Wolves Offered Jefferson For Granger
TheNextBestThing replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Minnesota Timberwolves Team Forum
Thanks for clearing that up. -
It's not quite fair to compare statistics when they have very different teammates. Horford is clearly the more talented player. If not for Marc Gasol's size advantage, he wouldn't have anything.

What happened to Leandro Barbosa?
TheNextBestThing replied to ChosenOne's topic in Phoenix Suns Team Forum
Really, Barbosa has been playing just as well, if not better. It's just a case of him having less opportunity thanks to us gaining a bit more talent. -
Best Defenders At Each Position?

Oh no. They got you, too. -
Rasheed Refuses To Lay Off Referees

I'm impressed. Very cool of him, and I have to say that he's very entertaining. -
Best Defenders At Each Position?
TheNextBestThing replied to Pooh25's topic in General NBA Discussion
C- Dwight Howard Yes, he does make bone-headed mistakes too frequently. But he's too big, athletic, and energetic to be left off. PF- Tim Duncan This position would be impossible to choose if not for a dozen big men dealing with debilitating knee injuries. SF- Tayshaun Prince He isn't very strong. Other than that, he's golden. Height, incredible length, and fundamental defensive play. He could stand to be a bit faster, but his length lets him play off a slasher by half a step. Also, with apologies to Shane, there is nobody who defends Kobe (or Dwyane Wade) better than Tayshaun Prince. SG- Shane Battier No explanation required, I suppose. PG- Chancey Billups This was difficult. No, it's not Rondo or Paul. They're great for stats (and video games), but gamble far too much. Deron Williams and Jason Kidd were considered. Baron Davis probably could be the greatest defensive point guard if he really wanted to. Still, Billups is too big and strong for a point guard to think about taking him inside, and he has tremendous instincts and experience. And I feel the need to mention that Kendrick Perkins is the most overrated defender in the league. He's very lucky to play for a limelight team. -
Where do you think T-Mac will end up?
TheNextBestThing replied to JWaLL's topic in General NBA Discussion
Too bad Isaiah Thomas is gone, I suppose. -
Jason Kidd or Allen Iverson (Prime & Now)
TheNextBestThing replied to MainEv3nt's topic in Player Comparisons
It depends on my team. If I have a bad team, Iverson would be better at making them decent. If I have a decent team, Kidd would be better at making them really good. -

Seriously? Why not? -
Joke topic. It's Wilson Chandler now and forever.
-
That's an excellent argument for why we shouldn't waive him. But a trade? We could definitely get better value for him than what we're getting from him.

Who should make the All Star team from Boston?
TheNextBestThing replied to Celtics3420's topic in Boston Celtics Team Forum
Wait. Against Kendrick Perkins...you can make an argument for Brook Lopez? I can't imagine a single situation where Perkins would be better than Brook. -
I once asked a girl to come with me to an astronomy talk. She didn't. In hindsight, that probably wasn't my best work.

The thing is, he hasn't developed weapons in the half-court because he hasn't needed them so far. Once he's in the NBA and his current toolbox doesn't work as well, he'll adapt. The most likely addition is a respectable pull-up jumper.

Lynyrd Skynyrd is not in the top 100?

For the love of God, don't let Rudy Gay into the dunk contest. Ever again. I've seen the last 5 dunk contests, and Rudy Gay is the worst participant I've watched. Yes, worse than Chris Anderson.

Bacon beats everything. -
In Kobe's case, the referees truly missed those calls, so they tried to atone for them by giving Kobe a free lunch in the next game. They felt that Iverson was just complaining, and they wanted to get back at him for it.

Suns' facing Trouble in next few games
TheNextBestThing replied to Sun Tzu's topic in Phoenix Suns Team Forum
Granted. My point was that a majority of people thought that the Suns wouldn't get 40. And I think we have more talent than the Rockets have luck. -
Suns' facing Trouble in next few games
TheNextBestThing replied to Sun Tzu's topic in Phoenix Suns Team Forum
What were people predicting for the Suns before the season started? I've been hearing "Ok, this time, they're in trouble" for four years. Didn't this board vote the Suns as the most backwards team (or something like that) this off-season? Anyway, yeah, we're doomed. -

Wow, I didn't realize that we featured Dwyane Wade, LeBron James, and Dwight Howard. This is the coolest basketball site ever! But if we're created by the game, for the game...then did the game make this site for himself? I feel so bad for him.

Sloan signs deal to return as coach of Jazz for 23rd season

I think he just likes coaching. Everybody wants to win, but I don't know if Sloan needs "success" to be happy coaching. -
Sloan signs deal to return as coach of Jazz for 23rd season
TheNextBestThing replied to NJNJ's topic in Utah Jazz Team Forum
Jerry Sloan is my favorite coach in the league. He's a real professional. Are any other heads shaking that he has no coach of the year awards?
