour, we all know that. So I am wondering, does anyone actually picture this Celtics team missing the playoffs? If so, what do you suggest they do moving forward? Is the window on this team finally air shut?

Wizards Looking To Trade Andray Blatche
Check my Stats replied to Art's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
Next up: Nick Young. Wall and McGee are the only players I am holding onto if I am the Wizards. It is going to be a long season regardless, so might as well just clear up cap/roster space and try to add a late pick or two if you can, and hope you can add someone like Anthony Davis in the draft, or a guy on the wing who can light it up. A lot of people are throwing Wall under the bus, but I am in absolutely no rush to do the same. Kid can only do so much with an incompetent coach and a roster who thinks this is a pickup game. Kid does need to stop taking pull up J's though, that's for sure. I also still don't get why Vesely was such a highly touted prospect? Kid has role player written all over him, which is cool and all, but not that high in the draft.... -
Result of "The Decision": NBA Players Running the League
Check my Stats replied to Legacy's topic in General NBA Discussion
I have absolutely no problem with a player SIGNING with a team in free agency. Once you're a free agent, do what you want. Hell, even if you request a trade that's fine, but don't pick and choose who you will be traded to. What Dwight is doing is so wrong, forcing his way to the Lakers is so wrong. If the Lakers want Dwight, gut your roster like Miami did and sign him; LA has no business trading for Dwight Howard as far as I am concerned (though I have been open to not complaining against a Pau AND Bynum deal, even though I don't think it is ideal), Orlando should be looking for a deal like the Hornets got. The problem is that players are the draw for fans in this league, and they know it. The top 15 players run the league, and they know it. It's why Melo is a Knick, why CP3 is a Clipper, why LeBron is playing with his friends, etc. It shouldn't be that way, but unfortunately it just is. The best hope for "the rest of us" is to hope for some luck in the lottery. Basketball players are probably the worst athletes in all of professional sports, and that's why we have to keep discussing this shit. -
The Knicks and Deron Williams

You trade amare before you trade melo imo. -
Calgary is in early post-lockout Leafs mode right now... it just isn't gonna happen guys.. trade Iggy and start from scratch, its for the best.

Leafs have enough fringe first/second liners, and Schenn is one of our best remaining assets, so like BFT, I too would rather see him moved for an upgrade (with us adding other pieces). It is a pretty lateral move, and our forwards are actually already pretty good. I feel like Schenn is the kind of defenseman that you neglect when you have him, but once he is gone, you will wish you had him back, especially come playoff time. I am a huge fan of the kid, and I hope that the only situation we move him, is for a legit first line player (looking at Anaheim).

The fact LA won't give up both for Dwight is hilarious to me. Value-wise, they walk away huge winners... Pau is approaching value-less eaach passing year, and Bynum's value is pretty spotty as well with his injuries. Bottom line, if you can get a top 5 player, without giving up your best player, you do it. When you can put two top 5 players on the same team together, you do it. I am sure if LA was sending both Pau and Bynum, they could convince ORL to add some nice role players, especially when you consider the cap situation, they'd probably have to. And if Hedo is included, well I'll be damned if I say it, but the guy is almost productive this year, in fact, he might be better than ever (look at those percentages!). I think people confuse phrases like 'well managed' and "stingy"/"abusing locational leverage" when they describe these so called well managed franchises.

Orlando Magic Owners killed Dwight to Nets?

There you go Laker fans, deals do die at the last minute to teams besides yourselves. Same shit happened with MJ. -
Who would you rather have your team sign?
Check my Stats replied to Legacy's topic in General NBA Discussion
Marbury was actually almost a competent player when D'Antoni ran him out of town, so him. Francis was just so bad at the end. -
What teams should give Gilbert Arenas a shot?
Check my Stats replied to Real Deal's topic in General NBA Discussion
No one should have given him a chance ever. Arguably my least favourite player of all time, so bad. -
It would have been interesting if Ovie didn't make it honestly, just for his response, maybe that would motivate him. The guy is an absolute enigma now. Leafs with 3 all-stars, though Phaneuf is pretty borderline, Lupul and Kessel definitely deserved to be there. I can't remember the last time the Leafs had 3 all-stars, or even 2 for that matter.

When Kobe scores 40+ (throughout career)

The 81 point season was just retarded. -
Sounding more and more like a significant move is on the horizon for Toronto.

Sit him down for a few weeks Casey
