  1. I enjoy watching it when it is on but I don't think I would ever watch all the seasons. I also used to ignorantly hate on it, but it is actually pretty enjoyable, imo
  2. Leafs lock up Schenn for 5 years at around 3.5 million (I closed the link and don't wanna find it again lol). Glad he will be in blue and white for the next half decade. How must that feel making less than a scrub like Komisarek though.
  3. That Tavares deal is probably going to be a huge steal I think. Myers probably will be too, if he can regain form and continue to improve. Sounds like Schenn is going to be getting around the 3-4 range, which I am fine with as I am a huge fan of his. Just sucks we couldn't get him locked up long term, but as long as we keep him out of RFA with this contract that is fine by me. With likely no NBA season, and the minor moves the Leafs have made along with their late push last year, I am more excited for this year than I have been in a while. If Reimer is a legit, solid number 1, not anything spectacular but solid, and Connolly can play 65 games or more, and the Kule-Grab-Clarke line continues to be effective, I think we have a legit shot at a low seed playoff berth this year, and as we've seen, once the playoffs start, anything can happen. Also, here's hoping Nazem has a good TC, get this kid on the God damn roster already, smh. I swear to God if Frattin or someone nabs that 9th forward spot over Nazem I am gonna be pissed. He has nothing left to gain in the AHL (already) and has shown he can contribute at the NHL level, as a winger. We can't hold him down any longer. But yeah, I think it is safe to say our season lives and dies between the pipes.
  4. If you watched Phaneuf you would know he more than makes up for it with how many times he is caught out of place and getting burned up the sideboards.
  5. My thing is that the Matt Cooke's of the world need to know that they are going to get more than a slap on the wrist if they take out a star player, or any player for that matter, with a stupid or cheap hit. The vicious head checks and blind side hits are a much bigger concern to me than the fighting (even though this is an entirely different issue where tons of blame must be placed on the victims as well in most cases), which is a non issue to me; but I can see how it is an issue to others. If we are going to eliminate any sort of fighting, it should be fights in the last period, or when games are out of reach. Senseless fighting? Sure, try and remove it, but there is definitely a place in the game for fighting. There always has been and there always will be. If you take enforcers out of the game, it just means players are going to have to take a page out of Iginla's playbook and fight for themselves, and at that point, we are hurting the game a lot more than we are helping it. Honestly lets compare concussion/long term injury problem stats of fights compared to guys who get smashed by guys jumping off their skates to throw hits (I am looking at you Ovechkin).
  6. Enforcers will always exist in the NHL, and they need to. You have to know there will (or should) be repercussions for and opponent taking a cheap shot or a run at your star player, or even laying them out (how did no one clown that Washington player?), even if it is clean . If someone lays out my team's best player, I want to do something that will make them think twice before they do it again, and if that something I have to do is fight them, then so be it. The only way they take fighting out is if they give out huge suspensions, and even then there will always be one guy on the bench willing to take that suspension to stick up for the franchise player. /thread imo.
  7. Kobe's 81 is the most memorable Raptor moment I have witnessed. I have never watched an opposing player and rooted for him like I did with Kobe that night.
  8. I love Em, but Jay's catalog is unmatchable.
  9. He is the equivalent of a guy like Perkins just at the point guard spot. Really useful player, but he is really one dimensional... if he can expand his offensive game, then we might be talking... it's actually scary how good he could be if he had a more versatile offensive arsenal.
  10. Kevin Nash can hardly walk to the ring never mind wrestle inside of it. Get Punk in the Cena-ADR match, triple threat... Cena-ADR isn't what the fans want to see right now, but with this stupid Mexico tour going on, ADR will be shoved down our throats for the foreseeable future.
  11. What a shitty horrible ending. WWE has officially done everything to get the crowd to care about Alberto Del Rio, and they still don't. This guy is a talentless pieces of garbage and has just ruined the best feud/string of main event matches in the past while. Awesome PPV but I really feel like they [expletive]ed up with Del Rio cashing in. I just don't see where they go from here, the Punk-Cena feud was red hot but it has to be over now. Just really disappointed that the Cena-Punk angle is seemingly over already, shit was awesome for the past 2 months or so. Lots of questions to be answered tomorrow night I guess that is something we can all take out of this. Also anyone know where JR was?
  12. Undisputed WWE Championship: Special Referee- Triple H: CM Punk © Vs. John Cena © -- Got a feeling something is gonna go down tonight World Heavyweight Championship: No Holds Barred: Christian © Vs. Randy Orton Sheamus Vs. Mark Henry Daniel Bryan Vs. Wade Barrett Divas Championship: Kelly Kelly © Vs. Beth Phoenix Will a MITB be cashed in this PPV? Hopefully not but I have a feeling ADR might cash in on Punk if he does win, he won't cash in on Cena though, Cena doesn't tap Will Triple H screw someone over in championship match? He will get involved in some way, not sure it will be him screwing someone over though Will any of the 5 matches end in a DQ? No Will there be a match added on to the card during the PPV? Dolph vs Riley probably
  13. I was meh on this pick initially, but it is looking more and more like he got a sick player here. Call me biased but I honestly feel like I wouldn't deal Jonas for any other player in this past draft not named Kyrie Irving. Hopefully he can continue to get better, and this year's draft turns out as good as it is supposed to be, and there is no season and we get some sort of cool lottery that ends up with us picking in the top 5 again... I am worried that if we play BC might make a stupid move and take us out of the top 5, a lockout definitely prevents that But yeah, Jonas is definitely making the future a lot more encouraging, just gotta find a new home for Bargnani. Myck and Jonas on the PnR anyone?
  14. It sucks to hear this but with how far apart they are (worse than the NHL was by the sounds of things) it is definitely possible. But at the same time, it is way, way too early to even be thinking of the entire season being locked out in my opinion. But as long as the players are determined not to have a hard cap, yeah there won't be basketball. I'd be the season is cancelled, and honestly I am okay with that since the Raps are going to benefit from this (JV gets another year under his belt since he wasn't coming over) and we were going nowhere fast, and even with a lockout surely we will be picking high again next draft. Hopefully an agreement can be reached that allows all 30 teams to have at least the opportunity to compete, that's all we can really ask for.

  16. Jonas without a doubt here. No explanation needed.
  17. I always thought he kind of under performed all things considered (size, skill, hands, shooting, etc).
  18. He stepped up big time on RAW last night. That 8 man tourney was weak, but he stepped up and showed why he is a star now.
