  1. Huge 3 from Nicholson there to make it a 1 possession game. EDIT: And an even bigger 3 from White as th shot clock expired. And then the Bonnies answer with another huge 3 lol.
  2. You wanna see ugly? Check my bracket during the Elite Eight. The entire South Region is going to be wrong.
  3. I'm really starting to warm up to Bradley Beal. I always like his shooting and rebounding ability but he is starting to show a much more all-around game than I originally thought he had. Dude is an elite rebounder from the guard position, has shown solid playmaking ability and is playing very well defensively despite being played out of position at Florida. He really fills up the box score and does a lot of things very well. He didn't stuff the stat sheet like he normally does today, but it was a blowout so that isn't a real surprise to me. He still had 14 points and 11 boards on 5-8 shooting.
  4. Henson won't be playing for the Tar Heels today. It shouldn't be much of a factor for today, but if his wrist injury lingers and keeps him out of the lineup or below 100%, it greatly reduces their chances of making the Final Four, let alone winning a National Championship.
  5. Randolph and Gay should both be returning to the Grizzlies lineup tonight: Tank you very much.
  6. Creighton survives the free throw choking. Bad shot for Alabama there. Not a good look at all.
  7. Creighton choking away this game at the line. Missed 3 of their last 4 and instead of being a double digit game, Alabama has the ball down 1 with 4.7 seconds left and a chance to win the game. EDIT: What the hell happened? Why didn't Bama call the time out before inbounding the ball?
  8. Bush league move by CJ Williams dunking that instead of dribbling the clock out. No need to rub it in like that.
  9. Does anybody even consider NC State beating SDSU an upset?
  10. They should really just launch 3's instead of taking advantage of their size, right? Seriously though, nice to see them FINALLY taking advantage of their size and athleticism down low. They didn't play up to their potential for a vast majority of the year because they settled way too often. It wasn't until the last month or so that they finally played to their strength.
  11. I doubt he even declares unless it is some guarantee that Boston will be able to pick him. He loves it at Duke, has acknowledged that he still has a lot of work to do on his game before he is NBA ready and its not like he needs the money or anything. If he blows up next year, he could really elevate his draft stock. I could be way off, though. And Kabongo finishes his season with a stellar 2 point, 2 rebounds, 2 assist, 2 turnover on 0-6 shooting performance. He did have 4 steals, but definitely not a good showing from him. I'd be surprised if he declares this year as his stock has dropped quite a bit throughout the course of the year. Then again, I said the same thing about Cory Joseph last season and he declared, much to my surprise.
  12. My Canadian bias made me pick Texas at first, but I immediately came to my senses and switched to Cincy. Looks like I might have been better off staying with Texas, although Cincy is playing better on these last few possessions. Gates with two big buckets.
  13. Lol, I have too, but I watched this and the OKC/Denver game before I went to bed last night. Funnily enough, Gortat was crap out there. Frye was actually intimidating the Clippers on defense. He got a few blocks/deflections early and for some reason they just stopped attacking. I think they thought it would be an easy win without Nash and Hill in the lineup or something.
  14. Lol. That team has so little talent. Brown and Kabongo are really the only guys who can create anything and Myck just doesn't have it in his personality (nor does he have the scoring ability) to really take a game over offensively. They have a strong recruiting class next year and if Kabongo stays they should be better, but yeah, they really are lacking any sort of talent outside of Brown and Kabongo.
  15. Did you watch the game at all? If you did, it shouldn't really be a surprise as they were launching jumpers all game long. Even Griffin did most of his damage outside of the paint with his 15-18 foot jumper. They really didn't put any pressure on the refs to make a call since nobody was attacking and they were just settling all game. The only reason why they even shot 12 is because Gentry decided to hack-a-Griff and hack-a-Jordan late in the game, otherwise they would've only attempted 6. Half their freebies came because of that.
  16. OKC did an awesome job closing out on Denver shooters tonight holding the Nuggets to just 5-22 shooting from 3 and something like 1-9 in the 2nd half. They also made 12 3's of their own. That was pretty much the difference in this game.
  17. Very impressive win for Phoenix. They decide to rest both Nash and Hill in the middle of their back-to-back-to-back, Gortat and Dudley combine for 6-20 shooting and Griffin was hitting jumpers like he was Dirk, yet Phoenix still pulled out the win. This was definitely one of the most impressive games I've seen from the Suns this year. Brown really stepped up, especially late in the game.
  18. Neither has MKG, which makes it even stranger. If Barnes goes off in this tournament and leads UNC to the Final Four while MKG has an average tournament (basically, if he continues his play as of late) I can easily see Barnes jumping over MKG. The gap between them really isn't significant at all. Of course, I am bias towards Barnes as I've been a huge fan of his ever since I saw some games of his in high school, but I don't think that is a stretch to think by any means, is it? Also, the order of the picks is going to depend entirely on the lottery. Davis will obviously go first, but if some sort of combination of Sacramento, Detroit, New Orleans and potentially Washington occupy picks 2-3-4 it could end up being 4 bigs in a row. If Toronto, Cleveland, Utah or Golden State end up with picks 2-3-4 it could be Davis and then 3 wings. I really don't think that there is much seperation between guys like Barnes, Drummond, Robinson, Sullinger, Beal, Lamb and MKG. I can see any of these guys being picked 2nd just as easily as I can see them being picked 8th.
  19. If I'd have left it alone and went with my original, non-outlandish bracket I'd have gone 14 of 16 with my two incorrect picks being LBSU over New Mexico and UNLV over Colorado. However, my actual bracket now is 12 of 16. Got Wichita St., UNLV, Gonzaga and UConn wrong, all of which I had right aside from UNLV. Of course, it is going to go to absolute shit once the round of 32 starts. I'm guaranteed at least another 5 wrong picks based on my Wichita St. and UConn upset picks. My entire South Region bracket is basically wrong now, lol. Oh well, I never expected it to actual be accurate once I made those changes last night.
  20. UNLV going cold at the worst time. They've gotten some very good looks but just can't hit anything right now.
  21. Colorado simply can't handle the pressure UNLV's defense is putting on them. EDIT: And another turnover. Wow.
  22. I can somewhat understand this, although I'm not sure I fully agree with it since I think Beal is going to be very good and if Barnes reaches his potential, he has legitimate star potential. I also think in the right situation Lamb can be a difference maker. I still don't like it at all for New Jersey, but if it is true that they only like those 3, you can understand their thought process, even if you disagree with it like I do.
  23. Deshaun Thomas is going to blow up next year without Sullinger and Buford. He has had a very strong finish to the Big Ten season, playoffs and had 31/12 tonight. And yeah, I didn't expect Colorado to dominate UNLV like this. Not that they are a bad team or anything, I just thought that the Rebels were a very, very strong 6 seed.
