  1. I think it's about time Beasley scored 40. Better not let me down, Beas
  2. Good answers, man. Well, I came in your question thread and left a few questions... I guess I completely forgot to update Anyway, looking at one of your answers about writing as a profession.. since you enjoy writing so much, you probably should at least consider attempting a profession with it. If you're going to do something to make a living, might as well do what you enjoy. And thanks a lot for the recommendation, man. I really appreciate it. I never actually considered being a writer on this forum myself, though.. I suppose I could, especially with my bad(?) habit of making extra long posts at times. At least my posts are worthy of actually being considered one of the better writers here. Thanks a lot. PS: ...you're only 5 days older than me?
  3. lol, I would figure as much. Good answer
  4. Same. I don't exactly have that big of a problem with it, either. It would still make a nice improvement, though, to have more balanced activity in mostly all of the forums, like if we can get this placing rolling with 30+ members on each fanbase while maintaining good discussion. That would be sick.
  5. Sure thing. I'll be happy to, if only I knew where to go find them. The Heat.com forums is the only place I know of, but they don't exactly have the right breed of members I would want to bring over here. Maybe I'll try and use google to find a good place, idk. Also, if there was some sort of official otr sig of some sort that I could use, that would be great.
  6. The problem isn't that there are just so many Lakers fans, but the lack of fans for all of the other teams. We're all hopeful of having new members join and add more activity for our own team. When a new member joins, we kind of get this "aww...man" feeling when it isn't the same as yours, especially when it's a new member for a fanbase that isn't exactly in need of any more members comparing to the rest of the team forums. Nobody has anything against Lakers fans. It's just that this forum is so lopsided. It feels like there is 30 or more active Lakers fans, comparing to the 2 or less active fans in all the other team forums. Comparing to my Heat, Flash and I is it. There are a few others who stop by every now and then, but we'd love to see some more real activity for our own team, as well as everyone else.
  7. So first Kobe runs over Mo, then Artest falls down a flight of stairs... what's next?
  8. What's the difference between PC and console for 2K?
  9. Normally I sympathize over injuries, since they're normally unfortunate and not entirely the player's fault... but tripping over a christmas present in your own home and falling down a flight of stairs.... now that's just funny
  10. Gameplay >>>> Presentation. Live looks flashy, but 2K is the better game to play. I'm not trying to be biased at all and look to find excuses as to why 2K is better. Really, I WISH live was the better game. At least online gameplay works for them, and they didn't give buyers a broken game on release date.
  11. Wade hasn't spoken of a clear destination. I think he's just leaving his options open for this summer.. because he can. Where he'll go is just opinion at this point. Though, I think he has every reason to stay with the Heat. He has a great situation for him in Miami. The only reason he should leave Miami is to join another superstar. Some say he'll go to Chicago to join Derick Rose, but I honestly can't see that happening. Wade already has Beasley in Miami, plus the cap room to bring another all star over. Some say he'll join LeBron or Bosh in New Jersey or New York. I can't see that happening, either. Why join a superstar in rebuilding teams when they can just join Wade in an already established playoff team in Miami? So anyway, yes, Wade does have some nice role players here in Miami, plus some young guns that are establishing a part in this team's future plans. This team continues to get better and better each year. Personally, I think an all star caliber wing player is all that's needed to fully complete this team and become real contenders.
  12. Live has better overall ball handling control, but 2K is much better in everything else. If 2K had better online servers, there would be no question which one is the better game.
  13. When we get Chris Quinn back, we'll be a force to be reckoned with.
  14. So how did one poor night turn the Lakers from being the best team in the league to being worried about the Nets and Wolves?
  15. How can you not vote for him after that?
  16. Really? Do you have XBL, cause they already put a patch up to fix the alleys. Also, I explained about 20 times in this thread already, but making it out of the D-League is all simply about outdoing your matchup.
  17. Yea, I think I'd say so. Not if you are expecting anything completely different in association, and especially not for the online play (seriously, 2K online servers are total horse [expletive]), but the overall gameplay improvements, plus the addition of My Player is probably enough. I wouldn't call it any sort of must-have, either, and it wouldn't actually hurt to wait a bit. When the game was first released, it was very buggy, like the creators didn't even test the game. There's been a patch since then, which has improved some things, yet there is still a much needed second patch awaiting (especially to fix the most featured mode in the game - my player). I don't know when that one is coming out. Edit: So obviously not everyone liked the way it turned out. RD said it was one of the best sports games he's played, and I say it's a good game that could have been great. You'll have to figure out if it's really worth it yourself, I guess.
