Why do people choose to be atheist?
TheNextBestThing replied to reno's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
If the things I give God credit for turn out to have rational, observable explanations, then I will no longer believe in any god. What exactly is this "Christian level?" -

That's a great point. I know that if I were an all-powerful Creator, I'd certainly do whatever you asked. -
It's an award. He doesn't get anything from it. So, whether he deserves it or not, I really don't care that he won it. But that was hilarious. I honestly, truly, laughed out loud.

Do you still have it?

I think you need to restart.

Griz sloppy in public scrimmage

...Because if the Suns suffer from something, then it's excused for the Grizzlies to suffer too? Fine, go feel justified. Enjoy your eight wins. -

I enjoyed it. Role players often talk more freely than the stars. -
...And then stop, right? Robin was good for exactly 0 things last season. I'd rather have Frye, Amundson, or the man selling hot dogs in row 26 playing.

Arenas: Nobody Can Guard Me

So why can't Gilbert do the same? Don't say it's his PG size: Gilbert is every bit as big as Dwyane Wade. Yet Wade-Stevenson-Butler-Jamison-Haywood would feasibly be a Finals team. -
To tell the truth, Auerbach was a better GM than he was coach. His strategy worked because he put together exactly what he needed to win in his system. I'll stand by this: Jackson would have won with Auebach's teams, and Auerbach would have won with Jackson's teams.

Will we ever see a white american like Larry Bird again?

Give me a few years. -
The Thunder and he Grizzlies are better than the Suns? And Rajon Rondo is as good as Brandon Roy? My favorite thing to see will be the "intelligence" ratings. That's the biggest joke in NBA 2K9. Amare Stoudemire is smarter than Shane Battier? I think they set up a rating for "popularity" and accidentally called it "IQ."

If your company actually asked you to create a customer service poster, one of these things is true: 1. You're a tragic employee. Your boss is trying to lure you away from the real work so that you don't destroy it. The poster is busywork. 2. They seriously see it as valuable. In that case, use this: "We strive to utilize synergy in a holistic approach to further the customer experience, and empower them for facilitating and leveraging activities most effectively." That kind of talk is like expensive cheesecake to managers. You might get promoted to executive vice president of operating operations on the spot. P.S. If you use pictures, don't include any white men. Managers love diversity. 1. Asian 2. Hispanic 3. Female 4. Disabled If a person has any two of those qualities, they're perfect for a business picture. If there's a tie, pick the shorter person. If you use my advice, I want to see the poster.

That's stupid. The "organization" is the reason the player can win anything. Almost every superstar that's played in the NBA (Kobe, LeBron, Shaq, etc.) has fought through a season (or more) of missing the playoffs. At least untile the (gasp) organization built a team around him. Am I the only person that's observed his work in the front office of Charlotte? Jordan has proved that he could play basketball, but he is miserable at thinking of, talking about, or evaluating players of the game. Let him go ahead and talk about "organizations" as if he understands them. I can't wait to see the follow-up to D.J. Augustin over Brook Lopez.

DeRozan will start some game
TheNextBestThing replied to headliner's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
Yeah, you got me. I wish I could play semantics games like a professional writer. Ok, Demar DeRozan will be the third most productive player of the 2009 draft class in five years (therefore making him the wisest choice as the third pick). -

I hope you don't mind me making fun of your music. My favorite kind of music is country, so I'm assuming you'll pay me back someday. -

If it's my team on draft night, I'll take Griffin and Evans at 1 and 2. After that, it's DeRozan. -

Metalcore, deathcore, and post-hardcore, huh? Well, I listen to...black hole core. So I'm tougher, sorry. Just don't even bring up cosmic-explosion-of-genocide...core.
