Washington @ Portland
Dr. Feelgood replied to alcstarheel's topic in Portland Trail Blazers Team Forum
Wow, in a game that should of been a blow out, we escaped with a last second shot by Brandon Roy to give us a two point lead. His shot though, was beautiful. He dribbled, pump faked, waited until the defender jumped by, took a step in, rose up, and sank the shot. Beautiful. -

Should be an easy game to win for us. Not worried about it at all. -
Do the Rockets still have a chance
Dr. Feelgood replied to Poe's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
Okay...No, they don't have a chance. Especially with how well we've been playing. -
And that's exactly what he was doing too.

Do the Rockets still have a chance
Dr. Feelgood replied to Poe's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
No, they will not. Portland is finally healthy enough to win. With the new starting five of Miller, Roy, Batum, LaMarcus, and Camby, we're clicking very very well. -
So a guy at my work (he works in a different building than I do, I've never met him but have talked to him over the phone regarding business), his parents (or parent, I'm not 100% sure) died a couple of months back and him and his sister got some good inheritance. Well, instead of buying like a house or something, he bought a Ferrari (paid cash for it). Last week, he got a $9,000 tune up on the car. He's been driving the car like it's any other car (most people cherish theirs, my boss and I saw a 4-5 year old Ferrari with 700 miles on the car on autotrader.com). Keep in mind, this is a guy that makes about 10-12 bucks an hour. Well, yesterday (3-18-10), him and a co worker were taking a product from one building to another, which was literally 2 blocks away. You can stand outside the door of the building he works at and see the building they were going to. It's definitely walking distance. So he wanted to show his co worker how fast it can go. When he hit third gear, I guess the back end of the car somewhat spun out and he smashed into a flatbed trailer or something like that. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/Shorty333/flatbed.jpg Lucky for both of them, they survived the crash. The guy in the passenger seat had to get stitches in his head while the driver had scratches and bruises I believe (I've heard various stories). This is what his car looks like now. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/Shorty333/wrecked1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/Shorty333/wrecked2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/Shorty333/wrecked3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v249/Shorty333/wrecked4.jpg Yeah...good use of money.

Portland has a great bench in my opinion. Jerryd Bayless, Rudy Fernandez, Martell Webster, Joel Przybilla (or Greg Oden). Dante Cunningham and Jeff Pendergraph show a lot of hustle when they step into the game with their limited amount of minutes.

Actually, we started talking about getting a sim going and then RD posted in the sim topic saying that he was planning on doing this. Then he posted this topic and Smitty posted the sim league sign up.

How many championships would this trio have won?
Dr. Feelgood replied to Dash's topic in General NBA Discussion
I always get depressed thoughts and wonder how many rings Drex and MJ could of won together in Portland. -
I remeber always dreaming, when I was younger, that I'd be getting an autograph from someone on the Blazers (Scottie Pippen, Bonzi Wells, Derek Anderson mainly) and the dream would feel so real that when I would wake up the next day, I actually looked for an autograph from Pippen. I don't remember my dream from last night though.

Could Kevin Pritchard be Next?

Could Greg Oden Be The Biggest Bust?
Dr. Feelgood replied to EastCoastNiner's topic in General NBA Discussion
Of course he wont be the biggest bust ever. There is a guy named Darko who I do think is a bust. He's been healthy for most of his career, was taken ahead of Wade, Bosh, Melo, Hinrich, *insert 80% of 03 class*. Oden was just getting into his groove before he got hurt. He was doing very well and it was great seeing him improve every game, because that's what he was doing, improving every game. And when he gets back, I know he'll recover from this set back. -

Must Watch! Steve Nash - Balls Talk
Dr. Feelgood replied to Sun Tzu's topic in NBA and College Basketball Media
Oh my god, he's too funny. I love when players do stuff like this. Just messing around and what not. Gotta love it. -
http://www.oregonlive.com/sports/oregonian/john_canzano/index.ssf/2010/03/canzano_vulcans_are_hovering_a.html By John Canzano Some heavy stuff said in the article, but the Blazers have got to keep Kevin Pritchard as the General Manager. Firing him would be one of the biggest mistakes. I hate when douchebags like the Vulcans who aren't basketball smart, trying to mess things up. That's why most teams have a general manager, someone who IS basketball smart, who knows what they're doing to run the team. I think Paul Allen is underestimating just how popular Pritchard is here in Portland.

OTR Sim League 2010 Sign-Ups!(Update)
Dr. Feelgood replied to Smitty's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
You do NOT have to own the game to be a general manager in the league. Though, it certainly does give you an advantage owning the game. The game retails at $20 also. -
You know it babe!

OTR Sim League 2010 Sign-Ups!(Update)
Dr. Feelgood replied to Smitty's topic in Off-Topic Discussion Forum
I'll take Hawks. STelfair333 And we can still have the Thunder. It's not hard at all to change the city name, team name, and the logo. I'll help you out with that. -
Rockets comeback vs Denver video
Dr. Feelgood replied to YugoRocketsFan's topic in Houston Rockets Team Forum
That would of been a great game to watch, to bad they decided to show the Celtics/Pistons blow out over this one. Great game and win for the Rockets. They were looking pretty good. Just wait until Yao comes back. -
Well, I guess if you like a rating system that uses a high school grading scale (A-F) and not an in depth scale from 1-100 on about 15 different abilities per each player versus about 5 or so in FBB, then maybe FBB is for you.
-
This game doesn't use bank account (I never really cared for that in FBB though I've only been in one FBB league). This game is just incredibly in depth with most things. You guys will definitely like this much better than FBB. You know the saying...once you go DDSPB, you'll never want to go back to FBB ever again ever never ever.

In my league, we do have a trade committee that will review trades that seem lopsidded. Also, we allow offseason trades to be made (but wont get put into the game until the offseason) to help keep activity up. Always review people wanting to join the league to make sure they are willing to stick with the league. Can't let some n00b get a team and not know what the [expletive] he is doing. And make sure you have more than 1 person simming because like I've said over and over, it can be stressful, being a commish and what not.

I'll give this a try... Blazers por favor.
