Damn, Wade can't get a call to save his life, lol. And wow for Haslem. 10 points and 9 rebounds for the first half. Is it just me, or does he always happen to put up big numbers when nobody else steps up? Beasley needs to step up. The way he was talking before, it sounded like he was going for 40 tonight (though he didn't literally say that). Hopefully he'll get some more touches the second half, and also play more aggressively overall. Hopefully the Heat will shoot better than 30% the second half. Good grief. It's good that they are forcing their opponents to a bad percentage as well, but they need to make their own shots, too.

Cause Haslem has 8 points and 8 boards And matching him up with Kirilenko isn't a good idea, IMO.
-
Oh wow, didn't realize. The Heat look terrible offensively today. Defense is good and keeping this team in the game. They need to cut down the TOs this quarter.
-
Bench line up in the 2nd qtr = Chalmers - Wright - Jones - Beasley - Haslem. I can understand Chalmers playing because Arroyo is starting, and Jones is currently better in the Heat system than Cook, but Haslem shouldn't be the center in this situation. O'Neal should have checked into the game by now, especially since he came out with 8 minutes left in the 1st. Dorell and Beasley need more touches.
-
I love the intensity the Heat showed in the first quarter. As shots start to fall, the Heat should build a good lead.
-
Good, good, good. 10-1 run for the Heat after the time out. The Heat are looking to push the break, that's great to see. Dorell is coming into the game earlier as well. Arroyo is having a great defensive game on Deron.
-
Good. JO is getting more touches, and also came out of the game early, while the Heat seem to be pushing the tempo a bit. Unfortunately, Haslem is playing center at the moment, but I suppose the matchup is favorable against a slow Okur. The Heat have struggled to put the ball in the basket early on, though. Hopefully it will turn around after this time out.

I found a way to get a screenshot of it. http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv40/The_Poe/Picture43.png

Yea, I should've screenied. It could be the distance of the shots given to me, cause I only got somewhere around 50th place with that score. Next time I'll give a screenshot.

Angry Heat forward Michael Beasley says he's no Tito
Poe replied to Poe's topic in Miami Heat Team Forum
I agree, actually. I've secretly wished the Heat drafted Brook Lopez, because at the time of the draft he seemed like the best option (Chalmers-Wade-Marion-Haslem-Lopez). Really, though, no matter who is on your team, you get the best player you can get. Beasley is looking more and more like that 2nd pick of the draft, and he may even turn out to be the best player. At just 20 years old, he's already averaging 16 and 7 and improving, and could probably even average 20 and 8 by the end of the season, which is a pretty big improvement to last year. Imagine how good he'll be just 2 years down the road, and the Heat already have Wade AND a potential all star in this summer's FA. I'll be honest, I didn't like him much at first, but he's grown to be one of my favorites. If he blasts off for 40 tonight, he'll be my new fave. -
A Reason For Optimisim Or A Desperate Reach?
Poe replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
Despite defensive setbacks... I think this team is in a good situation. Really, besides Bosh and Calderon, it's basically a brand new team. The players are getting used to one another, and chemistry will build over time. They are already in the seventh seed, and I think they have much more potential than the Bucks who occupy the 6th spot atm. They'll probably wind up taking that 6th seed by the end of this year, or maybe even better than that if they can put together some good winning streaks. That's a pretty good improvement to last year, and as chemistry builds (and hopefully defensive intensity as well), they should become an even better team for next year.... if they manage to keep Bosh, of course. -
Well, you know this team better than I do, but from what I've seen.. what Joel and Oden brought to this team was valuable, especially on the defensive end. I would think they need a temporary replacement, and the Blazers have plenty of trade bait with all those PGs.

Nice find, haha. i got better than 70% out of 1400 people or so. Not bad, I guess.

Wade has no reason to go to Chicago other than maybe the fact that he grew up there, but that only puts more pressure on him because he is always with family and friends who will be on Wade's back for tickets and whatnot. Wade has a better situation for him in Miami team-wise, anyway, especially looking at the future. Wade and Beasley > Wade and Rose. Actually.. Wade, Beasley, and an all star SF from FA (LeBron, Johnson, T-Mac, Gay, etc.) >>> Wade, Rose, and Deng

I don't think they are elite, but they can easily become elite in a short amount of time. It is hard to tell by their record, though, but if you look at them from game to game, you can see this team's potential. An example is when they got blown out on Sun 13 by a below .500 team in Memphis 90-118, then two days later they blow out Toronto and force the best offensive team in the league to below 100 points in a 115-95 victory, and then on the next game on Thur 17 they blow out Orlando 104-86. Like Flash said, when the Heat lose, it never feels like the loss was because the opposing team was simply better than the Heat. Again, the Heat have yet to prove to be elite because of their lack of consistency, but I firmly believe that they are a much better team than their record shows. Whether it's lack of consistent effort from game to game, or "lack of toughness" like Riley suggested, or if they require an adjustment to their offensive gameplan... really, this team can become elite from within. If they can just get a few things right, they are up there with the best.

And what about distributing minutes between 3 starter worthy point guards?
-
Why not? The coach needs to find playing time for between Blake, Bayless, and Miller, plus... they don't even have any centers left.
-
Wow... Sucks, that's all I can say. This would probably be a good time to trade one of the many PGs on this team for a decent big to fill in. Either that, or just go really small like the Warriors.
-
There's less risk in giving Tracy minutes earlier in the game rather than later. Just think of this as a stepping stone for T-Mac on rebuilding his way back to becoming more and more of a key part of this team. He'll get those minutes he deserves in time.
