  1. It sucks players want to play for an organization like this just because of it's location. The fans deserve a good team, but the management definitely doesn't. Pathetic.
  2. First of all, Derozan got it on his first attempt which is a big part of the grade for me (he gets his first dunk first try last night and he probably gets close to a 50). Second, the pass for Derozan's was better/more difficult with Sonny moving which I think should credit the score. Third, Derozan took the windmill to the middle of the basket as opposed to Griffin who slammed it on the near side. If you are going to take someone else's dunk, it would be nice if you did it better than them. Sorry but that dunk Blake did was a dunk that any guy in the competition could do as long as the pass is on target, and for that, you get a solid 40 in my opinion. This competition was over before it started. At least everyone showed up, bring them all back next year.
  3. Call me a homer but I thought Derozan should have been in the finals, Griffin's dunk off the side of the backboard should have been like a 40. Sucks we didn't get to see the chicken wing dunk. EDIT: They should just bring all these guys back next year. They have everyone talking and they all seemed really into it.
  4. This is unbelievably stupid, and this is coming from a fan of a team that would benefit from this. The best way to build a team is to get a top 3 pick, not by accumulating mid first rounders like this would suggest; this would do nothing. Also just because teams struggle to get out of the lotto doesn't mean the playoff teams should lose the opportunity to replenish their youth with later picks. If they want to change anything about the draft, let high school kids enter and if they go to college, make them go for 2 years. Honestly, I would like it if playoff teams were in the lotto as well, or maybe the bottom 4 seeds in each conference. It almost feels like being a low seed is a punishment. You go to the playoffs and get owned in 5 games at most, then you don't even get a chance to move up in the draft. I mean we obviously don't want an LA or a Boston to wind up drafting John Wall, but it would be cool if a team like Charlotte, Indiana, Philly, etc, still had a chance to move up a few spots.
  5. I feel like Marvin hasn't gotten better since his 2nd NBA season.
  6. No one will want him... they are going to need to throw a pick with him just to get anyone to take him.
  7. Missed the game but how does Blair put up 21 shots lol. Looks like Cousins was gunning for MVP too lol, so many shots up. Looks like Derozan had a nice showing, nice to see.
  8. For me, 'superstars' dominate every facet of the game; offense, defense, everything runs through, begins and ends, with them. Players like Durant, Melo, they are too one dimensional for me to consider them superstars. Sure, they are dominant offensively, they control the game through their scoring, but that's where it ends. Durant goes 6/24 from the field and then what? What else does he bring to the table that helps his team win the game? Guys like LBJ, Kobe, these guys can get you 10+ assists, can go and grab you a ton of boards, they can actually defensively affect entire offenses as wings at times, which is pretty special. You don't run your entire team through a Kevin Durant or a Carmelo Anthony, at least not the same way you do a LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Tracy McGrady (didn't read the entire thread yet but it seems people don't think he was a superstar? lol....). Kobe Bryant, Dwight Howard, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade are the only guys I currently consider 'superstars'. Derrick Rose is extremely close right now too and Chris Paul 2 years ago was a superstar, I don't really know if I consider him one right now, he isn't scoring at the same rate he usually does, dude is just having a down year.
  9. well Gilbert wouldn't sell the team today (or ever probably, dude is loaded isn't he?), it just wouldn't make sense.
  10. I don't get why Burke didn't make these kinds of moves when he came in to begin with, before he sold his soul for Kessel.
  11. Wade is the most effective, with Kobe a close 2nd.
  12. We're definitely getting Boston-Chicago, Boston-Miami or Chicago-Miami in Round 2. Round 2!!!! Any one of those three matchups will be old-school, '80s-style, no-handshaking bloodbaths. I can't wait for the refs to get overprotective and screw it up. Very true, very exciting.
  13. What about a 38 year old Steve Nash putting up as good of numbers as he ever has? Besides Grant Hill most of those players are kind of irrelevant, Damp is only on the Heat because of injuries.
  14. Lol at 'dude was loving it'. I know you are embracing this whole us against the world mentality or whatever, but Bosh was not embracing getting boo'd. For crying out loud he ASKED the fans not to boo him before the game .
  15. Refs put their whistles in their pockets as usual.
  16. honestly the best way I could have imagined Rock coming out would have been completely unannounced in the middle of a CM Punk or Miz promo (save the crowd) with JR calling it (BY GAWD THE ROCK IS BACK THE ROCK IS BACK). The way they did it was good too, I think knowing that there was a guest host coming helped the pop Rock got. I don't mind Michael Cole, but special moments just aren't the same anymore without Ross calling it, he really managed to make the moments feel real.
  17. Calderon is a worse defender than Nash, at least Nash will pick up the occasional charge here and there.
