  1. Just think about that heading into next year if the Heat do manage to get a guy like Joe Johnson, Chris Bosh, or whatever big time FA. Dorell might win sixth man of the year!
  2. Dorell Wright: 2 points (1-2 FG), 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal during his 8 minutes of action in the first quarter. He's on his way to his first triple double.
  3. Why does one player on the Rockets have more rebounds than the entire Heat team?
  4. The point is last year the Warriors did a lot better with Jackson as #1 option with no Monta than this year with Monta as #1 option with no Jackson.
  5. However Jackson gets his offense, he still appears to be more of a positive impact on his team than Monta has been when comparing records. Warriors record with S-Jax last year: 29-53 (PCT: .354) Warriors record without S-Jax this year: 13-37 (PCT: .260, heading into 21-61 record) Bobcats record without S-Jax last year: 35-47 (PCT: .427) Bobcats record with S-Jax this year: 24-25 (PCT: .490, heading into 40-42 record) As far as impact goes, getting rid of Stephen has had a negative impact on the Warriors and a positive one on the Bobcats. Monta, on the other hand, played in just 25 games last year for the Warriors and had virtually no impact on the season as a whole, though the Warriors as a team appeared good enough to make the playoffs without him had they been located in the East. This year, Ellis has played in almost every game, yet the Warriors are somehow doing worse as Monta being the #1 guy rather than Stephen, though they have had some key injuries. This isn't any shot against Monta's spectacular year (which deserves all star recognition), and I'm not saying Stephen is all that much better than Monta. It's just that however you look at Jackson's game, he's proven to be more than a positive asset. We have yet to see if Monta has what it takes to be the #1 option for a better team and still put up good enough numbers to be called a top 5 SG.
  6. I stuck Jackson up there for defense, being less turnover prone (than Ellis), and being the best scorer for a much better team, plus he takes less shots per game. It wasn't a distinct choice for me, though. At this point, I'd say Ellis is at a close number 6 with Granger at 7 (if Danny still counts as an SG). Also, a player doesn't have to be the best player on their team to be one of the best at their position. Some would argue that Josh Smith has been better for the Hawks this year than Joe Johnson.
  7. ^ Still... I find it weird how society makes such a big deal out of a naked human body, to the point where it's actually punishable to not have certain body parts covered at all times. I guess that's just me, though. I never understood censorship.
  8. Watches were so 20th century. We live in the cell phone era now.
  9. I wouldn't want anything to do with Gilbert, personally. He is the exact opposite of what this team needs. What the Heat need in a point guard: - A player who plays tough defense on the ball and smart defense off the ball. - A threat from the 3 point arc and knock down his open looks. - A skilled ballhandler who makes smart decision (high assist/TO ratio). - Less ball dominant to allow the stars to be playmakers. - A true point guard. What Gilbert brings: - Lacking effort defensively, will get the occasional steal. - A somewhat average three point shooter who prefers to shoot off the dribble rather than spot up. - A skilled ball handler, yet a low assist/TO ratio. Will try to force plays. - Ball dominant and will take the ball out of Wade's hands to stuff his own stats. - An SG who plays PG. Believe me. Getting Arenas to Miami would be a disaster.
  10. I was joking. Anyway, my real list: 1. Kobe Bryant 2. Dwyane Wade 3. Brandon Roy 4. Joe Johnson 5. Stephen Jackson
  11. 1. Allen Iverson 2. Tracy McGrady 3. Gilbert Arenas 4. Michael Redd 5. Nate Robinson
  12. http://i667.photobucket.com/albums/vv40/The_Poe/Picture62.png Per 36 minutes... Donte Greene: PTS 14.7, RBS 5.0, AST 1.6, STL 1.0, BLK 1.4 Marvin Williams: PTS 12.4, RBS 6.2, AST 1.2, STL 0.9, BLK 0.8
  13. Then what trade would you suggest?
  14. Oh, that sucks. Still, maybe Jones and Cook/Chalmers and a first pick would do for just Blake. Hopefully, if the Heat are pursuing a trade like this, that they could squeeze a bit more value than just one point guard.
  15. BTW, Wade isn't upset at Spo at all: Dwyane Wade says he and Spoelstra are on the same page
  16. Any sources on that? It would be great to shed James Jones' contract for him. If Dae-Dae wins the 3 point shoot out, that might raise trade appeal. Maybe even add Rio in the deal and trick the Blazers into thinking that he's still good. Chalmers, Cook, and Jones for Blake and Batum, maybe? or better yet Blake and Fernandez?
  17. The fact that Maggette has been playing well doesn't make my original statement false. Sure, the injury sucks for Maggette, and I'm not denying his level of play prior to it, but with or without him, the Warrior's situation for their record still remains the same. If anything, the Maggette injury will help them tank even more for a better pick. Therefore, the injury does not suck for the Warriors.
  18. I see your point. At this stage in Tracy's career, though, whether he goes to a team like Philly or not, it's possible that he'll be willing to take a pay cut for a team with realistic championship aspirations. He's made enough money in his career to be more than satisfied financially. He's never made it out of the first round.
  19. I don't see how. Warriors + Maggette = worst record in conference. Warriors - Maggette = worst record in conference.
  20. Let's try to base these bands on their achievements as artists and the material that they produced during the '00-'09 decade, and less on pure popularity and their social life away from music.
  21. KG has the second highest efficiency rating on the team.
