Yea, and I'm sure the refs also forced your team to shoot 5-28 from three and commit 17 TOs as well.

^ Watchu talkin' 'bout? (edit: @Flash) The refs are so obviously protecting the Heat and Wade Anyway, Wade is looking more and more like the scoring machine we saw last year. He was very efficient all around, today. Good to see Daequan back in the rotation. Hopefully he stays there and will gain more confidence with his jumper and his overall game. Great defense from Dorell and Haslem today, although Dorell needs to attack with the ball in his hands.. there were a few times where he was alone on a break with freaking Danilo guarding him, and he just pulls out. He is MUCH quicker than Gallo. He needs confidence. Beasley played.... somewhat ok today. Much better than last game, but he really needs to improve his hustle and overall defense. Only 2 boards in 35 minutes... Chalmers is looking better defensively. If he can pick up his aggression on offense, he'll eventually make his way back to the starting line up.

I'm not going to get to a whole argument about this. No, I don't believe in karma, but that wasn't even the point. Chris got her (or his?) life screwed for the next three months over, and she simply returned the favor. And besides, who cares if it's morally right or wrong. It's good entertainment on our end.

Like the title said. Karma is a [expletive].

Colangelo Wants Fans, Media To Have HOF Vote
Poe replied to La Bomba's topic in General NBA Discussion
The fact that T-Mac actually has a chance at the all star game this year is all that needs to be said about allowing fans to vote for these things. I guess it's cool and all to let the fans vote for fun events like an all star game, but for something as big as the Hall of Fame..... -

Arenas alleged target of NBA gun probe
Poe replied to Legacy's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
The image associated with a gun is a thug, but so are tatoos, yet tatoos aren't harmful. Hell, marijuana isn't even harmful and THAT is somehow illegal as well... and cigarettes and alcohol aren't. Anyway, there are a lot of things that can be used to kill besides guns. Knifes, matches, etc. yet those aren't illegal. Why are guns so special? Because it's more accident prone to pull a trigger than light a building on fire (matches)? Then just make it so that people need an age restriction, proper training, and a license before usage. Just like cars. Accidents happen with cars, too. -
Seriously, that is some epic [expletive].

Arenas alleged target of NBA gun probe
Poe replied to Legacy's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
I don't see the problem with him having a gun. He obviously didn't use it on anybody, and I doubt he ever even intended on doing so. There's nothing wrong with owning a gun. The law says there is, but I say there isn't. Guns can be used as a weapon of self defense. It actually puts true criminals in advantage when the law prohibits the common citizen from owning them. Guns don't keep criminals from obtaining them, but it does keep "good" people (for lack of a better word) from having them, and essentially, there are more "good" people than "bad" people in this world. If just half the people in the world owned a gun, and some dudes tried to rob, lets say for a scenario, a bank, and there were 100 people in there. Whatever number of criminals there are, there will be 50 guns pointing right back at them. -
Kobe: 'Nothing there' for Cavs-Lakers rivalry
Poe replied to Warren2ThaG's topic in Los Angeles Lakers Team Forum
There is every reason for there to be a rivalry. The wing matchup between Kobe and LeBron, plus they are the two arguable best players, and Shaq playing against his former team. Yet, for some reason, I just can't feel any real tension. -
As of late, the Rockets seem to be pretty successful without Yao Ming. The young team has been pushing the pace on offense and has been scrappy on the defensive end. Though not every player seems perfectly efficient statistically, they still manage to keep a good record with a decent spot in the playoffs. The Rockets are now positioned at the 6th seed, only one seed below last year with a healthy Yao, and McGrady stepping in and out of the picture. This year they are led by a PG averaging 17 points (just 42% shooting), 5 assists, and 3 TOs per game, and a wing player who is averaging only 16.6 points in just 38% shooting. Statistically, their most efficient players seem to be the PFs, Luis averaging 15 (52%) and 9, and Carl Landry is averaging 16.6 (58%) and 6 in just 26 minutes per game off the bench. As T-Mac gains more playing time and is able to freely become the main playmaker on offense, we can probably expect both Ariza and Brook's FG% to increase, while post players should keep up their efficiency. I'm no expert on the Rockets, but from what I know, if and when Yao becomes healthy again next year he won't simply become an inside presence that puts up numbers. The offensive pace will slow down for him to catch up, and the ball will be needed to be put in his hands for him to be more affective. Thinking futuristically, should this team try and reestablish their offense around Yao by the time he's healthy again, or is this team better off without him?

