  1. Again, the Heat are playing very efficient on offense, hitting 58% in the first half, though they haven't had more than 9 assists compared to the 29 total (I think) in their last game in SAC. Beasley is only 3-8 in his shots, but he has been terrific defensively in his rotations, and is on his way to a career high in rebounds with 9 to start the game. O'Neal is playing efficient on offense again, though he needs to grab more boards. He's too used to being the skill guy, I want to see him do more dirty work. Wright's been having things go his way on offense with 10 points, including that bounce pass to Jermaine than went off Casspi's shoulder and into the basket. Wade has been Wade so far, and then some. 8/10 to start the game, plus 3/3 from the FT line. 19 points and 6 assists, and the second half hasn't even started. Amazing offensive production. I liked the line up for the last 5 minutes of the half. Wade - Wright - Richardson - Beasley - O'Neal. Spoe is probably doing it for match up purposes, though I think that line up seems to be the most productive for the Heat this year. I'm starting to think it should be the starting line up with Alston coming off the bench at point, and Jones to be a filler at the 3.
  2. I figured. That's normal, I think it just means that you aren't completely relaxed.
  3. How badly does it shake, exactly?
  4. The Heat had one of their most efficient offensive games in their last match up against the Kings. Last time, though, Joel Anthony was starting at center. Let's see the difference with having O'Neal in the paint.
  5. You should listen to all opinions with an open mind.
  6. I didn't get a chance to watch the game.. But it looks like no changes were made. Well, looking at the stats, it looks like JO woke up today, Beasley did alright for his standards, Wade played efficiently as a top 3 player in this league, Wright outplayed Q-Rich... as usual, and Chalmers flat out sucked... as usual. Good to see the Heat out-rebound their opponent. We need to see these types of performances more often... no, not often, ALL THE TIME.
  7. I think Spoe talked about changes in the line up. It's about time Spoe gives the same treatment to the rest of the team as he does with Chalmers. Wright better start over Q, and something needs to be done about JO. Either start Magloire or Haslem (even though I don't like him playing C), or just decrease JO's minutes significantly if he doesn't hustle and grab some [expletive]ing boards for crying out loud. Another option would be to start Wade at the point, and move Wright to the 2, or vise versa, and leave Quentin in the starting line up. Ball movement always looks good when Wade, Quentin, and Wright are in at the same time. Alston can be a back up at the 1, and Jones is a solid wing player. Let's see what Spoe does. This will be a real testament of his coaching abilities.
  8. I actually agree with him. A player should have to play a certain percentage of games. That would be a great solution to replace guys like AI and KG for truly deserving all stars.
  9. I've said for a long time that Charlotte would give trouble to anyone they would face in the playoffs, home court or not.
  10. Good find on the sight. I like the write up of Beasley and the Heat. I don't see the problem with Beasley and Wade together either, and quite frankly, the numbers prove that the team works best when they are on the court together, anyway. The Beasley only stat is a bit unfair, though... when he's normally playing SF during those minutes, a position he's still learning on both ends, and is forced to play with Chalmers running the point, plus not only is Wade on the bench but so is JO at the same time. It's a completely different line up altogether. Beasley has actually improved this year, although the numbers haven't shown it yet. He's buying into the Heat system defensively and has been looking to draw charges, and has been successful a couple times already this season (when it took nearly 60 games to draw his first charge last season). He's shown much more effort overall on that end, and it's slowly paying off. Also, his scoring is beginning to become more into the flow of the offense, and he seems to be growing more efficient in scoring at all areas and all situations on the court. Despite what the stats may show, I'm excited on how much he will grow in the future.
  11. Wade didn't start taking over until he was 22. Give Beasley a couple more years to prove an expectation that high when comparing to Wade. I think Beasley will become a playmaker as well. When defenses start paying more attention to him, that will open things up for his teammates, and his assist average should increase. I doubt he will be averaging anything more than 3 or so assists, but you can't expect guards and forwards to have the same weighted abilities. Beasley will be the better rebounder, Wade will be the better passing man.
