  1. If it was me I would insist that the Rockets take on Brand's contract, not Dalembert's. Dalembert's contract isn't appealing at all, but at least it runs out next year, Brand's contract is just disguisting. Although, I can't see Houston being willing to take on Brand.
  2. Bynum is a horrible defender, or at least he has been this season. The only thing that he has going for him is his size and length, but he doesn't even use it to his advantage on the defensive end of the floor anyways. Bosh is a better defender than Bynum is. Bosh just looks god awful on defense because of the complete and utter garbage around him on the defensive end of the floor. It is hard to be a good defender when you are given absolutely no help on the perimeter, or inside from your big man partner (Bargs is a fairly decent man defender, but an attrocious help defender, although he has gotten better in that regard lately). Players are blowing by Calderon, Jack and Turkoglu like they aren't even there and this gives the Raptors bigs absoltuely no time to rotate over. As a result of this, they are late and people mistake it for a lack of defense on Bosh's part, when that isn't the case as Bosh is actually a smart defender and a good help defender. Bosh plays center for Toronto anyways, and has done so for the majority of his career, so that isn't really a problem. He would struggle guarding somebody like Dwight Howard or Shaquille O'Neal straight up, but how many players in the league can actually say that they wouldn't struggle against these two if they aren't given help? Do you actually think that Andrea Bargnani is the one who is playing center for the Raptors?
  3. What a pathetic choke job from the Raptors. Absolutely disgraceful 4th quarter.
  4. That looked like it might've hit Danny Granger's foot AFTER he threw it off of Weems. It also looked like Granger was out of bounds before he even threw it off of Weems as well. This should be Raptors ball based on this last replay that they showed. EDIT: I don't know about this. It definitely looked like it should've been Raptors ball. Tough call to make regardless though.
  5. Triano really needs to pull his head out of his [expletive] and realize that these two point guard line up DOES NOT [expletive]ING WORK. Like seriously, how many times does it take the Raptors to fall apart int he 4th quarter with this lineup on the floor before Triano realizes that this lineup is awful? Lol, for such a "great clutch player" Turkoglu sure misses a lot of shots in the 4th quarter. In fact, I'm still waiting for "Mr. 4th Quarter" to actually show up in the 4th quarter. So far in this quarter he has played matadoric defense, stood around on offense, threw up a complete brick on a wide open 3 and airballed another one. Sick crossover by Bosh there. If he would've found a way to complete the And 1 on that play, it would've been one of the best Raptor plays of the year without a doubt. And Price hits the 3 that seals the game after a completely idiotic possession from Jarret Jack where he decided to dribble the ball for 15 seconds straight and jack up a jumper.
  6. Classic Toronto Raptors 2nd half melt down. I swear, this team is incapable of blowing teams out despite the fact that they get huge leads in the 1st half of games.
  7. Anybody else have a bad feeling about this game? Don't know why exactly, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the Raptors lose this game. The robotic start to the game doesn't help with my doubts either.
  8. http://www.torontosun.com/sports/basketball/2010/01/11/12416266-sun.html Turkoglu has been pretty pathetic this season for the most part, if you ask me. Whether that is because he doesn't have the ball enough, is uncomfortable or is simply overrated, I don't know, but the more and more I watch him play, the more and more I wish the Raptors had just re-signed Marion. Turkoglu is looking like a huge bust for this team. He just doesn't fit in, and, like I said in the summer, he was made out to look better than he actually is when he was playing in Orlando because in Toronto, he looks like nothing more than a bigger version of Calderon.
  9. Alright, thanks a lot guys. I'll definitely check out some of these shows as a lot of you seem to recommend the same shows.
  10. I never really watched much TV before this year so I don't really know what shows are good and what not, but when I am bored/have time to kill or can't fall asleep, I find that watching a TV show on the computer is a good way to pass the time. During the summer I watched Lost and I recently finished watching House, so I was wondering what some other good TV series are that you would recommend. I don't really have any sort of specific genre that I like to watch, although House and Lost are definitely my two favourite shows, if that helps at all.
