Funny how you don't hear of too many fines against people calling someone a bad player, yet for some reason calling someone a bad ref is a big no-no.

I agree a lot on this. Most of his career D-Wade has been a pure slasher with a developing jumper. Now with Wade's improved jumper, it looks like he trying to establish an outside-in game, which has actually been hurting the team in so many different ways. First off, he isn't shooting a high percentage from the 3 point arc, despite attempting about 4 threes per game. Second, taking jumpers isn't going to open anything up for his teammates. It's Wade's slashing game that draws the defense in, and where Wade kicks out to the open man. Shooting threes isn't going to draw double teams. BTW, Wade did actually play very well in the first half. I felt he was playing the true D-Wade style, attacking the basket, moving very well without the ball, and scoring within the flow of the offense. The 2nd half he was back to settling for jumpers. - I understand his shoulder injury, but what's bothering me more than his shooting percentage is his shot selection. First off, knowing he has a shoulder injury that could slow down his rythm, he should be more wary of when to shoot. Instead, he seems to shoot whenever he feels like it... just like he always has, really. He can get streaky and sink some of those shots, but overall he has never shot a high percentage. For his career he's shot only 37% overall, and that percentage is getting steadily worse each year. His 3 point percentage isn't exactly spectacular, either, shooting 36% for his career. - Beasley was very impressive tonight. It's a side of him I've never seen before. In the 4th quarter he just had a completely different look about him. He seemed almost exhausted (probably from playing so hard), yet so focused.. I hope we'll start see this side from him more often. It looks like he's beginning to rise to his expectations as that 2nd overall pick.

Yep Well said, I agree.

It was as much the GMs fault for drafting players as it was for young players to enter the draft early. Both have to come to the conclusion that the kid is ready to play in order to get drafted, or at least the GM needs to feel that the player can at least be developed. Personally, I think that even if it would be better for some players to go to college first for developmental purposes, I don't think it should be mandatory. You don't need a school education in order to play basketball. It should be up to the players to decide whether they are ready to play or not when they enter the draft.

Opinions change. BTW, Jennings' scoring is down because of Bogut's absence. Look at Jennings' game log ( http://www.nba.com/playerfile/brandon_jennings/game_by_game_stats.html ). Bogut hasn't played since Nov. 18. I predicted this to happen, it's no coincidence. When Bogut comes back, Jennings will be back to his old self.

Great second half defensive performance for the Heat today. If the Heat play defense like that all year, they will be one of the top teams in the league for sure. Big time misses from JO at the FT line today. If he would have made those, the Heat could have built enough momentum to win this one. I've talked about this alot, but Dorell really needs minutes. QR and JJ did not play well at all, and neither did Daequan (who has played terrible all year). Seriously, 3 rotation guys sucking out there, at least give Dorell another try.

JJ and Q-Rich are both pissing me off this game.
-
Beasley is playing [expletive]ing great. Way to go, young fellah!
-
It doesn't make a difference whether he wanted to or not. He didn't live up to expectations. He is a bust.

Your grade has nothing to do with what teams think of you in the game. It's about outdoing your match-up. Pause in the game and click on Performance. Win the position battle in every game, then see if you'll get back to your NBA team.

Somebody showed me an unlimited drill glitch in My Player mode. Here's how you do it if you're wondering: - First, you have to have at least 1 drill remaining. - In the menu, press down on the right stick. - Go to: My Player -> Edit Player - Press LB twice to where you see your attributes - From there, press down on the right stick - Go to: Play Now -> Drills - Play a drill, and it won't count against your remaining drills. - Repeat this before doing every drill.

Harris Wants Sixth Man of the Year Award
Poe replied to Teletopez's topic in Brooklyn Nets Team Forum
How the hell did it get from Sixth Man discussion to whether somebody was joking or not -
I used to watch it when I was younger. I liked it and thought it had a decent story up to the end of the Frieza saga where Goku supposedly dies in the blast after avenging his race. Then the show got kind of repetitive when it became all about the next "bad guy" and the next SSJ transformation (which was all just longer hair... except SSJ4). Now they are doing a remake without all the filler called Dragon Ball Kai, but they haven't made an English version, yet, nor have they finished all the episodes in Japanese, but I watched a couple and it's looking much better than the original. There's also a hilarious parody of DBZ called Dragon Ball Z Abridged made by TeamFourStar. They used to post their stuff on YouTube and got very popular getting millions of hits on all of their videos, but they got suspended due to copyright. You can find their episodes on http://www.tfsabridged.com . Trust me, the episodes are absolutely hilarious. You'll love it. The Bardock Movie parody wasn't that great, IMO, but I thought they did a fantastic job in all of the regular episodes.

Memo to Golden State Warriors: Corey Maggette Must Go
Poe replied to Legacy's topic in Golden State Warriors Team Forum
This reminds me when Ricky Davis and Mark Blount were traded to the Heat. Ricky put up numbers, but like Maggette he was one of those momentum killers, and getting rid of him played a good part in the Heat's huge win improvement last year. Getting rid of Mark last offseason has gotten rid of a total [expletive] hole in the locker room, improving chemistry this year. I can understand the Warriors' situation. -
If it doesn't matter, then why would you care either way?

I don't always agree with how things are done, cause I don't personally mind an aggressive style of posting, but I still like this forum overall. A lot of the members here seem to know their stuff. I only average out 4 posts per day... I'll see if I can contribute more, and help this site grow back to whatever it used to be (I haven't even been a member for a full year yet).

Josh Smith actually has a higher efficiency rating than JJ. So, statistically, Josh Smith is playing better than Joe Johnson this year.

I'm not worked up over it at all. All I said was that I was kind of bothered by it. Also, it's hardly anything I would call a "simple thing". Sure, it's a couple of words.... a delusional lie printed and copied onto billions of dollars in a country that I guess I'm officially a part of. Whether you agree with my views on religion or not, clearly not quite everyone in this country agrees with the phrase, and as YD! said, church and state should be separated. Writing a phrase like this copied onto billions of dollars, among other things, doesn't exactly follow up.
-
Sometimes I cross out the "In God We Trust" because it kind of bothers me. Not all of the country even believes in a God, so that little text there isn't quite accurate, yet it's printed in just about all of our money. I know that sounds anti-religious there, but just imagine if the dollar bills said "In Allah We Trust", or some other deity that you don't believe in, yet a wide amount of people do.

It's the same situation in Miami. He's a great shooter and plays good team D, yet the Heat have Q-Rich and Dorell. All three are deserving of playing time, so it's best to let one go and get some sort of value that the Heat could use more.
-
Amazing game. Big choker by Williams at the end to top off what was a great game for him prior to the ending. Great play from Beasley with the tip-dunk at the very end, and Haslem with the tip-in before that, and O'Neal before that... who was boxing out for Orlando?
-
Wow, bring J-Will back to Miami...
-
I haven't seen J-Will play since he's been on the Heat a couple years ago. It'll be nice to see him play again. I like the way the Heat played against the Hornets offensively. Everyone seems to be finding their spots out there, especially the young guys in Chalmers and Beasley. Chalmers did an excellent job being a playmaker out there for the Heat, and Beasley has been scoring pretty well lately. I hope they carry this over to the game against the Magic. Also, I'd like to see Arroyo take less shots and try to distribute the scoring more. It seems like whenever he's out there with the 2nd unit he has the ball in his hands too much. He plays well, though, and usually nails his shots, so it's hard to complain.

Right now it's between Kobe and Nash. I'd personally give it to Kobe, although Nash has been very impressive so far.