  12. Stealing a thread idea from that other Florida team that we shall not speak of. Anyway. I know this sounds like an easy pick, but consider this: Beasley was only 19 years old when drafted, Dwyane was 21 when drafted. IIRC, Wade has expressed that Beasley is better than him when he was Beasley's age. So, considering the age and the availability in each draft, who do you think will have turned out as a better pick when it's all said and done? Rookie year numbers: Dwyane Wade (21 years old) - 16.2 ppg, 4.5 apg, 4.1rpg, 35mpg Michael Beasley (19 years old) - 13.9 ppg, 1.0 apg, 5.5 rpg, 25mpg Per 36 minutes - 20.1 ppg, 1.5 apg, 7.9 rpg
  13. Shaq was selfish in many ways, and unloyal, and all he cares about is moving from team to team that has the best chance of winning a championship to make his individual career look better.... and he was the better pick.
  14. He opened his mouth and said he didn't like something, which is obviously an extremely wrong thing to do, especially when "ref" is included in the sentence. NBA Player + (Opinion^Ref) = $35,000
  15. There actually is a bit of a comparison. Their both overpaid with long contracts their team would rather get rid of, except no team wants them. Maggette is selfish and reckless and commits too many TOs, yet Brand is has become much less useful since his injury and his team has resorted him to coming off the bench. I'll take Maggette if I owned a team, because his recent play may sucker a team into a trade, whereas I'd be hopeless with Brand's contract. For which player I'd rather have regardless of contract, I might take Brand.
  16. I really don't see how this is Spoe's fault. Cause Beasley played 5 minutes less than Wade? I don't get it.
  17. I don't care how far the Heat are down, for some reason, I always still want to watch the games from start to finish.
  18. I wish I could at least be able to give a reason as to why the Heat played so poorly, but seeing as I can only see the boxscores... well, it looks like it was just one of those nights where the Heat simply had no intensity getting out the [expletive] rebounded and getting absolutely in the paint letting Charlotte have 42 in there. Looking at the individual players, Wright was the only one to show up and realize the importance of this game... and go figure. The team gets only 34 boards, Wright stands with the most with 7. The team scores 65, Wright has the most points and the highest FG% with 16 shooting 6-11. The Heat have 4 total blocks, Wright has 2. I think it's time this dude finally gets to start. Also, JO has been acting like a real [expletive] lately. I swear, the dude doesn't rebound and will show no intensity unless he gets his precious touches. Seriously, he needs to be replaced. Like now, I actually wouldn't mind seeing Magloire start over his soft [expletive]. He's had a good 12 rebounds in the last 25 minutes of playing time. Maybe benching JO will wake him up, or maybe not. Either way, at least Big Cat plays physical and plays hard 100% of the time, unlike soft [expletive] JO who will only grab rebounds if he scores. Looking at his game log, the guy really never grabs more than 8 rebounds unless he gets like 15 or more points. It's ridiculous. Anyway, I'm not so disappointed as to where the Heat stand in the conference as much as how they got humiliated in such an important game. If there was a game to be mentally and physically prepared, it was this one... yet they get blown out. Unbelievable.
  19. Well, this sucks. I just got home expecting the game to have been recorded, but apparently something [expletive]ed up. I've had a frustrating day, so this really ticked me off to find the game had not recorded at all, and all i see is the last 10 seconds.... to find out the Heat got [expletive]ing torched. What a way to end my day.
  20. They don't all have to be from this year, like the topic says. If you haven't been a fan of your team for that long, you can just post one or two... or none.
  21. Big game tonight I might not be able to watch it live, though. <_<
  22. What are the top 5 players who play on your favorite team that you just hated the most? It can be this year or all-time, doesn't matter. Mine are: Mark Blount Ricky Davis Wayne Simien Smush Parker Earl Barron
