  1. Full quote " The earth is getting warmer—both the air at the surface of the earth and the earth’s surface itself—and it is warming much faster than any natural variation. During the 20th century, the global average temperature of air at the surface increased by over 1o F., and much of that was due to our greenhouse gases. Now, this looks like a very small number, but it really is not. It is a global average and in that context it is very large. There is “only” a 9o F. difference between the middle of an ice age—with glaciers covering the northern United States—and our climate today." So guy is saying earth is getting warmer, true it was for a period of time, and that there was a 9*f difference between the ice age temperatures and today? Thats pretty cool. The quote you asked me to "disprove" "There are several trace gases in our atmosphere, present in only minute amounts, that trap heat. The most important ones of concern here are carbon dioxide and methane. Like the glass panes of a greenhouse, they let sunlight in to warm the earth but keep some of the heat from escaping back into space. If they were not there, the average temperature of the earth would be well below freezing, and none of us would be living on it. These greenhouse gases have natural sources that produce them, and natural “sinks” that remove them from the air. These natural processes have kept the greenhouse gases stable for the past 10,000 years—since the end of the last ice age. The problem now is that we are producing these gases much faster than the sinks can remove them. Our carbon dioxide comes mostly from burning fossil fuels in power plants, cars, trucks and factories, and so on, and from burning tropical forests. Methane comes from agriculture, landfills, leaking natural gas lines, and coal mines." True, there is several traces of gases in our atmosphere, nothing to dispute there. Greenhouse gasses does keep the earth warm, and traps some of the heat energy inside the planet, nothing to dispute there. If it was not for greenhouse gases, there would be no life on earth, I agree. Yes the earth does have natural ways to produce greenhouse gasses, agree. We are producing more co2 and greenhouse gases each year, with the population increases and more factories being built, I agree. Lets look closely at his quote again "Our carbon dioxide comes mostly from burning fossil fuels in power plants, cars, trucks and factories, and so on, and from burning tropical forests. Methane comes from agriculture, landfills, leaking natural gas lines, and coal mines." I agree, OUR Co2 does mostly come from what was listed, HOWEVER, out of all the 186 billion tons of co2 released in the atmosphere yearly, only 3.2% is from actual human activity, the rest is from the oceans, volcanoes, and decaying plant matter. Majority of earths greenhouse gases is watervapor.
  2. Thank you for you constructive post, can you disprove anything that I listed?
  3. First, did you read the site I linked? If you did, then you would know that the "salesman author" only cited information that came from various websites, and he gives you multiple links for the sources. Sites including nasa.org, ICECAP.us, and noaa. You can also research each of the topics that is listed, and find more claims that back it up. Its facts and numbers, not an opinion piece. The site you linked me is all listed by one author, and does not backup his claims besides his own words. Here is a quote your site listed, "During the 20th century, the global average temperature of air at the surface increased by over 1o F., and much of that was due to our greenhouse gases." His reasoning is "much of that was due to our greenhouse gases"? Wow great supporting evidence, it all makes sense now

Compare http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VP1Goe6M1bM To this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uKWHsE74T3E His voice changed, his style is different, his rap is corny, relies too much on the chorus in his newer songs, doesn't have the same fire or spit he once had. If the relapse was eminems first cd, no one would care for him.
  7. holywow, you serious lovie? Just call a challenge right after you call a t.o? Wow thanks LOVIE!! Way to blow 2 of our 3 timeouts if this does not get reversed.
  8. wow olsen really needs to learn to catch better, and wtf did we just call a t.o? Might as well throw a challenge, soo stuuuupid.
  9. DA is a beast, cutler has been calling for him to play since off season, and it takes an injured Hester to finally get him on the field...this coaching staff blows.

  11. 24 of the 50 US States had their highest ever recorded temperature in the 1930s Global temperatures declined from 1945 through 1979, yet his was a period of rapid industrial expansion and increasing CO2 production throughout the world. If CO2 and temperatures are linked, why did temperatures fall? Global temperatures have declined in five of the last seven decades even though CO2 levels increased throughout this same period. earths temperatures are not constant. There were 23 periods of cooling and warming in the past 500 years with the average cycle being 27 years long. There were two cooling and warming periods in the past 100 years alone. 1880-1915 was a period of cooling 1915-1945 was a period of warming 1945-1977 was a period of cooling 1977-1998 was a period of warming 1998-the present, it has been cooling, all related to changes in solar activity and the Pacific El Nino and La Nina cycles of the 186 billion tons of CO2 that enters into the atmosphere yearly only 3.2% is from human activity, the rest is from the oceans, volcanoes, and decaying plant matter. CO2 concentrations in the atmosphere have been as much as 25 times what they are today. Current CO2 concentrations are among the lowest in the past billion years Antarctica's represents 90% of the world's ice and 70% of its fresh water. Antarctica's sea ice volume was the largest ever recorded in 2008. The volume of Antarctic ice in 2008 was averaging one million square kilometers more than normal. Summer ice melt was 40% below the average. Solar winds are at 50 year low according to NASA, who says that the sun's output is at the lowest level ever recorded by modern instruments (announced on 9/23/2008) Solar Cycle 23 which will soon be ending will be the longest solar cycle since 1796 and solar cycle 24, which is now beginning, will most likely be very weak. This is a strong indicator that the earth will be cooling and this period will last at least 30 years or more. (this is based on 250 years of observing the relationship between solar output and temperatures.) Solar activity is the lowest level of the space age. There are 400 years of solar records. Whenever the sun is less active there is global cooling. There is no deviation. There were three ice ages with more CO2 than today. CO2 does not have much impact on global temperatures, does not cause global warming or global cooling. http://isthereglobalcooling.com/global_cooling_questions

  17. Sean payton easily, even though i hate the guy, he really turned around the saints the past few years, and looking as the nfl's most dominant team this year. Other Coaches Childress- is a joke of a coach and is only winning cause of the talent and frazier as defensive coordinator. Marvin lewis- has a good record this year, team is healthy, weak division, but they lost to the raiders and had 2 close games against the browns... Jim Caldwell- Colts defense is playing well, but its still Peytons Manning team Josh McDaniel-I believe is doing great with the TALENT he is working with, transformed the defense into a respectable defense in the league, they just need ironically a better quarterback. Norv Turner- need to give him some credit, chargers have a 7 game winning streak and Philip rivers is looking fantastic. Mike McCarthy- who would of thought greenbay packers defense would be number 1 in yards in their first year of 3-4 defense? Packers have a lot of great talent, Aaron rodgers is a beast at qb, tearing up teams with a [expletive]ty line. However, packers still need a much better oline, imagine what Rodgers could do with a real running game and line? Scary
