Has anyone else ever had Mono? I was diagnosed Sunday (have a severely sore throat since Thursday), went to the ER, did a strep test which was negative, then after a blood test they found out I have Mono. The sore throat is the worst [expletive]ing thing ever. It hurts to even swallow your own saliva. Trying to drink water and stay hydrated, but it hurts like a [expletive]. Not to mention I can't play basketball or any other strenuous activities for 8 weeks (could cause my spleen to swell/burst). Anyone else ever have this? How long before the sore throat went away? Any tricks to help the sore throat?
