  1. Word is Hammond still wants to get a deal done with Salmons. Salmons won't file the paper work until the 30th to allow talks to continue. Initially Hammond was offering Salmons a fourth year, I wonder if that offer will still stand. I'd love for us to be able to resign Salmons. It would allow Maggette to play the 3 and we'd still have the player that allowed us to spread the floor so well late last season. The chemistry with Salmons was great and he knew his role. Jennings Salmons Maggette Mbah a Moute Bogut Wouldn't be bad at all. :glasses: (OFF TOPIC: I love all the attention the Bucks board has gotten the past few days.)
  2. I still don't know what to think of this trade. Come back to me after the draft.
  3. There's no way we'd do both Maggette and Salmons. We just don't have the money.
  4. I'd love to be able to sign Carmelo in a year when Redd's contract is off the books. He'll be the top FA at the time and we'll be one of the teams with the most money. The only question is whether he'd actually want to come to Milwaukee?
  5. He blew out his knee two years in a row. He was basically told to stay away from the team (T-Mac) as we made our playoff push (wondering why Bogut was there supporting and Redd wasn't?). There's been no time frame set for him to come back if at all. There's been a lot of speculation that he'll never see the floor again, for any team. If he were to come back, his role on the Bucks would be extremely limited. We'd be using him as trade bait with his inflated expiring contract if anything.
  6. Exactly. If we draft Henry I think we let Salmons walk and allow Henry to start from day one like we did with Jennings. I think the two would compliment each other extremely well and it would be a lot of fun to watch two of the youngest guard combos lead a team. It's been said though that Henry will probably be gone by #15. If that's the case I'd like to see us draft a PF. Henry is really the only SG in the draft that I'd like to see us take in the first round.
  7. If we trade for Maggette (which there's obviously talks of) I doubt we even attempt to resign Salmons. Instead we'd probably draft a backup and potential future SG in the second round on Thursday's draft. I'd personally like Salmons over Maggette, but we have no need for both of them. Hopefully our team drafts smart based on this rumor. Even though I love Xavier Henry I'd hate to see us draft him only to have him sit behind an aging Maggette for the next three years.
  8. I posted this on Bleacher Report as well. Please check it out. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/409727-trade-rumor-maggette-to-the-bucks

  11. I'm going to try using Bleacher Report more in the future, mainly to cover my hometown teams. I'll post the links to all the articles in here. I'd appreciate if you could check them out.
  12. He's already stating he's turning it down and testing the FA market.
  13. I'm torn on this trade. One side of me says do it and let Salmons walk without offering him a new contract. Maggette would instantly add another scoring threat and would allow us to have three of our starting five be all-star caliber players. We'd also be sending out Bell and Gadzuric who didn't play huge roles for us last season. So we'd be sending away extra bodies for a player who would contribute to the team now. However, Maggette has been known to be somewhat selfish as well as a liability in terms of injury. He's never made it a full 82 games in a season. Also, we'd be going against our team rule of the past few seasons of keeping our cap space for the 2011/2012 season. By adding Maggette we would essentially be paying him $10 million a year for the next three years, or through the 2012/2013 season. If we're willing to sacrifice our cap space I'd rather see us attempt a trade for an efficient PF while also trying to resign John Salmons.
  14. Yeah, I agree that Hayward could be sitting there for awhile. It seems like he's either going top 12 or late 20s. We'll have to wait and see I guess. ^_^
  15. Not me. I prefer to keep all the discussion here on the boards. :glasses:
  16. I'm really surprised Indiana didn't take the deal. They'd fill the current PG void and also add an extra first round pick to build around.
  17. I agree. His workout seemed to go really well today and he "said" he loved Milwaukee. Good that he thinks him and Jennings could run the court well. However, our scouting director thinks he'll definitely be off the board by 15.
  18. FYI: I just posted this (with the addition of a player or two) on Bleacher Report. I plan on using Bleacher Report more in the future. I'd appreciate if everyone could take a look and possibly comment on there. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/409502-with-the-15th-pick
  19. There's also questions about Rasheed Wallace retiring. That may play a part in Doc's decision.
  20. Yeah... lol There was a time last year where GB brought in additional legs as a "try out" to see if they could take his place. He's not clutch at all and he's certainly not a reason why we'd be a successful team in the future. I really hate reading articles about one of my teams that was written by someone who either 1) put no time into researching the topic or 2) obviously doesn't give two [expletive]s about the team. This happened with the Bucks a lot last year. Really annoying. <_<
  21. While I agree that we will be a good team for the next few years, nothing in your article would have convinced me of that. Did you just pick a team out of a hat and quickly research some of their top stat getters and write about it?
