  1. anyone still play this? I don't play online, but I Play mostly the career thing as a QB, my roommate and I do it and compare its pretty fun... but anyways, my question... Do you know how to improve the CPU For the parts when you are simming during a game? I have the sliders almost perfect for the CPU defense now where its a challenge but at the same time not stupid hard (I am in that in between all-pro and all-madden stage... not very good lol but I have fun!)... so yeah, the CPU I Physically play against is fine, but when I sim, the CPU offense has the ball for like 2 minutes at most it seems like, and my defense is ranked number 1 in the league, which it has no business being as I am the raiders. Just wondering if anyone knows. I've fiddled with the CPU sliders (pass protection, qb accuracy, etc), but still it seems like it has almost no effect. Do I need to crank them through the roof?
  2. I told you he is decent! He is going to be a good role player, which isn't a great get from the 8 spot, but the things he does well in this league are assets - he has elite defensive potential IMO. Wish i could have watched, but managed to get the 2nd half on the radio. Is it too early to start talking championship?
  3. Why? Can you look at his tenure in dallas and say he didn't squeeze every possible bit out of that team? We're not talking miami type of talent in dallas either. If I am mad at anyone in Brooklyn right now, if I am a fan (Sort of am, since i said they would win 50... smh).. its that supposed superstar point guard of yours,,,, yo ECN where you at... Deron and Amare > CP3 and Bosh ya you're were ahead of the curve on that one.
  4. LA Sends Pau Minny Sends Derrick Williams AK47 Barea (LA's gotta take some salary in this deal) Saw this posted on twitter earlier, well the Williams and AK part, I forgot who else he mentioned... wasn't a rumour, just a proposal. I think A) this is the best possible value LA could ever hope to get for Pau, and B) a really good fit for both sides. Not sure it happens, because normally you don't sign a guy then deal him 4 months later.... oh wait, this is David Khan... this could DEFINITELY happen. I like this for both sides, the only side it is questionable for is minny. I think LA Might have to sweeten it but what do you guys think? If Pau goes anywhere, my bet is that it is minny.
  5. Avery is an above average coach. You could do worse.
  6. Sounds like the Jays might make a move for dickey too. Not huge into baseball but this seems like a really suspect move, especially if they move D'Arnaud, who my roommates insist is a stud/our best prospect.
  7. Meh, I'm on the fence with this sort of shit. On one hand I feel like 'no way...' but at the same time I'm not saying candyman 3 times with my back to the mirror either. Creepy as hell though. Glad we are having a huge blowout on the (unintentionally) 21st lol. at least the 21st is a friday so hopefully everyone will be in a good mood and with their families and/or friends.
  8. "After tonight, it's very clear that whatever problems the Raptors franchise have is completely unrelated to coaching." - Rick Carlisle Tell me that wasn't directed at our beloved 7 footer?
  9. Baseball is way ahead of the curve though. It was only a matter of time (hopefully) before they started catching up in hockey and basketball, especially basketball. I'm not a huge Hollinger fan, but hopefully this is a big step forward for management in the NBA, moving away from former players as almost a necessity in offices.
  10. I won't feel bad for an NBA player who doesn't give a [expletive] getting injured, ever. Quite frankly, if he never played a game again, I wouldn't feel bad. He doesn't deserve anything that he has. I wouldn't wish death on him (pretty close though.. lol), but he sucks ass, and doesn't give a shit, so why should I feel bad if he is hurt? We aren't talking about someone who puts in his work and works his nuts off to get better, we are talking about a 7 footer who thinks defense and rebounding is too 'simple' to focus on because scoring is more complex/important. We can only hope.
  11. Look at the rebounds. That there is the difference. http://raptorsrepublic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/andrea-bargnani-face.jpg
  12. The effort level is just night and day without that Italian [expletive].
  13. More people have died in the USA this year from guns than from car accidents. That is [expletive]ed up. EDIT: According to twitter, could be wrong obviously lol. Either way, [expletive]ed up.
  14. I mentioned it in the summer too. It probably won't happen, but its still interesting. Who says no to DeAndre+Bledsoe+2 firsts for Dwight if Dwight decides he wants to walk away this summer? I don't think he will, but that's a pretty nice haul for the Lakers instead of losing him for nothing to Dallas or Atlanta. It doesn't matter though since Dwight ain't going nowhere unless CP3 decides he wants to play in Atlanta or Dallas with Dwight, CP3 would be a retard to leave that Clippers team though even though their owner is the worst in sports.
  15. As long as Dwight gets back to 100% (Am I The only one thinking that may not happen? I know he was supposed to be out long but its been 20 games and i feel like he has made little to no progress) this team will be fine. I don't get the whole "Nash will turn things around" though. Already 8th in offensive efficiency with a hurt Dwight, but their defense is below league average - teams like dallas, golden state, WASHINGTON are all allowing less points per 100. LA already has an offense bordering on elite, and sure Nash might push them into elite status, he isn't going to address their other issues. I think you have to look at this team when they are fully healthy before you evaluate them. A healthy Dwight can carry poor defenders to a top 5 defense, and that is what LA seems to need right now. I question whether or not D'Antoni has the ability to hold this team accountable defensively, especially Dwight, the way that someone like SVG did in Orlando all those years. The main thing I guess Nash will help is the turnovers. but still, the fact that they are 29th in opponent turnover % is just as concerning.
  16. Giving away free possessions, under any circumstances, is never 'underrated'.
  17. Ed Davis with a better game than bargnani has had all season.
  18. Well, even though we are headed towards another big loss, the last people who will get the blame should be our frontcourt, which is something that we can rarely say about our front line. 32 points on 16 shots from them? Take that every night of the week.
  19. I go put on a load of laundry and the Raps are down 14 when i come back... [expletive].
  20. 9 points in 9 minutes? Naturally sub off the rookie for a guy who is a borderline NBA 12th man. Wow. Davis and Valanciunas have been poor statistically this year, but I am still so intrigued by that frontcourt. EDIT: Poor statistically when sharing the floor together.
  21. Wow, surprisingly enjoyable to watch so far.
