  1. Poor academics. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/basketball/ncaa/wires/02/10/2060.ap.bkc.uconn.apr.1st.ld.writethru.0893/index.html#ixzz1pFTHc6bm
  2. Great day for the tank. Toronto dealt Barbosa who was keeping them in games and, in some cases, winning them games in the 4th. New Jersey dealt their 1st for Wallace, so you know they are going to go balls to the wall trying to win and retain Deron this summer. Washington acquired Nene who should end up helping them win more games than they would've otherwise. Question is, will they win enough for the Raps to overtake them, or do they have too much of a lead built up? If Toronto can hold of Sacramento, they should at least finish no worse than 4th last. With that said, it wasn't a great day in terms of the actual draft prospects. Drummond had 2 points and 3 rebounds in UConn's loss, Lamb was a non-factor despite what his stats may say (and they aren't that good either) and Perry Jones had 2 points on 1-6 shooting. Hopefully guys like Barnes, Beal and Robinson have a better showing tomorrow. Anthony Davis was his usual self, though. 16 points, 9 rebounds and 7 blocks. MKG was alright, I guess. 9 points, 7 boards, 2 assists on 4-8 shooting.
  3. I honestly don't see why he would. He is basically guaranteed to go top 5 at the very least, realistically top 3. Most importantly of all, UConn basically has nothing to play for next year. They can't play in the NCAA Tournament next year, so I can't see why Drummond would come back.
  4. Lol, I would've been almost spot on if it wasn't for that last Lamb 3. 1 point off. Also, lol at Lamb. Pretty much sums up their failure of a season.
  5. Well, Napier's back in. You know what that means... Iowa St will go on a run and this lead will increase from 7 to 15 in the next few minutes.
  6. If I actually gave a damn about my bracket, I'd be really upset about all the screwing around I did with it last night. If I'd just left it alone I'd have gotten every game right so far except I had the Lobos losing to Long Beach. I'd also have Iowa State beating UCONN, which seems to be inevitable given how awful UCONN looks right now. Luckily for me, I couldn't care less and just made a bunch of off the wall picks for fun.
  7. Calhoun with another quick timeout and looks like he wants to kill Oriakhi. 3rd time he has ripped into him already.
  8. 1 minute into the game and Calhoun already chewing out Drummond for not having his head in the game and allowing two easy baskets in the paint.
  9. Well, at least I was perfect through the morning/afternoon games.
  10. More so because they actually started playing with a pulse than anything, but that does involve making use of their size and athleticism advantage. My entire bracket depends on the next 27 seconds in this VCU/Wichita St. game. Go Shockers!
  11. Typical Baylor "we have more talent than the other team so we can coast" crap that they've pulled all year. They came out thinking it would be a cake walk playing terrible defense and not running anything on offense which resulted in South Dakota St. jumping out to an early 12 point lead. They're playing better now.
  12. If Wichita St. doesn't get their shit together, my bracket is toast before the ed of the first day of the round of 64. Oh yeah, I also switched from Gonzaga to West Virginia last night as well, haha.
  13. Glad I decided to make one final switch to New Mexico last night. I had finally "settled" on LBSU but at the last minute switched once again. Even though I had the Lobos winning, I was pulling for Long Beach.
  14. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/7692628/sources-denver-nuggets-closing-long-term-deal-wilson-chandler If the bolded is true, that is a lot less than I anticipated. I figured he would get around $8-9M a year, not $6M. If you can get Chandler on a long term, $6M a year deal, that is great. The question is, how much "excess" are we talking about?
  15. Good. Now Colangelo can't make the mistake of signing him to a $10M a year contract. As for Denver, this shouldn't really surprise anybody after the Nene trade. It was obvious that a huge part of that trade was to free up cap to sign Chandler. If they kept Nene and re-signed Chandler, they would quickly enter into cap hell with those two contracts, Afflalo's, Gallinari's, Harrington's and the upcoming Lawson extension. Of course, they are going to have to make a decision on McGee in the summer as well, so either way they have to make a decision.
  16. Another BS call goes against Asheville. Clearly off of Syracuse. Terrible officiating.
  17. Tough break on the missed layup. Looked like he might have gotten hit in the head.
  18. I don't even know how many times I changed the winner of that game in my bracket. I flip-flopped at least 5 times. Can't be as irrelevant as mine will be, lol. Kentucky losing in the round of 32, NC State going to the Sweet Sixteen, Marquette, Wisconsin and Wichita St. in the Final Four and Wichita St. in the National Championship.
  19. How do you miss such an obvious goaltend? I'm just waiting for a Syracuse run, though. UNC Asheville has played an awesome game, but Syracuse is such a streaky team that I can't see them not going on a run at some point this game, especially if they are able to get into the open court.
  20. Dirty move by DJO. Crowder gave Marquette the boost they needed when they hit that lull early in the half. Great energy from him on both ends of the floor. Him and DJO have realy stepped up, like you would expect from your two stars.
  21. Golden State throwing around money like nothing. Seriously though, is this even thread worthy?
  22. So I just realized that the Clippers can't trade their 1st this year since they dealt it last year and dealt the Minny 1st for CP3. Does that mean the pick in question is a 2nd? Clippers make out like bandits if that is the case. Young is a one dimensional chucker, but still, Cook and a 2nd for him? If the Wizards were clearly tanking or preserving cap space a la Toronto, it would make sense, but they took on Nene's huge deal which hurts both of those things. So what I gather the trade is: To Clippers: Young To Denver: McGee, Turiaf To Washington: Nene, Cook, Clippers 2nd
  23. Waiters is a hell of a player. I think he is going to be an absolute steal if he declares this year. Dude can play and if he ends up going late 1st round, a team is going to be very happy.
