  1. The Sun I’m excited to see Davis for the first time some point next week. I don’t know how much run he will get or if he will be sent to the D League to get back into playing shape but the main thing is if he can contribute on the defensive end by rebounding and blocking shots, it would make a huge difference on this team.
  2. Every year it’s the same thing and it’s all about favoritism by fans and the coaches actually make the all star selection legit by selecting players who deserve to be an all star
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeBgpQBlP-g Does anyone else find this odd?
  4. Everything Bosh says he gets ripped for it and it serves him right because he wanted the media’s attention and now he’s got it. Bosh hasn’t played well overall and I personally expected it because he has never played with two excellent wing players and it’s going to take time for him to figure out where he can impact the game. People forget that Bosh is a finesse type big man who can score and to expect anything else is ludicrous.
  5. He has only played 82 games in about 4 seasons based on that only I don’t think it’s worth the risk to take a chance on him. He definitely has the talent to be great in the NBA but what is the point if your not playing but it wouldn’t surprise me if a team took a chance on him and Oden lived up to his potential.
  6. I haven't won a single week yet but I'm still at the top of the pack
  7. Solomon Alabi will only be useful if he becomes a great shot blocker and if that all he accomplish I would be very happy.
  8. Andrea is trying to play more down low but I think Beasley would have been a good fit in terms of allowing Andrea do what he does best which is take jump shots off the dribble. Beasley could have been the guy scoring down low and rebounding for the Raptors. Current issue I see with the raptors when you pass the ball down low to Evans your getting nothing out of him he has any offensive presence.
  9. Jay said it right but a lot of the guys looked tired if you asked me. They didn't bring any energy.
  10. I'm hating this game why is it every play Demar is standing in the bloody corner?

  12. I’m just looking forward to see Demar’s development whether they win or lose. I want to see the raptors keep giving Demar the ball and continue to build his confidence.
  13. I think it was strictly a character issue because Colangelo could have had both players on his roster but he chooses not to take Beasley. Beasley is a talent that no one can deny and because of his past mistakes Colangelo must have felt that he wouldn’t be the right fit for this team even if he is a great talent to have. If you think about it raptors are a young team and Beasley could influence these players in a negative way so to answer your question I do think it was strictly a character issue.
  14. Demar averaging 23.5 points and 6.5 rebounds since the coaching staff expanding his role all I'm going to say is keep giving him the ball for his development and the teams future.
  15. Who cares about Weems this thread is about DeRozan and I just love the way he has been playing in past two games. I’m finally seeing plays being called for him and he is executing by either making a play for himself or creating for his teammates and most importantly he is being very aggressive. DeRozan has the same problem that Weems has which is consistency which is very common with all young players but I love what I’m seeing out of him. My issue with him is that he takes plays off but I think it’s a conditioning issue. He needs to get used to playing 40 plus minutes. DeRozan needs to improve his three point shooting and his defensive. Wade really exposed him in the last game but on the defensive end it hasn’t been easy for him. As time past I can see DeRozan becoming a really good defensive player for the Raptors.
  16. Sonny Weems is in my mind improving on his overall basketball IQ. People like to talk about how he takes bad shots and I do agree at times he takes ill advised shots but it’s shots that he can make and Sonny knows he can make those shots its just at time in the flow of the offense its not the right shot to take. He has an excellent mid range game which we saw that last season and were seeing it again this season. He even able to hit the three from time to time but Sonny’s issue on the offensive end is consistency from game to game. Defensively Sonny doesn’t know how capable he is. He is too focused on the offensive end meanwhile he can be a much better defensive player. I just think that Sonny has the overall package to be a solid NBA player for years to come.
  17. Colangelo is very big on character guys and based on Beasley’s past transgression I wouldn’t want a player like that on my team and clearly Colangelo feels the same but based on his play thus far it would have been worth the risk to take a chance on him. Beasley is playing with a chip on his shoulder it just looks as he wants to put every single doubter in their place.
  18. Solomon Alabi needs playing time and he is finally going to get it in the D league
  19. Bosh didn't look to happy sitting. From what I've seen Bosh hasn't played to expectation and he looks very fustrated with himself. I think over time when he has better understanding of his role on the team Bosh will play better basketball,
  20. Andrea with a solid first half but overall not much defence played in this game but this is the best I've seen the raptors offensively.
  21. I can understand the rationale behind not taking him based on his past history outside of the game but the raptors made a mistake. Talent is talent at the end of the day and this team clearly lacks talent.
  22. It’s all about the amount of time he spends down there. I personally don’t like the fact the raptors have decided to send Davis to the Dleague but if it’s just to get his legs under him then it’s a great idea.
  23. Not much of a surprise there for Solomon but I didn’t expect them to send Davis because I thought they would allow him to become accustomed to the NBA game and slowly amalgamate him into the system.
  24. I don’t think sending him to the dleague isn't always the best thing to do because you want him to be able to learn the system. He has missed the entire training camp so it going to take a lot of time to become accustomed to the NBA and his team’s system and that can only happen through practice as he gets comfortable he should slowly get playing team in games.
