  1. Argh. Too many turnovers and 3 pointers attempted in that fourth quarter. The Heat really need to back off of those threes. Oh well.. at least JO had a great night. 24 points, 16 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks. We need to see THIS Jermaine MORE OFTEN!
  2. Three quarters and the Heat are doing a great job rebounding (40) and not attempting too many threes (6/13). Turnovers are the only thing keeping the Heat from breaking away in this game.
  3. Alston and Wright are the only players to get minutes that did not receive a turnover. The Heat need to fix that the second half. They also need to stop getting their shots blocked. And JO, about that first quarter... from now on, just pretend that every center you ever face again is Brad Miller. Mkay?
  4. Who would you say were the top 5 rock bands of the last decade? Any variation of rock music counts.
  5. If the Heat are tanking they wouldn't have signed Arroyo and traded away Chris Quinn. If it wasn't for those moves, we would have to deal with him as our starting PG in place of Chalmers being injured.
  6. BTW, I hope to see at least a small change in the rotation. Four straight losses. I'm looking at particularly the Wright > Richardson situation.
  7. Another really big game for the Heat... let's just say, they better win.
  8. Gibson probably should have made it. But at the same time, Stephen Curry is in it over Anthony Morrow, Paul Peirce over Ray Allen, and Daequan Cook over the whole league.
  9. Stephen Curry needs to give up his spot for Anthony Morrow.
  10. Great stuff, man. Very solid breakdown. I agree with just about everything, except for maybe a few minor details. I might post a more detailed response later. Right now, I'm just not in the mood to say a whole lot. Anyway, thanks for taking the time to do this. Again, good job on the breakdown.
  11. I bet you'll give him a warm welcome back
  12. Difference is that team needs all of those players to be where they are at. Cleveland just needs LeBron.
  13. Wizards easily. They had the same core of players that got them to the playoffs in the past, yet now they are a complete mess.
  14. Mo has been injured since the 19th of January. The Cavs haven't lost a game since. Looks great for LBJ's case for MVP, but not for your case for Mo as an all star.
  15. Beasley takes the second most shots per game on this team. He's given a lot of room offensively to be the scorer that he is. It's the other things Spoelstra wants to see from him in order to get the complete amount of time. You do realize how much growth Beasley has shown already. I find it hard to imagine that Spoe is actually killing his confidence, especially after upgrading Beasley's role to starter after last year. I know Beasley isn't always finishing games, but I'd say things are clearly going uphill for him as a whole between this year and last. I think you are actually right in saying that his focus on the things Spoelstra wants could actually be hurting his offense between each game, but you have to look at the big picture... it's all part of his growth. Once Beasley reaches a point in his game where defense becomes more second-nature for him and he doesn't have to put so much energy and effort each game in that direction in an attempt to "get it right", his offense will explode. But first, he actually has to "get it right", and he's getting there.
  16. LeBron is the centerpiece of the team, you can't deny that. All of the Cavs players are solely meant to compliment James' game. All of them a good defenders. All the perimeter players can shoot threes, and even a certain big man, and a few bigs and athletic wings who can finish down low. Fact is, none of the James' teammates have contributed enough individually to be an all star talent. Collectively the Cavs team have done a great job, I'm not denying that a team wins games, but LBJ is the guy who truly holds it all together. Just imagine a string attached to all the Cavs' players, and LeBron is holding the opposite end of every string in his right hand. You take away LBJ, you take away what holds everything together, the strings break, and the team collapses. This team truly revolves around this one player. You know, I'd actually like to see LBJ get injured for a few weeks.. just to prove a point.
  17. The Heat's number one key statistically for this game was their poor shooting percentage of 41%, and 4-17 for three. I'm sure Boobie was such a big key contributor there.
  18. Spo isn't looking for any mere excuses. He's looking for particular parts in Beasley's game to improve, and Beasley knows exactly what they are. If Spoelstra decides to play him anyway despite whether Beasley improves these part of his game or not, then Beasley may lose a lot of that discipline the coaching staff has spent so much time teaching the guy. With the guidelines Spoelstra set in place for each and every game, Beasley's the one in control of his own playing time. When he plays the right way, he gets his minutes. That's what he did tonight, and Spoelstra rewarded him.
  19. Watching LeBron run the show without any point guards last night shows just how good LeBron is, not the Cavs. Cavs' starting line up last night: James, Parker, Jawad, Hickson, O'Neal. The second leading scorer other than LBJ's 36 points and 8 assists was Shaq's 13 points. Though I'm mad about my own team to root for right now, the Cavs still won by double digits, and this game shows exactly why LBJ is the only all star on his team.
  20. Crazy thinking about how I would have guaranteed a loss for Miami despite their opponent having no point guards to play.
  21. Rafer sat, Wright got extra minutes, and Q-Rich got somewhat shortened minutes because Beasley was played well??
  22. Q-Rich hasn't shot the ball too great lately, but who else on the bench are you going to look for? Cook and his 30% shooting? James Jones' camping [expletive]? Yahkouba Diawara and his... complete and utter uselessness? Wright and Rich is all the heat got when it comes to perimeter players when Wade was running point for most of the night. It's a reason why I suggested started them both with Rafer as a filler at point with all the starters and Haslem to gain extra minutes. Wade can switch to wing when Rafer subs in, and Beasley can switch to wing as well when Haslem comes in. There is certainly no reason to play anyone else based off what I've seen lately. For playcalling, it's simply that the Heat just don't have options other than Wade and Beasley. O'Neal is fragile as hell and pulls up all the time cause he's afraid to get a tiny bump by the basket, which is also an obvious case for his poor rebounding. Wright's offense is on and off, Richardson is just there for 3s and occasional post-ups on mismatches, but other than that... there's absolutely nothing. This team is falling apart, and 2010 just can't come quick enough.
