It seems America was our only friend after all.” “They are really used to this stuff, aren’t they?” “They really are tool cool. What is this sense of security I feel…” “Please make Japan a state.” “Guys who have seen actual combat are in a different class.” “They are heroes, seriously.” “As expected of our master! Japan will remain by your side as your Pochi forever!” “Rather than seeing our government’s incomprehensible press conferences, seeing the US army on the ground is much more reassuring.” “The SDF isn’t bad, but seeing this you can really tell how badly Japanese lack decisiveness.” “I got wet when I saw this on the news. America can have me any time!” “They seriously look too cool! USA!! USA!! USA!! USA!!” “The USA is truly Japan’s ally!” “If God made the world into a feature film America would be the protagonist.” “Americans may be stupidly optimistic but they are certainly brave and believe in justice.” “It’s amusing that we can rely on another nation’s armed forces more than we can our own government…” “I cried!” http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2011/03/17/operation-tomodachi-us-military-too-cool/ -
"Falcons President and Competition Committee Chairman Rich McKay revealed on a conference call with the media today that the Competition Committee is proposing a major modification of kickoffs, moving the kickoff back to the 35-yard line instead of the 30, and giving the receiving team the ball at the 25-yard line, instead of the 20, if there’s a touchback." http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/03/16/nfl-considers-kickoffs-at-35-yard-line-touchbacks-to-25-yard-line/#comments Bullcrap. Good news is, I think its just a proposal and not final. I don't see how this could pass... Unless the competition committee reasoning is that more touchbacks = less injuries.

"A Peterson on how players feels: AP: It's modern-day slavery, you know? People kind of laugh at that, but there are people working at regular jobs who get treated the same way, too. With all the money … the owners are trying to get a different percentage, and bring in more money. I understand that; these are business-minded people. Of course this is what they are going to want to do. I understand that; it's how they got to where they are now. But as players, we have to stand our ground and say, 'Hey -- without us, there's no football.' There are so many different perspectives from different players, and obviously we're not all on the same page -- I don't know. I don't really see this going to where we'll be without football for a long time; there's too much money lost for the owners. Eventually, I feel that we'll get something done." http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id/25236/lockout11-say-it-aint-so-adrian-peterson?prosaction=newpost&status=ok&prosaction=newpost&status=ok I wish I was a slave...

http://www.musewiki.org/images/Entrance.jpg All day and any day <8 Anyway, haarp is real, now whether it does what conspiracy theorist claim it does, is up to the question. The next rurmor is the u.s will have a massive earth quake, across the new madrid fault line due to haarp, this year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muyu4aucZDM&feature=player_embedded RFI for Pre-Packaged Commercial Meals Solicitation Number: HSFEHQ-11-R-Meals Agency: Department of Homeland Security Office: Federal Emergency Management Agency Location: Logistics Section Sources Sought Jan 20, 2011 11:54 am The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) procures and stores pre-packaged commercial meals to support readiness capability for immediate distribution to disaster survivors routinely. The purpose of this Request for Information is to identify sources of supply for meals in support of disaster relief efforts based on a catastrophic disaster event within the New Madrid Fault System for a survivor population of 7M to be utilized for the sustainment of life during a 10-day period of operations. FEMA is considering the following specifications (14M meals per day): https://www.fbo.gov/spg/DHS/FEMA/OAM/HSFEHQ-11-R-Meals/listing.html so apparently FEMA recently ordered or wants to order 140,000,000 food packages, 140,000,000 cotton blankets and underwater body bags, so I guess they are planning on 7 million people dying? Since the area effected population is 14 million. .

Broussard: MJ's ex-teammates say Kobe is better than him
reno replied to The Regime's topic in General NBA Discussion
I already went over on efg% in the previous thread, why players have a lower fg% now, and how both eras defensively is the same in terms of difficulty to score. Not gonna argue about it again. MJ never had a Human Shield, a Big O line in football blocking for him when he was going at the rim. Also, if shaq was clogging the paint, kb should have had more turnovers. How come kobes turnovers went up when shaq left? Why is kobes blocks per game lower after shaq left? His assist is also higher since shaq left? Shouldn't more of his passes been feeding the grizzly monster shaq? -

