He is young and enjoying his life. If you were the number one pick you be doing it too! -
Suns to acquire Hedo Turkoglu and Josh Childress
headliner replied to Sun Tzu's topic in Phoenix Suns Team Forum
This deal in particular isn’t working out for both sides thus far. Barbosa and his wrist injury and Turk just suck in my opinion. -
Raptors interested in Earl Barron?
headliner replied to headliner's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
It maybe a joke but the Raptors do need a legit big man down the middle and BFT is right the Raptors just need to wait for Davis to return but my only concern would be whether Davis is going to produce. He is coming off knee surgery and he missed training camp therefore it's going to take him time to get adapt to this team system. He is going to be slowly brought in the games until he is comfortable with what the team is running. To make matters a tad bit difficult he is a rookie who hasn’t played a single NBA game so there is going to be a learning curve for Davis. At the end of the day it wouldn’t be a bad idea to bring in an additional big to help this team. -
The bulls are making a comeback and they're doing it through their defense by turning the Knicks over
-
Both Bryan and Jay are proud men and they believe this team is going to surprise the league but thus far they're proving everyone right and Demar isn't getting enough playing time but at some point Bryan and Jay need to realize they're in rebuilding mode.

This is very odd and it's the first time I'm hearing about it.

Hoopsworld I don't know much about this guy so if anyone could fill me in it would be most appreciated.

Matt Devlin Appreciation Thread
headliner replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Toronto Raptors Team Forum
I thought Chuck Swirsky was very entertaining and brought passion to the way he commentated -
Jack was sloppy in my mind and I’m surprised that he only had 3 turnovers because it seem like it was a lot more to me. He had only 4 assist and scored 14 points. Jack needs to take better care of the ball and look to disturbed the ball more. Sonny Weems was solid on the offensive end scoring 23 point 7 of 13 from the field. As for Andrea scoring 26 points and had 9 rebounds. Its clear Andrea is more than capable of being the leading scorer he just needs to improve defensively and the raptors need a consistent effort on the boards. Demar in my opinion needs more touches. The team invested time into Demar last season and he has clearly put in the work but he needs ball to produce. In the third quarter he put up 8 points. Demar and Andrea was the reason why the managed to cut the lead down to 1. Like I said before I think Jay is doing a poor job of handling Demar thus far this early season. Calderon is just inconsistent and has been for the past 2 seasons. Right now the teams point guard situation is very shaky and it needs to be resolved either internally or externally.

Start the 4th with the second unit which resulted in the team being down 13 points. Jack is just not taking care of the ball and the Jazz are back on track shooting 8 of 13 in the 4 quarter
-
Andrea has put up 13 points in the third to bring the raptors within 5
-
Your absolutely right. Jay is coaching to win the game and for that reason I understand why he does some of his moves but my problem is Demar doesn't get any looks and it's put Demar in the position where he takes a shot or forces it because there is no play called for him. Demar clearly wants to prove his worth and prove how good he is and I just think Jay needs to put him in the position to do so.

Wow the Magic scored 78 first half points. They killed it!
-
Shaq already missing games not really a surprise there.
-
It's only game four of the season and Amir at some point will get his act together and start playing better basketball. Besides Dorsey is doing a decent job compared to the rest of the bigs on the team. Everything is clicking for the Jazz and the raptors need to do something to disrupt the Jazz. Like get back on defence and not to turn over the ball.
-
Just a terrible start to the game giving up 41 points in the first quarter
-
It’s true it always seems that a lot of NBA players get off their slide against the Raptors but the Raptors have been a poor defensive team for some time and thus far I think they’re better but they can not allow another defensive collapse like they did against Sacramento Kings.

Who's Streak Will Last The Longest?
headliner replied to Big Penny's topic in General NBA Discussion
Last to Lose: Lakers Last to Win: Clippers -
Whether or not this is true Lebron talked about his reasoning for joining the heat was to win championships so at the end of the day that is what this team will ultimately do and all the other stuff doesn’t really matter when it comes to basketball.
-
They only way I see a deal happening if it turns into a 3 team deal other than that I don’t think there is a possibility of a trade going down.
-
The raptors are going to play a well discipline team in Utah Jazz couple important things is that they can’t have a defensive collapse as they did against Sacramento Kings. They’re going to need to contain Deron Williams and not give up wide open three’s. Thing I’m going to be looking for is whether or not Demar is able continue his performance from the Sacramento game to tonight’s game.

Del Negro Criticizes Baron's Work Ethic
headliner replied to The Lone Granger's topic in Los Angeles Clippers Team Forum
Baron Davis was a fun player to watch and it seems to me that he is not motivated any more and you can tell which has been already stated that he has gotten out of shape and he has clearly didn’t put in the work that was needed to prepare for this season. Everyone knows that Baron has loads of talent and when he is on top of his game he is a very dangerous player but I haven’t seen the fire in him in a very long time. By Del Negro saying this in public I hope it may motivate him to really work hard and get back to form and play some exciting basketball again. -
Wizards Want Blatche In Post More
headliner replied to Built Ford Tough's topic in Washington Wizards Team Forum
Saunders is the type of coach that knows how to coach veterans. He can really work with polished players and thus far he is finding it difficult to change the culture of the wizards.