  18. I'd say if the Cavs and the Lakers played each other out of 5 games, the Cavs would win 1. This was that one time. Tough loss, but I'd still expect the Lakers to win a multiple game series if they ever meet in the Finals.
  19. That's because you have to outdo your matchup. Pause the game next time you play, and go to performance. You have to win the position battle. I made an SG recently, won the position battle in every summer league and training camp game, and I never had to play a single D league game.
  20. The game didn't turn out as great as I expected it to be, though it's still good for what it is. There are a lot of minor things they should have fixed, but it's still easily the best basketball video game ever made so far. 8/10 for me, though it could have actually been closer to 10/10 if they had fixed all of the minor issues. 1. Association mode isn't drastically different from 2k9, actually, but there are some additions and adjustments. You can play D league games now. Stats are more realistic. Player ratings range from 25-99 now instead of 50-99 in 2k9, plus a lot more depth all of the player's individual attributes. Other than that, not too much differences. There is a live practice thing where you can practice plays, post moves, and whatnot. That's honestly about it. There's more to the mode than that, but those are the only actual differences in 2k10 from 2k9 association. 2. I won't be able to name every single positive and negative off the top of my head, but I'll give you a few at least. - New fatigue bar keeps your fingers from being glued to the right trigger. - Players are pretty much customized individually. Kobe will play like Kobe. - Small things, like players will fumble passes at appropriate times. - Artificial intelligence is very, very solid. Move around the court, and watch as the players move and respond around you. - Defensive rotations can be iffy depending on the team you use, but the defensive AI is also solid overall. - Opponents will regularly run plays and isolations, and of course you can do them yourself, or set it to where the plays are called for you. - There is a better sense of physical presence. It's not perfected, but it's at least there. - There are some negatives with some of the gameplay, but I suppose they can be opinionated. IMO, I think the game makers need to drop on-ball steal animations completely, or at least make it a deal of timing rather than a deal of percentages based on player ratings. Also, lead passes to the basket are too difficult to defend, stealing and deflecting passes need work. Those are two issues off the top of my head. 3. It's a fun mode that really separates this game from live. Some people say it's repetitive, but it hasn't been that way for me, although it isn't perfect. I'm not going to explain it so much as to just give you a couple pointers. Play realistically and you'll get a good grade (grading system is actually done well overall, though it's too easy, IMO). Your grade doesn't determine whether you'll make or break a cut, by the way, I think a lot of people make this mistake. You have to outplay your specific matchup. This will save you from playing too many D-League games, or any at all. Playing in the d-league too much is normally where most people complain of repetitiveness. There are two negative factors that still haven't been fixed in an online patch, and they are pretty big. One is that even though you can adjust the quarter time, you can't change the difficulty. I believe it's default set to "all star" (which is like medium), and it makes the game too easy for low rated players to score 20 or get a triple double. Also, substitutions are very iffy, especially late in games. The "insider" can get glitchy, also. Just a warning. Overall, despite these few setbacks, it will probably be the mode you will enjoy the most. Don't try to make it to the NBA all in one day, or it will get repetitive. 4. It's good you don't play online much, cause that's where the biggest problems with 2K are. Offline play is by far the best. The hardest difficulty should always give you a good challenge. So there's a damn review for yea, haha. I didn't mean to write so much. I guess I got carried away after I started.
  21. The Knicks have a good chance to make the playoffs. They've already turned it around this month winning 8 of their last 12.
  22. I was impressed with Gallo. He's developing a great all around game. First game I watched, all he did was camp and shoot. Now he's driving, rebounding, dishing. He's doing it all. I like this team's core with Chandler, Gallo, and Lee. They should try and keep those three guys, and maybe Duhon as well. D'Antoni still needs that point guard. Also, why the [expletive] is the crowd chanting for Nate. They've had a winning record (7-4) since Mike's benched him since the first of this month.
  23. Read more carefully. He never said there was a rivalry between the Cavs and Wizards.
