I forgot about him, I'll update my list in a bit.

Who do you think is the NBA's best defensive player at each position? Discuss... Template for posting: Point guard: ________ because _________ Shooting Guard: _______ because _________ Small Forward: ________ because _________ Power Forward: _______ because _________ Center: ______________ because _________ Mine: Point Guard: Chris Paul - Amount of steals and he's probably the best point guard defender out there. If I was a homer, I'd say Derrick Rose, but he needs major work on the defensive end. SG: Kobe Bryant / Dwyane Wade - We all know what they're capable of. SF: Shane Battier/Ron Artest - Artest plays similar to Rodman and Battier is just a very good defender. PF: Kevin Garnett - He has great footwork and can match anyone with his athleticism. C: Dwight Howard - Reigning Defensive Player of the Year and all the other NBA Centers aren't as good as him.

Like, I've stated previously in other threads, this would be a win-win situation for Chicago.
-
Well, it always helps when you're playing teams such as Indiana and Detroit, but the win against NOH was huge.
-
Why are you guys Heat Fans, instead of Orlando Magic fans? Just wondering and were you Miami Heat fans before Dwyane Wade?

I'm liking the current move by Vinny Del Negro to insert Kirk Hinrich into the starting line-up, it's paid off. John Salmons looks like the old season with the second group. I'm all for shipping Salmons to Houston, though. I would accept that deal in a heart-beat.

Yeah, that was a great game. The Bulls didn't play very well in the second quarter or the 4th, I thought we were going to lose for a tad bit. Oh, I was also at that game, it was awesome. I almost won myself a t-shirt lol.

Knowing Salmons, he most likely will. Brad Miller hasn't been playing that well for the Bulls, it's not a huge loss anyways. Tyrus Thomas is back and Joakim Noah has been aggressive on the boards. I'll take our chances on that.

Name: Aaron Joseph. I'm a really big Chicago Bulls fan and I've been a Chicago Bull fan since birth and remember watching Jordan + Pippen in the glory days when I was about age 5. So... What's up? - 23Bullsaj.

Stiff Penalties Expected For Arenas, Crittenton http://www.realgm.com/images/nba/4.2/wiretap/photos/2006/Arenas_Gilbert_was_091219.jpg A number of NBA sources believe that commissioner David Stern is going to issue stiff penalties to Washington guards Gilbert Arenas and Javaris Crittenton. The league is investigating whether Arenas had accessed any of his unloaded firearms while engaged in the dispute prior to a team practice at the Verizon Center on Dec. 21. The District of Columbia has stringent gun laws that prohibit the carrying of weapons, openly or concealed. Both players could be subject to penalties and fines. Via Yahoo! Sports --- Thoughts? The Chicago Bulls waived Tim Thomas during the off-season.

Read this earlier on another NBA forum. I'm disappointed that Brad Miller has more votes then Joakim Noah. Joakim Noah has been a beast this season and he's been snubbed. Vote Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah(fill-in).

John Salmons will most likely opt-out anyway, because he is under-paid.

If Chicago didn't win those games, I would've been pissed off. I would've suggested Chicago tank the season, after seeing them give up a 35-point lead and losing to the NETS! Yeah, Okafor was scared to go into the lane, after being rejected by Thomas for going in too soft. Okafor kept second-guessing him the game and that cost New Orleans. Devin Brown was impressive in the first half, but he just deteriorated during the second half. Tyrus still needs to condition himself, but I'm thinking Vinny Del Negro will go with that line-up, if he's still here when Thomas recovers. We really missed the defensive presence that Thomas provides for us, which Taj Gibson doesn't. Taj is a good defender and has a high defensive IQ, but he can't do things that Tyrus can, which is invaluable for the Bulls. Pargo's minutes have severely dropped, I thought he would get more playing time when he was signed. James Johnson, when he's been on the court, has been alright, he just needs more minutes to adjust to the game.

This is going to be a real test for the Chicago Bulls, after playing teams such as Indiana and Detroit. Vinny Del Negro's hot seat will on "burn" even more, if he loses this game. This is a big for Vinny Del Negro, especially and I would try to motivate my guys to the best of my ability. TV: WGN9 CHICAGO.

Chicago Bulls. The Bulls have a more enticing offer then the New York Knicks and it's a win-win situation for us. Houston Receives: - John Salmons (He can opt-out if he would desire) - Brad Miller(Expiring Deal) - Jerome James(Expiring Deal) Chicago Receives: - Tracy McGrady(Expiring Deal) Houston gets two good players: John Salmons & Brad Miller and Jerome Jones' expiring deal will just help them with salary. It's a win-win situation for Chicago because we get an expiring deal(Tracy McGrady) and if he doesn't play well, he's gone at the end of the season. If he plays well, we can re-sign him and get possibly another star such as Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh.

Yeah, I agree with what you are saying. The Bulls are also giving V.D.N. until the end of the month to fix this tragic show. It helps when you beat teams such as Detroit, Indiana, and New Orleans, but Del Negro is still on the hot-seat for sure.

Monta Ellis: http://lowposts.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/03/monta_ellis.jpg Derrick Rose: http://thehoopdoctors.com/online2/wp-content/uploads/2009/rosecloser.jpg What do you think about these two players and what are their differences? Which player do you think is more dominant long term and which player is more dominant currently? What are each of these players' weaknesses and what the other player is better at? Monta Ellis is better offensively, being able to hit shots at a high percentage, while Rose is inconsistent with his jump shot, but he has put a lot of time into working on his jumper, this previous summer. The edge goes to Monta here. Rose's strength and passing abilities surpass Monta Ellis'. Rose has better court vision then Monta Ellis and Derrick Rose has proven he can be a winner, I don't think Monta Ellis has yet. An impressive accolade, that not even Monta, Chris Paul, or Deron Williams received was that Derrick Rose has the most points(36) in a rookie playoff debut. Derrick is still developing and I would say Monta is better offensively right now then Derrick Rose, but Rose's career will be better then Ellis'. *Important Note: Derrick Rose has been playing with an ankle injury for about 95% of the season and recovered against the Atlanta Hawks. Who do you think is better and why?

Yeah, a nice little 3 game win streak. Indiana, Pistons, & New Orleans. Tyrus Thomas had a huge impact against the Hornets and Derrick Rose has been playing well. Kirk Hinrich inserted into the starting lineup is showing why he should deserve it and Salmons feels comfortable with the second group. Coaching Candidates I would like: Jeff Van Gundy Avery Johnson Lawrence Frank I wouldn't want one of their assistants having the job, because for the upcoming free-agency, we need to find a well-respected coach.

Best player the Bulls currently have?
Pooh25 replied to bigdog17k's topic in Chicago Bulls Team Forum
Rose's ankle is still bugging him, it bothers his speed and ability, which are a big part of his game. It's very hard to play with a lingering ankle injury, trust me on this one.
