  1. I'm starting to feel slightly less of a Heat fan. They are too good.. there's no suspense. I know who's winning the championship. And that bothers me.

[expletive] me too get's kind of boring every time Lakers bring the title home ever year........ Nah it never does lol

It was boring watching the Heat get raped by the Celtics lol

  2. It's always good to see teams with large fan bases do well, or at least be on the rise. As much as I hate to say it, the Heat fans don't deserve a super-team any more than any other fan base. In most games throughout the years, half the stands aren't filled until about half-time, even with a superstar in D-Wade on the team... it's pathetic. A team like the Knicks, on the other hand, have a great fan base that sticks with the team even if they are among the worst in the league and run by an awful GM like Isiah... and are hardly deserving of a fan base at all. So anyway, what I'm trying to say is, it's great to see a team with a large fan base finally have a team worth watching and enjoying.
  3. Love the realism of this game. Did an association, and made a bunch of trades to start the season. Turned a line up of Nelson Carter Richardson Lewis Howard into Kidd J.Johnson Grant Hill Lee Howard Epic realism. It's almost like being a GM in real life. I wonder why the real Magic GM hasn't turned the Magic into an all star team yet.
  4. Well, you never hear one of the keys to a game to "win the tip off", or an analysis of why a team lost by two including "had they won the tip off...". So I'm inclined to believe that it's really not that important at all and has very little impact on the outcome of a game. In the end, both teams get to start two quarters with the ball.
  5. It's good to see Dorell Wright finally getting a chance to prove himself, and he's making the most of it. Don't count him out as a future all star. I've been saying it for years.
  6. Very true. He can't be the anchor a great defensive team, but he can certainly be part of one. Especially when he is going from a team where he had to carry the load offensively for 38 mpg, to now being the third option and feeding off of great playmakers (which will start to show itself in time).
  7. How PFs and Cs have done so far against the Heat.. Playing Boston Garnett: 4-11 Shaq: 3-7 JO: 0-3 Davis: 6-7 Playing Philly Brand: 6-11 Hawes: 0-3 Speights: 0-3 Young: 6-8 Playing Orlando Howard: 8-15 Lewis: 0-9 Bass: 1-5 Gortat: 0-0 So I guess the only real low post threats the Heat have faced are superstars Glen Davis and Thaddeus Young, who surely attract more defensive attention that Kevin Garnett and Elton Brand. Otherwise, I don't see the big issue. But please, keep searching for excuses.
  8. Incredible defense. Nobody on the other team had more than a single assist. Granted, it is Jameer Nelson and Chris Duhon running the point. Still. If the Heat are this good on their third official game together, imagine how good they will be after 82.
  9. So let's see here... On October 26, Boston beats Miami On October 27, Cleveland beats Boston On October 29, Toronto beats Cleveland So in conclusion... Raptors > Cavs > Celtics > Heat
  10. James Johnson has talent, but is too young and inexperienced. Korver shoots great, but can't play defense. Brewer defends well, but can't shoot. Bogans shoots a little, defends a little, and has a little experience. I pick Bogans.
  11. You know what? You're right. Soulja Boy should be the commissioner, 'cause he got dat swagga on.
  12. But I didn't say he deserves no blame. There are multiple members to a team and each play a part in the victory/loss. If a member is over/under par in their performance out of what is expected from their role on the team, then they were a larger part to the reason the team won/lost. Never is a single player to take full blame for a loss, but they can have larger or smaller part of the blame. Again, Melo's career average in the playoffs is the same as the regular season, so I can't agree that Melo is the single reason the Nuggets continually failed to advance in the playoffs like CF appears to suggest. And again, NBA =/= PGA. Lakers vs Nuggets is not Kobe vs Melo, it's the Lakers team versus the Nuggets team. If the Lakers win, it's not "Kobe beat Melo", it's "LA beat Denver".
  13. Basketball = team sport. It's a team effort to win games, and while stars do have the largest impact in games, even the best don't even average one third of their team's points. Considering that Melo's career playoff average is about the same as his career regular season average, he played his part and is not to take full blame.
  14. Why does everyone always think basketball is a one on one sport? The playoffs aren't a PGA tournament.
  15. I agree, but his skin color isn't even in the ball-field for the reasons why.
  16. I was quoting a so-called professional scout that gave a preview of the Warrior's season, calling Ellis the third best player on the team
  17. Pretty good game for Ellis, aka the Warrior's "third best player".
  18. [expletive], now Garcia is getting too good. Now they gotta trade Evens.
  19. Someone forgot to tell Carlisle that The Jet can't win his sixth man award if he's starting.
  20. Love this Turner guy. After only watching one game from him, I think he's become one of my favorite players in the league.
  21. Championship starting line ups usually consist of a defender/dirty work player and a glue guy. Artest/Ariza and Fisher filled those roles for LA, Perkins and Rondo filled it for Boston, Bowen and Finley for San Antonio, Ben Wallace and Prince for Detroit, etc etc. Anthony and Arroyo fit that mold. I would say that there are other players that could play those roles on the team though, which are Haslem and Miller, but I suppose starting them would put certain players in the Big Three out of position.
