I think something that has gone unnoticed is how Spoelstra has helped develop LeBron's post game despite his early season struggles there, plus he added screen-setting to LeBron's offense at the power-forward position, a position LeBron rarely played in Cleveland.

After watching his atrocious playoff performance (and may I remind you that his TEAM still managed to advance two rounds in the playoffs despite his poor percentages), if you were given a second chance to pick the season MVP would you still say Derrick Rose is the most deserving player for the award?

Ehh, that's true. The timing felt good to bring it up. I've said since the beginning of the year that the Heat's season feels less exciting because I felt like I knew they will win the championship. It was after the loss to the Celtics (first game of the season), and people were like "huh?". It makes watching the NBA feel more exciting when I attach predictions to so many things. If I'm right, I get to say "I-told-you-so". If I'm wrong, then hey, something unexpected happened, and that's usually exciting. It's a win-win for me. But I guess it's too early to talk on this one. Maybe I should come back to this one in a few years.

It was against the Hawks. The Pacers. Against any fairly decent team in the regular season. So why did the Bulls win? Because Joakim Noah is the best in the league at grabbing Rose's misses! Oh yea, and Luol Deng is a pretty good defender. And Tom Thibodeau is a pretty good coach. Just look at the facts. The Bulls won games because of defense and rebounding. So what did Rose do other than a poor job running an offense? Other than making high-flying dunks that make the crowd go "ooh" and "ahh"? He's good at chucking though. Unfortunately, he's not so good at making. At least Noah is there to get the miss! I've been saying this the whole time. Worst MVP since Iverson.

Yea, the Mavericks really exposed some holes that the Thunder have in their young team. I don't think I thought that series through well enough. Plus, Dirk was freaking out of this world. If the Heat advance and win the finals, I will at least be nearly 75% correct for my playoff predictions as a whole. I'm not sure why you crossed off the Heat already, btw. Did Wade fall down some stairs?

Your arguments are so bad. I mean, seriously. Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that the little girl's reaction of "sucking melted ice cream from a straw for weeks" is the most realistic situation. I'll try to remember that next time I, or someone else, tells a whiny 5-year-old girl to stfu when she's begging her mom for an expensive toy, or some shit like that. Seriously. It especially shows when you are cornered and have no clue what to say when you have to resort to sugar-coating your posts with "haha ok", "your unbelievable", "are you kidding me?", "you have NO concept of...", "I don't even know what to say", and "your argument is so completely wrong". And that's just in one post with 7 total sentences.

If the best argument you guys can come up with is "this guy is stupid" or "if you say what you want it's just wrong" or "if you say bad things to someone this [insert something made-up here] will happen", then I think I'm in a pretty good position. Besides, none of the arguments are interesting me. They are weak at best. It's getting boring. One last thing, though. Best argument yet. Problem is, this situation is different. You are putting a child in a poor environment. Plus, a child's mind is basically programmed to believe what their parents tell them (plus their brains are going through stages of development), so if a parent gives their children negative reinforcement, it can damage a child psychologically to an extent, especially when they are surrounded by this environment for the majority of their early life. I don't want to talk about this too much since it goes very off-topic (which was originally about a grown man calling another grown man a "[expletive]got"). Just understand that this is a very different situation than simply expressing oneself to another through words freely.

The worst possible scenario is that she would cry for a minute. That is, unless you decide that it's a good idea to physically attack the person cussing her. If anything, it would be good for her. She might grow thicker skin. If this stuff happens for the first time when she's older, it would be pretty embarrassing to be the parent of a fully grown person to "suck melted ice cream for weeks" just because someone said some mean things to her.

Physical harm, through fists/weapons/etc, can directly cause permanent damage or even death. Some ways of causing damage is so extreme it can even kill millions of people at a time (like an atomic bomb). Auditory methods of communication we call talking is hardly comparable. The only way it can possibly cause tangible harm is through creating a sound so loud it impairs hearing, or exposing oneself to loud sounds on a regular basis (like concerts), which is more often self-inflicted. What you are suggesting is one can communicate negative thoughts through words, and cause one to become "harmed" psychologically. You are also suggesting that, and I quote, that "mental harm is 10 times worse than physical harm". You say people can kill themselves because of other people's words. The communication of thoughts, ideas, questions. These things cannot cause anyone to kill themselves. It's not possible unless you had some sort of mind control device. Just as much as it is someone's choice to choose what words they say, it is your choice to choose how you take it. It is your choice and your choice alone to do what somebody tells you, or take someone's idea and use that as a motivation for your own death. The ONLY person in control of killing yourself is you.

Actually, a 3 point shooting center next to the Big 3 would be killer. It's unlikely he would settle for the MLE though, so I think you can breathe easy at least.

The Mavericks are actually shooting better than the Thunder in the first half because they are 16-19 from the free throw line and 4-9 from three, while the Thunder are 3-5 from the stripe and 0-2 from three. The Thunder's true shooting percentage is .58 while the Mavericks are shooting an extremely efficient .69. The reason the Thunder are winning despite this is because they have 8 more offensive rebounds and 1 less turnover, leading to 10 more adjusted field goal attempts (the one extra being from clock management).

They aren't in trouble until the Heat win both of these home games.
