I can think of numerous times in my head where he hit the post and someone was there to just tap in a goal from his shot, or off a rebound. He is the most dominant player in the world when it comes to controlling the game himself, his dribbling skills and passes are unreal.

I could tell you're new when it comes to watch soccer because one player does not change the game, especially in soccer. Netherlands was and is the better team, they would have won either way. The header by Robben, the goalie stood there but even if he dove, he had absolutely no change. Also the other goal by Sneijder led the goalie going toward his intention first but the deflection changed everything causing him to change direction last second. He couldn't have done anything. The first goal by Forlan should have never went in, even though it was a really nice shot.

South American soccer ... touch touch pass with a player 2 feet next to them. European soccer ... touch, pass ... through ball for a breakaway European soccer is a lot more exciting.

Talent wise, he has it all, he just never had a good mentor to be honest with you and put himself into bad conflicts at an early age. Being behind Larry Brown now and being in the NBA with world class coaches, he can learn so much. His biggest problem right now is playing and moving without the ball which can be fixed easily.
