I wouldn’t disagree for one second that the only route for the raptors to go is drafting the best player available prime example would be last year draft with Ed Davis. This team definitely needs more talent overall so I guess the really question is Does Andrea fit in with the core group of players that we currently have or is he the right piece to the puzzle that Colangelo is putting together?

NJ.com If nothing were to work out in this draft for the raptors I would love nothing more to finally see a Canadian drafted by the raptors especially a good guy like Tristan.

RAPTORS HQ This article really talks about players that get drafted and whether or not they fit what the team already has in place. Base on this past season I would argue whether Andrea even fits the core group of young players that we currently have. I’m all for moving Andrea out and bringing in a center either through free agency or trade.

Getting a big man is an obvious need for the raptors but I don’t think the answer is in this draft. From what I’ve seen each big man seems like a project with the exception of Kantar but I think he most likely be taken by Cleveland with #4 or Utah with #3.

It’s great that the whole GM situation is cleared up. We all know the direction of this team and I think most people are happy with the direction this organization is going. Colangelo is been given a fair opportunity to ride this ship and hopefully he will produce what we all been waiting for 16 years which is a winning team.

The important thing is that he will be healthy come next season whenever the season starts. I’m sure he is disappointed because he probable had a lot of plans to improve his game for next season but it won’t be a complete waste.

My problem with him is a player his size and what he contributes on the defensive end was next to nothing. This team to make any kind of improvements they need a defensive minded big man in the middle and Andrea does not fit the bill.

I don’t know if anybody feels the same way but for me if the unofficial second half of the season is about development then were talking about Demar,Ed and Bayless. I really do think the raptors needs to make a decision on guys like Reggie and Barbosa because these guys will take minutes away from these young guys and at this point and time of the season it becomes more important to let these young guys play more minutes and allow them to develop.

Based on the only fact that the raptors don’t want to take in any salary I can understand why they wouldn’t use the TPE. In my mind the timing of acquiring the TPE was terrible so it seems it’s a complete waste if somehow the TPE become useful come draft night.

I really don’t have a problem with extending Colangelo this long as long as the team continues to get better. My only concern at this point would be the mixture of young players that we have at this present moment it feels we have similar players playing for this team. Not only that but the talent level that the raptors have is not enough and Colangelo needs to continue to add more talented young player preferably at the PG and C spots.

This is the best news I've heard from the raptors. I just hate this guy.

How is Arenas going to make this team any better considering how he has been playing thus far this season? I would stick with Vince Carter.

The numbers show that he has improved but I still think it's a shot that he can become more consistent with.

I like what I see out of the bulls defensively and I think they could possibly have the longest win streak of the season.

I was thinking the same thing. If you look at the contract he received he is so not worth that contract. Since receiving the contract he hasn’t played up to the potential that he supposedly had and he hasn’t made the all star team either.
