The league shouldn't do a thing about it. It's clear that these guys probably have not practiced their free throws in the gym as much as they should have. They know that they're going to be sent to the free throw line countless times over the course of the season, so why not take the time to polish their technique?

For kobe to average 30 a game this year, he would have to average quite a lot of shot attempts, more than is healthy for the Lakers with the offensive talent they possess with dwight and pau. So while I would love to see it happen, the Lakers most likely would not benefit from it.

Truly taking a charge takes a lot of skill and guts. Problem now is that too many players can get away with terrible acting and get the call as a result of poor officiating, which is why I was actually pretty happy when the new rules to prevent flopping were introduced.
