Shannon seriously lacked creativity. His head nearly touched the rim on that alley. He could have done something better than that.

Am I still allowed to use this avy?

I'm just asking for a little variety. It doesn't have to be 4 different positions. Just one or two guys who aren't PGs. You don't have to agree with me.
-
Wade can play PG. I think you might be right. Kobe and Bron may have participated before, though LeBron used to be a primary PG. I'm just saying. I'd like to see other positions compete in this event more often.
-
On a side note, I can't help but notice that this is the only single-position restricted competition in the all star weekend. Next year, they should include players like Lamar Odom, Kevin Durant, and maybe even LeBron James. Any player that plays a different position that has the all-around skills (ball handling, quickness, accurate shooting and passing) to compete in this challenge.

I went for the youngest and fastest... instead, the winner is the oldest and slowest.

Guys... this is the H.O.R.S.E. thread...

Apparently Rondo shoots better with pants on.

I watched a bit of the first half. When I saw Mark throw a bounce pass across the perimeter in the first possession of the game (which is a pure invitation for a steal against a good player), I knew he sucked, even for the average white guy his age. Dude tried pretty hard, though. The game itself was awful. Some celebrities were out there playing as if they don't give a [expletive] (TO, globetrotters..), and some were actually trying too hard, yet sucked too badly for anyone to think twice about letting them play in this event ever again. I mean, the celebrities were so bad that I think some of the pros have gotten worse just by playing with them.. especially after seeing Becky Hammon miss a wide open layup. Next time, get some celebrities that can actually ball a little bit.

Marion. (New line up would probably be: Kidd - Butler - Marion - Nowitzki - Haywood) That's the main question. This team will certainly create mismatches if they do use Kidd, Caron, and Marion together at the same time. All three can guard their own position, yet Kidd can outmatch players with his size and strength, and Caron, Marion, and also Dirk have great size for their own positions as well. Four out of the five starters create mismatches, and not to mention Terry's offensive fire off the bench. So if they do play well together (which I wouldn't doubt with Kidd running the show), this will be a heck of a team to face in both the regular season and the playoffs. Marion will be matched against Ron. Butler will be matched against Kobe. Fisher will be on Kidd. There's likely to be some mismatches both ways. I wouldn't sleep on the Mavs this year. It'll be a tough series for both teams.

What a move by Dallas. I thought they were going to the conference finals anyway, but if this move works out as well as it seems, then it's possible that they could even push themselves past the Lakers for the NBA finals. I'm dead serious. Well.. first, we'll have to see how well this truly works out, if the trade even happens.

A good idea, especially if you're new, is to follow a teammate. That way you have someone to back you up at all times, and you will back them up, and the opportunity to kill someone will present itself.

It's best not to underrate bands just because most people overrate them, and say they suck when they're actually decent. At the same time, it's good to appreciate lesser known bands. And a lot of times, lesser known bands can be just as good or even much better than many mainstream bands, at least in my opinion.
-
That album was decent, but in my opinion, Hybrid Theory was far better. Great all around album, every song was more than worth listening to and had a unique style. If they would have kept up to the bar that album set, and made more than just one album every four or five years, they could have been one of the greatest bands of all time. They lost their originality in their latest album, unfortunately, in Minutes to Midnight.
-
Joking? Though LP was actually pretty good to start the decade. Nothing else they've released has been quite as good as their first album... plus they've only released 3 albums in 10 years.

I suppose I didn't play the game after that patch, then.

He made a comment about the lagg, not so much the game itself. The lagg can give me the feeling that it's garbage at times, too. Though the campaign is very good, especially when you can play with a friend online. The game doesn't exactly last much when it comes to extending your time on it in online matchmaking. The connection is usually too bad to enjoy it, and I have a fairly decent connection, as do most people who play the game and claim they have problems.
-
That's a pretty arrogant thing to say, man. You don't think people have a right to criticize a game, even if they weren't skilled at it, or play long enough to get any good?

Larry Brown wants to return to Sixers

Great news for Philly. What about Charlotte? -
Yea, it's best not to concern yourself with rankings when it comes to video games, unless there is some sort of prize you can realistically get. Really, it's not worth trying to get a high rank, since you won't be getting anything out of it, and you'll move on to a new game eventually regardless. Just hit up a few friends and enjoy the online competition.
-
I think I have it somewhere. I haven't played in a long time. I don't really think I plan on playing it again. The campaign is pretty good, and there are some nice online modes. Problem is, the servers suck. There is at least a half-second lag on your shot no matter what the connections is. 0.5 of a second doesn't sound like much, but it can mess your whole game up. A lot of people still enjoy the online game despite these problems.. it's too frustrating for me, personally.

Boston Trading for Both Jamison & Butler?
Poe replied to Jammin's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
I suppose I had the wrong impression of Jamison... with him being on the same team as Arenas and all. It's too bad he's had to deal with these problems the Wizards are facing. It would be a nice end to his career to go to the Celtics. His play off the bench might be able to help push that team to the finals. If Sheed was included in the trade and out of the Celtics' offense, I think there could be plenty of shots to get him involved, even if he doesn't demand them. It's just the Ray Allen for Caron Butler part that I still don't understand. -
Boston Trading for Both Jamison & Butler?

You could be right about Jamison and his willingness to come off the bench. Problem is, there might not be enough shots for him. If it's not Jamison that will get the short end of the shot numbers, someone else will. If the Celtics can give a deal that involves Rasheed Wallace and other expiring contracts other than Ray Allen or any other core players, it could work well for them. They don't need Caron, but Jamison off the bench could have some good results. Give KG minutes at both big positions, with Jamison as the bench combo forward and Perkins getting extra time at center.
