Tyson Chandler wasn't happy with comments made by teammate Gerald Wallace following Charlotte's loss to Utah on Saturday night. "The 4 and the 5 [positions] got eight rebounds," Wallace said after the loss. "Individually, we're not taking pride in defensive assignments. We're not taking pride in helping teammates." Chandler responded with a season-high 14 rebounds on Sunday and fired back at Wallace. "I think it's bull personally," he said. "When you lose and play like we do, you can't say that someone else is the problem. I don't feel like we're good enough to point fingers." Read More

Brittany Murphy died early this morning after she went into full cardiac arrest and could not be revived, multiple sources tell TMZ. She was 32. A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ. We're told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Murphy starred in such films as "Clueless," "8 Mile," and "Don't Say a Word." Mavericks owner Mark Cuban plans to file a protest with the NBA after his team's overtime loss to the Rockets on Friday night. "We will definitely protest," Cuban said, "because we felt there were multiple misapplications of the rules." The Mavericks contend referees didn't have the license to review a flagrant foul on Houston's Aaron Brooks in overtime that led to a technical foul on Mavericks' Erick Dampier. It marked Dampier's second technical, so he was ejected with 1:01 left in overtime. Dallas has 48 hours to formally file the protest, which costs $10,000. Cuban said that the Mavs will formally send in the protest paperwork Sunday. http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archives/63507/20091219/cuban_plans_to_file_protest_after_loss/ i dont kno much about situations like this so if someone can shed some light on this. like wha would happen an stuff??

Nas hasn't been considered the underdog in a battle since his beef with then-foe Jay-Z back in 2001. This time around, the Queens rapper hopes that the lyrical punches he threw for Mike Tyson's documentary, Tyson, help earn him an Academy Awards nomination. On Jan. 12, 2010, the Academy will screen 63 contenders for the Original Song category, including Nas' "Legendary." God's Son will have some stiff competition, though. Among some of the potential nominees are South African boy band Overtone's "Colorblind" in the Clint Eastwood directed Invictus, actress Kate Hudson's "Cinema Italiano" in Rob Marshall's musical Nine and Karen O and The Kids for Spike Jonze's big-screen take on Where the Wild Things Are. The chosen nominees will be announced Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010, at 5:30 a.m. PT from the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater. The Academy Awards for the outstanding film achievements of 2009 will be given on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Kodak Theatre. --Brad Wete http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MG32FwJwOjE
