  1. Recalling this season makes me sick. It is actually kind of funny, me and my roommate were just talking today about how VC went from Hedo Turkoglu to Kobe Bryant numbers from one team to another.
  2. I think you can make a case for him, but he is still not that great defensively, and turns it over more than you'd like, at least relative to his assists. He might be the MVP of the NBA right now, but I think Deron Williams has been the best point in the NBA this year, I have no idea what is going on with Chris Paul though, he needs some teammates though that's for sure. Rose still has more holes in his game than Paul and Deron in my opinion. He could easily be the best point guard in the NBA within 2-3 years, especially by the sounds of his work ethic and competitiveness. Hell, he might get in that LBJ, Wade, etc, group before too long, his production continues to rise exponentially.
  3. Preach. Though I always wonder what happened to the Luol who was rumoured to be getting dealt for Kobe - 20 years old averaging 19 PPG on 52%, he looked like he was going to be an absolute stud. Even today he is an awesome 3rd apple type of player offensively. 18 PPG on 46% is still really nice, why is he shooting so many 3's this year?
  4. He is a glorified Chris Bosh in terms of his impact. I have been saying this for years. This why I don't get why the Nets are in such a rush to sell their souls for him.
  5. Over the captain thing? I seriously doubt that.
  6. I think he has done a really good job setting the direction and acquiring mediocre prospects/pieces like Wright and Bayless that could help us long term, especially if that Jose deal goes through too. Anyways, to basically discount what he said at the end of the article about the Raptors pushing for a playoffs spot: @RaptorsDevlin Matt Devlin on Twitter wrote: Its that time of year where NBA teams are out scouting college games. Bryan Colangelo attended Kansas vs. Baylor game yesterday.
  7. Rondo always pads his own assist numbers. I didn't know the scorekeepers were helping him too.
  8. I think BC has done a terrific job post-Bosh. I think the biggest problem all came from management wanting us to be a playoff team too fast (after winning the lotto), just like the Leafs with Burke (though not to the same extent as dealing two amazing picks for a 1 dimensional player lol) he resorted to an abundance of band-aid fixes (Hedo, JO, Marion, dealing picks). We clearly overachieved his first year winning 47 games, and the expectations were always too high the coming years. BC put together talented teams though, at least relative to past Raptors teams lol, but it just didn't work out. We should have easily been a playoff team last year so 3/4 years in the playoffs would have been as good as anyone who has managed the team probably. Thank god he fixed the Hedo situation though, that would have been the worst situation in franchise history owing that piece of garbage 40M over 4 years while he sat and looked pudgy on the bench.
  9. Demar gets a lot of shots up and we lose, pretty good game in my books. That was some of the worst officiating I've seen all year though, Amir was definitely fouled on that play towards the end. At least they fixed the Demar call lol.
  10. This isn't really complaining, but the Raps are getting absolutely molested by the refs right now, I'd be so pissed if I wanted us to win. This is so sloppy by both teams, heads up play by Ed Davis there though, I love this kid.
  11. Looks like I tuned in for a photo finish. EDIT: Nice to see Demar go 18 shots up, about time.
  12. Class from 4-5 -_- should be able to catch the end of the game at least.
  13. Hawks would be a perfect fit next to Joe Johnson, Portland could use him too.
  14. Barrett will run down and look like he is going to attack Punk, then hit Cena with a chair. SWERVE. Nexus will become one again.
  15. I feel like they will be somewhere around .500. Damn, that is a really rough schedule, there is only one real gimme on there, Sacramento.
  16. Heat-LA or Boston-LA Least would probably be Pistons and Cavs.
  17. This kind of mindset is pretty pathetic to be honest. This team still has two players who are TOP 20 players, and Wade top 3 for sure. The Heat should still be the favourites to win, even with LBJ out, unless they are playing Boston, LA, etc. They should be able to make the appropriate adjustments.
  18. Considering the Clipper's attendance is already close to 90% capacity on average, they would have had no problem filling up the arena with Clipper fans with LBJ wearing their jersey. I just don't think LBJ wanted to wait for the likes of Gordon and Griffin, despite them being way better than we might have expected, that doesn't mean they know how to win yet. New York and Chicago are the two places that LBJ should have gone, both in terms of fit and preserving his legacy. I don't think it matters where he goes though, either way he was going to get backlash because of both the decision, as well as all the teams he basically [expletive] teased.
  19. While I don't think Dragic is really a long term solution as a starting point for the Phoenix Suns (his numbers are barely even mediocre this year), it makes too much sense for both Steve Nash, as well as the Suns organization, to part ways. If I am the Suns I am not really looking for pieces in return as much as I am for teams to take on the likes of Childress, Dudley, Frye, Warrick, etc. The Suns are right in that dreaded treadmill area, they aren't good enough to make the playoffs, but aren't bad enough to grab a really good prospect. Trading Steve Nash would establish a direction for this team and get them out of the worst position a franchise can be in, right in the late lotto. A team like Atlanta could desperately use Steve Nash. If they put him on the block I am sure a ton of teams would come knocking for him.