The Knicks will be firing depending on how motivated the Heat are when defending them. The Heat are typically a very good defensive team, so don't bank on the Knicks to get hot so easily. Also, Wade gets what he wants when he sets his mind to it. You've got to be crazy to think one man can stop a top 3 player in the world like Wade. Only Wade can slow down Wade.

1. What would you rather do? Trade Chris Bosh for the player of your choice (LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, etc), or trade Jay Triano for the coach of your choice (Phil Jackson, Larry Brown, etc). 2. If you were to choose one game to attend this year for free, against which team would you pick? 3. What year had your favorite Raptors squad? 4. Favorite thing to watch on TV other than your home team? 5. Favorite band or musician? 6. Favorite all time Raptor player to never play in an all star game? I'll add more later.
-
Yikes. T-Mac back in Orlando. If everyone else stays put, that could make a damn good team on paper. Nelson - Carter - McGrady - Lewis - Howard. That's basically an all star team right there. That would be a crazy exciting team to watch if they can pull off the right chemistry.

The Heat have made some recent changes as well. Carlos Arroyo is the new (but probably temporary) starting PG, and Dorell Wright is the 7th man. This Knicks record is 8-3 this month, while the Heat have been 5-5. I think this game will depend more on how the Heat play than how the Knicks play. No matter which team wins, it will be the Heat's fault. What I mean is, if the Heat approach this game with the right intensity, they should have no problem winning this game. However, if they come out flat, the Knicks could capitalize, make a huge run early on, and destroy them the same way as the Grizzlies and the Thunder have this season. The Heat are still a better overall team than the Knicks, but they will only win this particular game if they play the right way. I'll be looking for Wade to continue his second half play from last night, and come out firing tomorrow. Hopefully Beasley and Dorell will both bounce back from their terrible performances.

And Chicago is 2nd... and Atlanta is #20
-
Wow. Top ten on the road, yet the Heat don't even break top 15 in Miami. I'm not from Miami, so I don't know the city too well. I grew up in Caly, moved to West Palm Beach about 5 years ago (the same time Shaq moved, lol.. main reason I started watching the Heat, actually), lived there for 3 years, got the chance to see a few games, and now I live in Bradenton (near Tampa). I don't exactly understand the low attendance. Maybe Miami just lacks local dedicated Heat fans, but I think the arena just appears to have less attendance cause everyone just arrives late. It always seems empty to start the games, but then by halftime it looks pretty full. It's sad about the somewhat low attendance, cause the Heat are actually a pretty smart organization, plus a championship not so long ago.

Angry Heat forward Michael Beasley says he's no Tito
Poe replied to Poe's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
So this guy responds........ with a 5 point, 2 for 10 shooting game with only 5 boards... way to earn "that respect" and prove that you "can be relied on day in and day out". SMH. Meh.. I'll still remain optimistic about Beas. He'll gain that respect over time. -
LeBron: Shaq Makes Things Easier For Me
Poe replied to The Regime's topic in Cleveland Cavaliers Team Forum
Ever since he led the entire league in PPG in the 4th quarter last year. http://www.82games.com/0809/QTR4S11.HTM -
Seems like a good win for Toronto. Holding an NBA team to 64 points. Despite them missing offensive weapons, it looks like the Raptors are at least moving forward in their defensive effort.

New high score after watching the Heat game. http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv40/The_Poe/Picture44.png So close to the top ten
-
Good defensive win for the Heat. Some adjustments still need to be made offensively, but at least they fixed the main reason they lost to Portland last time.
-
5 seconds on the clock and all he can think to do is shoot a contested three a few feet outside the 3 point arc??? He could have at least TRIED to get around the defender first. Yeesh. He's looked frustrated out there today. I really hope he bounces back the next game. He can't let himself get buried back to the bottom of the bench. The Heat need his versatility.
-
o..m...g.. Coach Spoe, get Dorell out of the game. Just....wow.
-
Arroyo is having a great game out there. I'm still skeptical about the fact that he can't make threes <_< Wade is finally coming alive, and Beasley got his first points of the game! Yea, and... foul on Udonis??? He was freaking sandwiched on that rebound
