Kobe > Wade, therefore I'm a Wade "hater".
-
You can't lose to one player. Basketball is 5 v 5.
-
Again, their record picked up since CP3 returned. Yes, the Rockets are better than them, but not by enough for these games to be guaranteed wins. With the Bobcats and Heat, whether one player "went off" or not, the team still beat the Rockets. Either way, though, the Rockets aren't better than the Heat, and the Bobcats have proven to be able to hang with and beat any team in the league, as I've said so many times. Anyway, losing to these 5 teams still aren't an indicator of being "figured out". Three of these teams are better than the Rockets, and the other two were no guaranteed win. Wait at least 5 more games to draw conclusions.
-
umm... how? - Hornets are only 2 losses beneath the Rockets, and their record has picked up since the return of CP3. - Bobcats are one of the best home teams in the league with a 15-4 record at home. - The Heat have the same record as the Hornets, but really, they are a better team than their record shows. If you saw the Rockets and Heat game, that's a game where the Heat play motivated, and they win 4 out of 5 times when they play like that.

Those losses were all from good teams. Let's see how they do after their next five games or so.

Spurs Are Saving Duncan for the Playoffs
Poe replied to NJNJ's topic in San Antonio Spurs Team Forum
Duncan preserves himself while Kobe fights through a [expletive]ed up hand plus back spasms. Let's see which works out better come playoff time. -
DeRozan, Gordon to compete in All-Star Slam Dunk-In

If Gordan didn't want to enter then... why was he selected? -
Neither.

They actually fixed that a while ago in the patch on XBL. Still, game should have been completed by release date. And, yea, substitutions are still a mess. Again about the defense, I just played 2K and got 55 points with my 70 rated SG in 7 minute quarters (cause my player plays the whole freaking time I have to make the quarters short) and 23-30 shooting, getting open looks from everywhere with no adjustments from the defense (most probably due to difficulty setting). I don't call for the ball at all, either. I made it so that the PG runs plays automatically, so I have to be in specific places on the floor. I play the game realistically, or at least I try to. After a couple open shots, Deron just kept feeding me the ball. The defense didn't adjust, so I just kept attacking and attacking. This is basically on a gamely basis. I normally tone down my shooting to try to make my averages realistic, even though I average 60% shooting. It's way too damn easy. Simply put, you should at least be an 90 rated player to be able to put up 50 points in such good shooting numbers, and even then it should be at least a minor challenge. Now, I understand that this game isn't as easy when your first starting out or whatever, so that's why the difficulty should be at least adjustable.

^ Lmao

Defense is the biggest thing for me too, though it did improve a bit with the first patch. Biggest thing for offline play for me is the My Player mode. It's automatically on freaking All Star difficulty and I don't have the option to change it. By the time you have a 60 rating, you can already go for 50 points on like 80% shooting without even trying. Bigs don't hedge on screens, lanes are too [expletive]ing wide open, and man defense is almost completely non-existent. It would feel a heck of a lot more realistic and challenging if I could change the damn difficulty.

I'm getting a little more active at the realgm forums. Here's what I wrote in their gameday thread. My reflection: - This game outlines how Wade has been playing all month. Simply outstanding basketball. He left very little room for criticism tonight. - Beasley did a very, very poor job defensively. Whoever he was guarding basically became Houston's go-to guy. When he guarded Scola, he was lost in his post play. He switched to Hayes, who doesn't exactly have a wide variety of moves, drove to the basket on him and scored with ease. He switched to the wing position with Budinger as his assignment, who torched him from everywhere on the court. It's games like these that gets him pulled from the game. His rebounding was subpar and apart from a couple highlight plays, he struggled with his offensive game overall. Houston did a very good job defending him. Hopefully he'll build consistency with his play over time. - J.O. was impressive once again. Battling the boards with 13 rebounds, and made a good percentage of his shots. Very good interior defense as well. This is the JO we need to see more often. - Dorell did some good things on the defensive end, using his length to grab steals and bother shots. Offensively, he did little with the ball in his hands today. Hopefully over time, with his confidence growing, he'll start to get more aggressive. - All other players played exceptional. Joel Anthony did an outstanding job defensively, and Haslem did his usual job on the boards, hustling, and knocking down shots. Chalmers, Alston, and Richardson combined for 13-21 shooting, 5-11 from 3. Overall, great win. Hopefully the Heat will continue their aggressive team play against OKC tomorrow.

I hear you. It freaking sucks. It would have been such a good game.. if it was actually a finished product on release date, or at least four months later.
-
I can't understand a word he is saying.

The guy couldn't even mention Vince Carter, or Kobe Bryant, or... [expletive] it, if Steve Nash is in there, you might as well name the whole league.

As a Heat fan, I'm not concerned with Wade. His shooting percentage has increased each month, and this month it's been nearly 50%. He's back to being that scoring machine he was last year. He's going to be very hard to contain. Again, even if Wade scores below 30, that's not what I'm concerned with. Role players need to step up. Beasley needs to keep drawing double teams and adjust his game as the defenses adjust to his scoring. O'Neal needs to find his points without isolating too much. Wright needs to be involved as a playmaker off the bench, and Richardson, Alston, and Haslem need to knock down their open looks.

In my opinion, for a sig, or any piece of work in general, when judging how good something looks, it shouldn't matter what the creator did to do it or how much time it took to make it. Judge the outcome not the process, and sometimes simpler is better, anyway.

Fascinating.

I haven't read the whole thing yet, cause I'm just not in the.. uhh... reading mood atm. From what I can tell, though, it looks like you did an amazing job. Well done. I will comment on the bit on the Heat's selection on Wright, though. If I was to rate the 2004 draft for the Heat last summer, I'd say a C- is about an appropriate rating, but I still believe it has the potential to be an A rated pick when it's all said and done. Dorell was benched in the beginning behind Posey and Walker when the Heat were pursuing their championship, and when he later had the opportunity to play, injuries held him back, but he did manage to prove his potential within that time. He had a very nice 5 game stretch of 16 points and 8 rebounds per game as the starting small forward, then fell to an unfortunate injury that forced him to sit out the last year and a half before the start of this season. Throughout this year, Heat fans are seeing his game rise in front of their eyes. He continually shows flashes of greatness, like when he had 4 straight steals against the Suns team in a single quarter, and recently has arguably been outplaying starting small forward Quentin Richardson. I don't think it will be too long before Dorell earns the starting spot. As long as Dorell stays healthy, takes advantage of this opportunity to rise to his full potential, and the Heat do manage to keep Dorell this summer, I think the pick will turn out to easily be an A. He was a high potential yet not NBA ready player at the time of the draft, which was perfect so that the Heat could develop him on the side of their championship run, and use him later. Now is Dorell's chance to prove himself as a reliable point forward off the bench for this team and may become a key part of this team's possibly bright future.

What do I hate about my team? hmmmm.. Maybe the fact that: - Chalmers has been babied minutes for nearly 2 years and still hasn't grown out of his diapers. - Jermaine has a body made out of glass. Seriously. What's a minor bruise for most players is at least a week long injury for him. - Daequan Cook is a human launching pad with its launch frequency set too high and it’s accuracy set really low. - Joel Anthony needs to replace his hands with suction cups. I don't care if the ball gets stuck to his hands and the Heat have to call time out every time he has the ball, as long as it can actually stay in his hands.. - That Beasley is on sale with his buckets in the first half, but can’t even buy one after halftime. - That the forwards have better handles than the point guards. - That James Jones hasn’t been traded yet. - That 2010 free agency isn't coming any faster.
