  1. Something definitely needs to be done with Don Nelson. He just doesn't have the right mix of players to make this team win. He did before (Jackson, Davis, Richardson, Harrington, Monta) but now most of those guys are gone and what he's doing just isn't working at all. He needs to go.
  2. 1. Do you like Marilyn Manson? 2. If you could be anyone for an entire week, who would you be? 3. What's your favorite movie of all time ever? 4. Who is your favorite actor of all time? 5. Your favorite actress? 6. What is your favorite TV series of all time? 7. Would you rather be burned to death or drown in water? 8. Do you know where Osama Bin Laden is? 9. If so, where might he be? 10. Do you own a gun?
  3. I agree with everyone here. Whoever believes in that crap is a moron. People thought the world was gonna end December 31st, 1999 and that all computers were going to blow up or some crap like that. Nothing happened and when 12/12/12, 12/21/12, or whatever comes, nothing will happen and it'll be just another day.
  4. I may check it out now. I've been in between on the movie but I'll give it a shot.
  5. I somewhat agree with the league wide retirement of 23 but in a sense...he played for Chicago, not Milwaukee or Portland (Damn you Bowie!), or Houston, etc. But it would be pretty cool to honor him like that and make it so that no one can wear it. I don't know, I'm sort of torn on the whole thing. LeBron will look weird in number 6 though.
  6. Ahem... Andre Miller - Steve Blake Brandon Roy - Rudy Fernandez LeBron James - Martell Webster LaMarcus Aldridge - Travis Outlaw Greg Oden - Joel Przybilla Yeah, championship material right there. LeBron doesn't need money and we could just use the MLE on him to the max of it's capabilities. (wakes up from dream)
  7. Great write up man. I enjoyed the read. You made a lot of great points. Portland tends to take a commanding lead and then blow it by playing really sloppy, with the pass once or twice and hoist up a three point shot. It bugs the hell out of me when Rudy, Outlaw, and Webster do that as they're the ones mostly doing that, then when it's rebounded, the other team goes in for an easy layup or knocks down a couple of threes. As far as Oden, I've said this many times on here now, I love watching him play. He plays better and better every game, he's starting to understand the game more and more and he's becoming more aggressive on the offensive side as well. I also love the way he times his blocks. This is a really fun team to watch, especially when they get going on a run and everyone is making shots, getting the crowd fired up. I can't wait until the 5th of December in which we play the Rockets and I'll be at that game. It'll be great as they always like to put on a great show. Good write up man.
  8. It's ALL Scott's fault, not the players inability to hang onto a lead or close games, it was all Scott.
  9. I too might purchase a mug sometime later down the road.
  10. I'm really loving the way Jennings has been playing. I always thought that people underestimated him a great amount in the beginning. I also love the fact that they got this win over the Nuggets, a division rival of Portland's.
  11. I'd have to say that Portland is in the top 5 in the league, not sure if they're the best but they're up there.
  12. I decided to type in a couple of things... http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/Shorty333/Misc/google.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/Shorty333/Misc/google2.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/Shorty333/Misc/google3.png
  13. Oden leading Portland with 18 points and 11 boards. Loving it.
  14. I got inspired by the "What if Rudy stayed with Houston". I've often thought about this before but never thought about posting a topic about it...What if we would of kept Randy Foye and Tyrus Thomas? Would Foye and Tyrus have had better careers in Portland? Do you still think both would of kept getting plagued with injuries? Remember, Foye and Tyrus would of gotten loads and loads of playing time in Portland like Roy and LaMarcus did. Your thoughts?
  15. He would probably just now be getting around to where he is now. If I was Rudy, I'd be thankful that I was traded to a Memphis team that didn't have 2 other stars.
  16. Gotta love Boykins, the man who can bench press more than any of us on this forum (325lbs). I think he'll be a great addition to the Wizards, who needs crappy Mike James or stupid DeShawn Stevenson?
  17. Yes, there should definitely be a foul out rule in the league. It's been said many times in the topic the same reasons that I have.
  18. Great article and getting to see Oden make a difference night in and night out regardless of the stat sheet, is awesome. I'm loving the way he's growing as a player and if he doesn't have a huge break out year this season, next season he will for sure. But by the way he's playing, he's getting it and knowing his role on the court. I love it.
  19. I got 88, missed a lot of dumb ones. Great find.
  20. I've always wanted to read that book as I liked the movie because books are typically better than the movies. Let me know how it is.
  21. Just finished The Dirt and will now start Walk This Way.
  22. I'm withdrawing from the battle. I was working on something for the last day in a half or so and my computer restarted to finish an update and like an idiot, I hadn't saved anything on the graphic. I'm not gonna restart another one... I was really liking it too.
  23. Well, according to the Rockets, he will likely NOT return on the 18th. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4640062