Phil Jackson says Kobe Bryant not in Michael Jordan's company Kobe has patterned himself after Michael, and there are a lot of identical things there,” Jackson told the Los Angeles Times, “but it's one thing to hope to be like him, it's another thing to be like him." Kobe Bryant earns high praise from Phil Jackson, but the Lakers coach says his current star should not be compared to Michael Jordan. (AP photo) "I'm with (ESPN's) Bill Simmons on this," he added. "We have to take Michael Jordan out of the equation. Stop comparing anyone to Michael Jordan. It's just not fair. He was remarkable. ... "(Kobe) doesn't shoot the same percentage (.455) as Michael (.497). He has the same characteristics as Michael, but he's not the same player. It takes nothing away from him — he's a great player in his own right." http://aol.sportingnews.com/nba/story/2011-03-14/phil-jackson-says-kobe-bryant-not-in-michael-jordans-company#ixzz1Gjau8FZu -
Broussard: MJ's ex-teammates say Kobe is better than him
reno replied to The Regime's topic in General NBA Discussion
“To say who’s the greatest player of all time – you may have to give that to Michael right now because of what he was able to accomplish in the game as an individual, from a team standpoint,” revealed Pippen. “He was at the top in every aspect of the game – offensively as well as defensively. Has Kobe met that yet? No. Will he? Maybe not. But does that make him less of a player than Michael was? No it does not." Pippen also goes on record saying mj would average 40-45 ppg and score 100. I believe you're wrong. Also a bit of a stretch if you're implying pippen is saying mj is only better than kobe because of his awards at this point. And who, as an athlete, would say too anyone you're less of a player? No one. Thats just an ass thing to say. Also, if kobe is much more skillful than mj on the offense side of the ball, such as ball handling, why does he have more turnovers? Wilts era, from player athlete standpoint, is far far far different than late 80s/90s compared to the 00's. Please. And I thought quotes from past players didn't matter? -

Shes obviously trolling, just trying to give religion a bad name. Wouldn't be surprised if she was an atheist, cause that's all they like to do in their free time is too bad mouth God and try to make people who believe in religion look stupid.

http://images.encyclopediadramatica.com/images/2/22/Come_at_you_bro.jpg http://images.encyclopediadramatica.com/images/b/b0/The_casey_story.jpg The Beast showing the Rat what God's are capable of On Monday the 14th of March, a video was uploaded onto JewTube that looked to be a run-of-the-mill fight video. A small, ratty child was squaring up to a much larger chubster, while his friends stood to the left with the camera. The ratty child, know as Ritchard, threw a punch, connecting with the chubster, Casey. Casey moved with the punch, but didnt back away or show any sign of pain. This was to be the Rat's first warning, which he failed to heed. The Rat then began bouncing on his heels, taunting Casey by feigning punches to his stomach. Casey is seen moving his arm at speeds not yet achieved by mortal men. This was to be the Rat's second warning. And then, following another feigned punch from the Rat, Casey acted. But it is not right to call him Casey any more, because he is much, much more. He is the Beast. Channeling the power of the Immortal Gods, the Beast threw himself at the Rat and subdued him. He then proceeded to hoist the Rat up in to the air, pausing briefly to savour the smell of fear, before slamming the Rat down with enough force to destroy the other half of Japan. Contemplating a kick to the head, the Beast decided against it, knowing the Rat was humiliated and broken. One of the Rat's counterparts came up with the intention of getting revenge, but when the Beast looked him square in the eyes he became paralyzed with fear. The Beast, satisfied with his work, turned and strode off to his lair. The Beast's current whereabouts are unknown, but it is very likely he slumbers in an underwater cave in the Bermuda Triangle. Because he's the hero St Marys North deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight. http://encyclopediadramatica.com/The_Casey

Will Thibodeau burn out his players? "No, because even though Thibs is annoying sometimes, we respect how much effort he puts into it," Joakim Noah said with a sly grin. "When you see a coach put that much into it, his heart and soul, you can't be mad at his intensity. Because you know he's giving everything he's got. "Thibs is really intense, man. You hear him screaming on the sideline. You've got to love it and respect it. We have a great game plan. Before games, we have two-hour shootarounds. I don't think there are a lot of teams doing two-hour shootarounds. We're prepared." "We got Washington next, and Thibs is going to make it seem like the biggest game ever," Luol Deng said. "And then we go to New Jersey and they beat us there last time, so he's going to have a lot for us to hear. Every game, there's something. It's great. You find a way to get up every game. "The first thing he spoke about (in the locker room Saturday) was us giving up 59 second-half points to Utah. And Friday night, he spoke about the last few minutes against Atlanta (when the Bulls surrendered six points in garbage time). It's just how he is. But at the same time, you leave the locker room thinking we have to do a better job next time instead of leaving thinking we're the best team in the world." "If we were losing, maybe his style could burn out players," Kurt Thomas said. "But we're winning, and the makeup of this team is serious. Tom has a high level of expectation, but he still has the same approach and philosophy that he's had since he broke into this league." Thomas' association with Thibodeau dates to their Knicks days in the late 1990s. Thomas said Thibodeau hasn't changed a bit. So did Brian Scalabrine and Keith Bogans, two other veterans who played for Thibodeau when he was an assistant. "He gives us days off, mixes it up," Bogans said. "And he knows what he's doing. He's always had that serious mindset, no b.s. approach. He's never going to change. I don't think he knows any other way to act. Basketball is his life." http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/basketball/bulls/ct-spt-0314-bulls-chicago--20110313,0,4003261.story

It sure helped kobe shoot 33% against the mavs the following day. All players train/practice hard, just cause one decides to do it more publicly doesn't make him any better than the rest.