  11. Indy made the right decision. Granger is the better player than Jefferson and Jefferson doesn't look remotely close to the player that he was before his knee injury last season. It would be a huge gamble on the Pacers behalf and I don't think that any sort of reward would be worth the risk. I would rather just keep Granger and build through the draft for a couple of years and hope that you strike gold. The way I see it, Granger is the better player, is only a year older, is locked up long term at a reasonable price and doesn't look like a shell of his former self after an injury. If this was pre-knee injury Jefferson it would be a little closer, but even then, I think that I would still keep Granger. I used to be a huge advocate of building from the inside out, but to be perfectly honest, the league is much more perimeter oriented now and I would go as far as to say that a great wing player is more valuable than a great big man, unless he is an elite offensive and defensive big man, which Al Jefferson is not, and I don't think that he ever will be. At best it would be a lateral movement for Indiana, but I just don't see the point in them making this move when you are going to end up with a very good draft pick in a draft that has some very good big men in it. Last season's draft was all about the guards and had little to no depth when it came to good big men, but this years draft is basically the complete opposite. You have guys like Derrick Favors, Donatas Motiejunas, Ed Davis, Greg Monroe, DeMarcus Cousins, Cole Aldrich (although more of a center), Patrick Patterson, Craig Brackins etc... in this years draft. Just keep Granger at the 3 and pair him up with one of the many talented big men in this years draft. You do that and your front court for the future is solidifed and looking very, very dangerous with Hibbert/Rookie PF/Granger. Sure, the rookie may not be as good as Al Jefferson is, but I'd rather roll the dice with one of them than trade Granger for Jefferson, which opens up another hole at SF, a position that isn't nearly as deep in this years draft. From there, all you need to do is turn your attention to the backcourt and add some depth to the team and you are looking at a team with a good future in the next 4-5 years. Knowing Indy though, they will find a way to mess it up. They have not done a good job of rebuilding at all.
  12. This is proof that the Raptors defense is improving. Earlier in the season it would've been House putting up the triple double and Scal dropping 30 points. Yay for improvement!
  13. No he isn't. He is a servicable 5th big man off of the bench who will have some good games here and there, but that is only when he plays within himself and doesn't think that he is a talented offensive player. Sadly, he gets caught up a little too often and forces things offensively, which drives fans nuts. If he just focuses on rebounding and playing defense he is a competent player, although still a far ways away from being close to considered good. He could be a different player since his time with the Raptors as I haven't seen much of him since being traded.
  14. Who do you want in the playoffs? Lets assume the Raptors finish in 6th place this season, which will ultimately result in a matchup against one of the East's "Big Three". Who would you rather play between Boston, Orlando and Cleveland?
  15. No he isn't. Just because other teams are inquiring and expressing interest doesn't mean that they are shopping him. And journalists like Peter Vescay are terrible. I am just as credibile are he is. If this clown told me that the sky was blue, I would question it. That being said, this is definitely the best "rumor" that I have heard for Bosh. It is 10X better than that garbage Chicago "rumor" I heard earlier with Hinrich, Thomas and a pick going to Toronto.
  16. If he threw a couple of hard fouls here and there, like he does hits in the NHL, I would be happy lol. PS: Kendrick Perkins scares the living [expletive] out of me. The only thing scarier than Kendrick Perkins angry face, is seeing him smile. Then you know he is going to kill somebody. PPS: Game over.
  17. The Raptors should sign Mike Komisarek. Did you see that jumper? Dude gotz skillz.
  18. Meh, he wouldn't make much of a difference. This game has been lost for the Raptors at the 2-3 positions, as well as Sheed dropping 30 points (by the end of the game). The Celtics have simply out worked, out hustled and out played the Raptors in every single way. Sure, Rondo may not have gone off as much as he has, but he would still be dominating the game and the score would be the exact same. Lol at the circus shot from Belinelli. Of course Devlin has to ruin it by calling him "The Playmaker". [expletive], Devlin is annoying.
  19. He is right though. The Pistons did waste their pick on him. They drafted him 2nd overall and never really gave him the chance to crack the lineup. And, umm, how exactly did he get a chance with the Pistons? He averaged 5 and 7 minutes a game during his two full seasons with the Pistons. He got a decent opportunity with the Magic and he played well for them, they just wanted to go in a different direction. Outside of that though, I really wouldn't say that he has been given a chance. Even then, he was totally ruined as an NBA player by sitting on the bench for the better part of the first 3 years of his career. He may complain quite a bit, but he is 100% correct in what he is saying here.
  20. Jack and Calderon, AKA the worst defensive point guard duo in the NBA. EDIT: Haha, my bad.
  21. It must be so frustrating for Bosh in games like these. He has put up 29/11 on 8/16 and 13/13 from the line, but the team is playing uninspired defense and is getting no help from anybody aside from Bargs. Turk is 1-6, Jack is 2-6, and nobody else is in double digits. Like I said earlier though, you can't get down 15 to the Celtics and expect to win the game. Oh well, I don't think that anybody was expecting a win today anyways and I was expecting a blowout.
  22. Did I really just see Rasheed Wallace admit to committing a foul? I'm scared...
  23. Where do I sign up? :glasses:
  24. Game getting away from the Raptors. Getting down double digits against the Sixers is one thing, but getting down double digits against the Celtics is a death wish. Raptors aren't coming back fro a 15 point defecit aginast the Celtics.
